What be the crash speed of Dale Earnhardt Sr. when he died?

Answers:

Earnhardt, running fourth, grazed Sterling Marlin's car, crashed into the wall at the high-banked fourth turn going more or less 180 mph, and was smacked not easy by Ken Schrader.
180 mph
It was 184 mph.
I agree beside Kevin, it was approximately 180 mph.
From the actual investigation it be estimated he was between 157-160 mph when he impacted the wall.
180
Earnhardt's saloon, traveling at roughly 180 mph, then be struck on the side by Ken Schrader's car up to that time slamming head-on into the outside wall. Doctors said he probably died instantly of head injuries

Nascar vs. f1 vs. street race cars?

Question:sorry if this is a stupid question, since i know nought about race but i am curious. roughly speaking, which car would be fastest on an oval track? on a straight track? on an f1 track? on a breezy mountain road? assume that all drivers are using ideal technique and there are no restrictions on regular parts for those vehicle (no rocket engines or jet packs), in attendance is infinite fuel supply, and no tire wear. how much does the style of driving matter vs. the design and power of the sports car itself? or would they all be roughly like peas in a pod?
Answers:

before restrict or plates a nascar would top out at something like 210 mph on the big super speedways, the honda f1 car topped out at around 245 mph the the saline flats last summer, so within a top speed run the f1 has it weather its a straight string or an oval as for the windy mountain road the f1 vehicle would leave the nascar at the first turn contained by all aspects of running the f1 driver and car are the best, the with the sole purpose exception is straight line acceleration where on earth a funny car or top fuel dragster are the kings, as far as driving style, nascar team sometimes bench there regular drivers on road courses to agree to dedicated road race guys drive there cars so yes style does play into the factoring
an F1 is made for tight cornering at elevated speeds, although to be honest nascar's autos' usually run over 1,000HP i beleive so it depends , how good the handling is on a nascar compaired to the (roughly) 700+HP of the F1 do some research i guess
F1

Modern Formula One cars are mid-engined unambiguous cockpit, open helm single-seaters. The chassis is made largely of carbon fibre composites, rendering it table lamp but extremely stiff and strong. The whole motor, including engine, fluids and driver weighs simply 605 kg. In fact this is the minimum bulk set by the regulations – the cars are so light that they regularly have to be ballasted up to this minimum counterweight.

The cornering speed of Formula One cars is largely determined by the aerodynamic downforce that they generate, which pushes the car down onto the track. This is provided by 'wings' mounted at the front and reverse of the vehicle, and by ground effect created by the movement of air below the flat bottom of the car. The aerodynamic design of the cars is massively heavily constrained to limit operation and the current generation of cars sport a life-size number of small winglets, "barge boards" and turning vanes designed to closely control the flow of the air over, beneath and around the car. The "barge boards" contained by particular are designed, shaped, configured, used to and positioned not to create downforce directly, as with a conventional wing or underbody venturi, but to create vortices from the upper air spillage at their edges. The use of vortices is a significant feature of the most modern breeds of F1 cars. Since a vortex is a rotating fluid that creates a low pressure zone at its center, creating vortices lowers the overall local pressure of the air. Since low pressure is what is desired underneath the car, allowing majority atmospheric pressure to press the car down from the top, by creating vortices, downforce can be augmented while still staying in the rules.

The other major factor controlling the cornering speed of the cars is the design of the tyres. Tyres surrounded by Formula One are not 'slicks' (tyres with no tread pattern) as surrounded by most other circuit racing series. Each tyre have four large circumferential grooves on its surface designed to further constrict the cornering speed of the cars. Suspension is double wishbone or multilink all round next to pushrod operated springs and dampers on the chassis. Carbon-Carbon disc brakes are used for reduced substance and increased frictional performance. These provide a extremely high rank of braking performance and are usually the thing which provokes the greatest reaction from drivers strange to the formula.

Engines are mandated as 2.4 litre as a rule aspirated V8s, with abundant other constraints on their design and the materials that may be used. The 2006 generation of engines rev close to 20,000 rpm and produce up to 740 bhp (552 kW).[9] The previous classmates of 3-litre V10 engines are also allowed, albeit with their revs restricted and with an nouns restrictor to limit performing. Engines run on unleaded fuel closely resembling publicly available petrol. The oil which lubricates and protects the engine from overheating is markedly similar in viscosity to hose. For 2007 the V8 engines will be restricted to 19,000 rpm with fixed development areas allowed, following the engine specification freeze from the winding up of 2006. As outright speed and power are effectively being cap it is widely believed that teams will work on rising reliability, and the torque range of the engine to upgrade driveability.

A wide range of technologies – including live suspension, ground effect aerodynamics and turbochargers – are banned below the current regulations. Despite this the 2006 generation of cars can make speeds of up to 350 km/h (around 220 mph) at some circuits (Monza).[10] A Honda Formula One car, running near minimum downforce on a runway in the Mojave desert achieve a top speed of 415 km/h (258 mph) in 2006. According to Honda, the saloon fully met the FIA Formula One regulations.[11] Even with the limitations on aerodynamics, at 160 km/h, aerodynamically generate downforce is equal to the weight of the coupé and the often repeated claim that Formula One cars create adequate downforce to 'drive on the ceiling' remains true in principle, although it have never been put to the exam. At full speed downforce of 2.5 times the car's weight can be achieve. The downforce means that the cars can carry out a lateral force of around four and a half times the force of gravity (4.5 g) within cornering - a high-performance road car approaching the Ferrari Enzo achieves around 1 g.[12] Consequently within corners the driver's head is pulled sideways beside a force equivalent to 25 kilograms. Such high lateral forces are adequate to make breathing difficult and the drivers want supreme concentration to maintain their focus for the 1 to 2 hours that it take to cover 305 kilometres

World speed record holder Russ Wicks established a current World Stock Car Speed Record in a NASCAR-spec Autodesk Ford Taurus of 222.623 miles-per-hour at the Bonneville Salt Flats contained by Utah

WHILE FI THE SPEED IS AROUND 22O MPH

SO THEY CAN RUN PRETTY FAST AND ALMOST THE SAME BUT F1 IS MADE FOR TIGHT CONERING WHILE NASCAR TO SLOW DOWN IN CORNERS AND TO LET THE CAR GO IN CORNERING
THE FASTEST IN AN OVAL TRACK MIGHT BE THE F1 ON STRAIGHT TRACK BOTH OF THEM ON A FI TRACK THE F1 WIN ON A WINDY MOUNTAIN ROAD I WOULD SAY BOTH

driving matter vs. the design and power of the vehicle IS PRETTY MUCH THE SAME
ALTHOUGH MAY BE DIFFERENT DEPENDS ON DRIVER

CHEERS
NASCAR AND F1 LOVER
Several of the answers above are excellent. You should also factor in the driver's talent and experience.
I imagine that you missed one here for ovals. Indy cars are essentially aircraft built to run on a variety of racetracks - partially of which are ovals. With the change to ethanol, I'm audible range that 220's at Indy aren't out of the question. On a circuitous road, though, F1 is specifically designed for this type of facility with nippy pickup. NASCAR shouldn't even be part of the discussion.
I assume if you sent the three different types of car around Mount Panorma, bathurst. The V8s would still be going flat out after 6 hours.
F1 hand down no comparo.
I would have to throw contained by one more sports car on you guys. A DP01 Champ car. A Champ sports car is so aerodynamically advanced its the only see car that can see upside down.
The F1 car win on every track: F1 track, mountain track, oval, straight line. It's faster: top out at 255 mph compared to 220 for nascar or indy, and it also corners faster. It's the most advanced type of sports car . To all the guy below. You hold mombling about 220 for indy. SO WHAT? F1 grasp to 255 . Period.
For racer x are you blind ? F1 cars have be known as competent to drive up-side down for over 20 years. Even a Ferrari F50, Enzo, and other street legal cars can generate more down force than theyr mass and thus drive on the ceiling :) A guy above just sayd that F1 cars generate 2,5 times they own substance in downforce. Lol champ coupé 's the most advanced :)) That champ car uses sideskirts for generate down force. That technology is decades old surrounded by F1 , it's not even used today, besause it was to decisive so it 's banned. Even lacking that the F1 cars make 2,5 time they immensity in downforce.

Am i the with the sole purpose one that think the rule that you own to variety the "The Chase" is stupid?

Question:i liked winston cup's rule be better. i hope they change the chase rule be you have to be contained by the top 10 in points contained by order to win the title fight.
Answers:

I've never liked the chase. The proponents of the "chase" liken it to other sport's "playoffs". The difference is that when you brand name the other sport's playoffs, you're only competing against other team that make the playoffs.
If it be a true "playoff", the last ten race would only include the team that make the chase, beside some sort of graduated dis-qualifier so that by the later race within would only be two team. That would be ridiculous!
And when is the last time that you saw a second place team come out of the stands to spoil a super bowl. That's what happen in race all the time.
The antediluvian system simply needed a few "tweaks" to make it better but the unusual Nascar, interested in entertainment, not race, couldn't leave economically enough alone.
There will come a time when a squad that is CLEARLY deserving of the title fight will be denied because of the stupid "chase". Then we will begin again anew. Until next, we have to put up next to it.
I think alike way as you...I don't get the drift why the other racers would continue to even see if they were lately crash pads for the top ten the rest of the opening.
I would like to see them expand the number of drivers who can construct the chase to the top twelve to fifteen cars. That way one or two impossible races wouldn't knock out a apposite car Dale Earnhardt Jr person a perfect example. The drivers who don't gross the chase have abundant reasons to see hard approaching prize money, sponsor recognition, points money is salaried at the end of the season relative to your finishing position. And probably most importantly a driver near some good performances at the finish off of the season might catch the eye of an owner next to a better ride available, and there's also pride which i would think is a big factor.
some ways it does because if you are surrounded by the top 20 it dont matter anymore but if you be only top 11 through 20 that slow in the season u probably r not going to build a impact anyway. It keeps the ones not race for the cup to not so aggresive towards the people that r race for the cup. u know what i mean up to that time the chase happened how abundant times did we see the top 5 wrecked by someone who did not matter next to the points now that have changed just my judgment though it makes race even harder for the boys of nascar because they cant have any mistakes time of year anymore and luck has to be on your side
yeah this together top 10 thing sucks.

But the motivation the other 30 guys still show up to race is because they grasp paid to show up.

Just close to the teams retribution the broadcasters covering the race to speech about thier drivers.

Listen at the subsequent race.
If they lone mention a number, no name no sponsor.
That squad did not pay the broadcasting company anything.

There is so much wheel and dealing going on,
That making it into the top 10 is only the tip of the iceberg
i approaching the old winston style.
i love the chase. it's the best thing that's happen to NASCAR in my time time, so get over it
The guys out of the top 10 mathematically couldn't win the challenge anyway under the elderly system, so it doesn't matter.
Luke... I am your father
Yeah, I agree beside you on the question...the chase rule is dumb! I don't know what the best road to handle it would be, or why they did it that road, but they should make a variation!
you must be a Jr. fan.Don't verbs so am I.Yeah, all of thesis crazy rules and regulations have really taken away from material die hard race.
I think it is stupid massively stupid. I love the sport but it seems approaching they are always have rule changes I still don't get hold of the point of the free pass for the first lapped guy.
i agree they should move off things as they were.

Which activity should I procure, Nascar 2005: Nextel Chase for the Cup or Nascar 06: Total Team Control?

Answers:

Nascar 2006 is much better. you can race your track from the bottom to the top. Plus the AI doesnt just permit you win you actually get to earn it. Plus you can earn hero points and villain points to where inhabitants will either resembling you or hate you. I muse villains in fact make more fan
NASCAR '06 all the mode. I love that game...it's abundantly better than the 2005 one. The features are fun, and it's challenging but not too tricky. I love '06!!! Get that one!!
They are both good games but 06 is better contained by my opinion
06 is apt buti think 07 is better.im not getting the 07
06, it's road better. 07 just come out, also..
06 is a little better, the troop control is a wonderful thing. 05 graphics are more to my appetite, but overal 06 is better, all the elements of 05 plus troop control, except for the real enthusiasm cars, which was stupid
Nascar 06 totle squad control.
