What is the best mode of helmet to but for race cars thats SA Snell 95 rate or something?

if truth be told the SA 2005 for auto racing and K 2005 for karting are the hot standards. The safety standards are updated every 5 years. Naturally purchase the most modern rating possible, i would steer away from any older safekeeping ratings and of course never purchase used helmets! You can never know the history of one!
Depending on what type of race you will be doing (open-wheel, sportscars, karting, dirt track, etc.) I would STRONGLY recommend that you also get a HANS device or some similar leader and neck restraint. I never ever bring back on a track without one!
As far as brands jump, I prefer Arai helmets. But those fit my head the best. You should definately dance out and try on helemts and determine which one fits the best. You'll want it to be snug but not pinching anywhere. There's nothing worse than trying to drive a racecar next to a helmet that doesn't fit right or is uncomfortable.
One more hasty note, if you're race cars or karts stay away from any helmets rated M. Those are for motorcycles and will not protect you resourcefully enough surrounded by a car.
SA 2000 right very soon is the standard for racing helmets. I am a former inspector at a local dirt track.I saw alot of nation trying to bring M95 helmets, but I respect the fact that you know it's your principal. Take care of da noggin

are you still gonna be his hanger-on when he goes to toyota subsequent year with michael waltrip. most those don't want to see toyota come into nascar, of course it's already surrounded by the truck series. just won't be like with jap cars contained by there, besides DJ should retire soon along next to waltrip.
