Auto Racing Questions and Answers

To enter Formula one, is age 16 too unsettled of an age to start go-karting?

Question:I've noticed that seriously of Formula one drivers started go karting when they be like 6 years ancient, im wondering if i can start now.
Answers:

With the exception of Damon Hill (who started by race motorbikes and didn't get into motor racing until he be 14) most of the modern drivers were race karts before the age of 8. So, yes, you're for a time late for race single-seaters. Look at saloon coup¨¦ racing or hill-climbing as a channel into motorsport.
ya its way to slowly since your 16 you should be smoking crack and drinking beers, f1 racing is single for 6 year olds
It is probably too late to start if you enjoy high expectations nearly a F1 career around the age at which drivers resembling Alonso were succesful. Raikkonen started belatedly, raced only 23 times up to that time entering F1 and he has be the "nearly man" for some time now.
There are drivers that come into F1 late and be succesful, like Damon Hill (the most recent example). He started race in F1 at the age of 31. If you hold the skill, try to make yourself stand out within low-level formula racing or karting. Someone will see you and donate you a sponsorship. That's what you need to run higher, apart from huge skill.
If you're quick, it won't matter. Fast ample to get notice that is.
It's never too overdue. Go for it.
While it seems the majority of Formula One drivers started their race careers surrounded by karts at a very young at heart age, there is still time for a 16-year elderly to embark on a racing craft. You could skip karts and go directly to something close to Formula Ford or Formula 2000, both excellent places to learn the craft. Even near a karting background, drivers recurrently enroll in a race school to cram proper driving and racing technique - you won't learn how to heel-and-toe contained by karts and you'll need to know how to do that within the lower formulae.
However, to get adjectives the way to Formula One is a huge step and the probability are really stacked against you; there are thousands of populace all over the world surrounded by kart racing, but solely 22 F1 drivers (24 in 2008), plus a handful of question paper drivers.
If you want to race, start. Whatever the age. Don't draw from your hopes up for a brilliant career at the pinicle of motorsports, but at the cessation of the day, those guys are purely doing what they love, and there is no origin why you shouldn't try to get to that point too.
Its never too unsettled as long as you're really motivated to achieve your aspiration. Give it a shot!
i do think that it help to start racing something at a childlike age, to help develop the spatial awareness and proficiency to feel the track and whatnot... but if your obedient and you want it bad after why not! in reality, go karts are fun as hell, so even if you never draw from above racing super karts... those things are wayy faster than any production saloon on most curcuits. go for it.
hold you raced anything? .. valentino rossi is a moto gp (motorcycle) racer, and he just tested the ferrari vehicle for fun this year and was a partly second behind Schumacher's best time.
my point is that it doesnt enjoy to be go karts... its only the act of race something.
I guess talent and talent-development-wise, it's not too late, but adjectives the kids who are any good probably enjoy sponsors already by the time they are 16. That means it's relatively uncomplicated for them to keep going near their careers while picking up more lucrative sponsorships along the approach, all the style to the top (hopefully). You, on the other hand, will requirement to start from scratch, and unless you are freakishly promptly, not many will be interested contained by sponsoring you.
You see I am 17 & very much interested surrounded by F1. I think go-karting is the best place to start.
But due to my one Indian, I can't pursue it due to lack of nouns of racing within India. If you get a suitable answer please letters me at
aman_2213534(a)yahoo.com. I too want to pursue it.
yo wts up mate

Unless you are a wonder behind the reins of a cart, I would speak yes 16 is too late to start race Karts. You are getting to the age where you are a short time too old to be race carts and necessitate to start looking at Formula Ford, Formula 3000, or Formula Renault. Takuma Sato only started race in Junior Categories within 1998 when he was 21 years out-of-date. He will never be world champion but he get there. There is a arbitrariness that you would be able to enjoy a career contained by another category of motorsport, however Formula One takes lone the very best unless you are lucky and all right off. Just remember because you are starting overdue you will have to work harder than anybody else to bring back there. People really underestimate the amount of physical conditioning that go into producing an F1 driver.

But don't let that discourage you from karting. I own done a lot of Karting and it is imense fun. You will savour yourself either mode whether you make it or not.
You never know, it is in arrears for most people but if you're remarkably talented afterwards don't waste time, take the opportunity, you might make it!
If it doesn't work for you, don't ever assume your life is over...
Try it and wallow in it either process.

Which circuit be best for F1...Brands Hatch or Silverstone?

Answers:

BRANDS HATCH!!!

Absolutely no doubt! Brands Hatch offer a superb variety of up hill/down mound, corners, straights, in and out of trees compared to Silverstone which contained by my opinion is reasonably bland. Take a look at the F1 videos of the 70s and 80s or pop in the circuit yourself and then compare it to Silverstone - you'll see what I mingy!
Silverstone in my belief
Silverstone - access isn't great - but it has the biggest helicopter port contained by Europe. It has have loads of improvements - Brands hatch is a bit dated by comparison
Sliverstone all the track!
silverstone defo
each have their own attractions, and points that drivers like. Brands Hatch used to be the home of the Brit noble prix. From a personal point of view I have a sneaking suspicion that Silverstone/

However if they wanted to bring it stern to Brands Hatch, then they could do what they are going to do within Germany and run the Brit GP on alternate years. This would be very beneficial to the Brit GP and the two circuits would share the cost of keeping the GP within Britian and therefore thwart Bernie Ecclestone and maintain the GP coming to Britian in the adjectives.
Silverstone is pretty fast, so I enunciate it the best.
Silverstone, It is best known as the home of the British Grand Prix.
I'll swim against the tide here and voice Brands Hatch. I attended my first Grand Prix at the Kentish circuit and if I really concentrate, I can visualize those wonderfully-named corners: Paddock Hill Bend, Pilgrim Drop, Dingle Dell Corner and Clearways.
Hands up those who answered this question and own actually be to a Grand Prix at Brands.
I believe Silverstone, every pilot likes this circuit, remeber what Button said...
Francorchamps contained by Spa (Belgium)... Every racer says it's difficult and they adjectives love it! Win at Spa and you've shown what you can do!
Brands is my home so i would say Brands because the track have everything a driver can wish for the most challanging track within britian. Silverstone is quite boring but it is a huge track with more overtaking probability.
Silverstone has the best fascilities, but Brands Hatch have the best track and in my feelings thats what should be taken into account when choosing venue for grand prix, which one give the best racing. I reflect on Donington is the best track in the U.K. followed closely by Oulton Park.
i would enunciate silverstone but i neva sn f1 racin in brand hatch it would b pretty kl 2 c how their see down der..cos of the turns.....
Silverstone for sure the track is better suited for F1 with the the average knees speed being faster than brands hatch, F1's flat out is better race in my mind
Both are outstanding (especially when compared next to soulless places like the Hungaroring) but Silverstone have the edge when it comes to speed and complexity. I would love to see the services at Brands Hatch improved to the current Silverstone level (superb!) and the British Grand Prix alternate between the two circuits from year to year.
