performance chips are simply that they are set up to improve the timing and mixture of fuel and nouns for the internal combustion, won't do much for gas mileage, how ever to improve mileage i would suggest shifting your air intake system to something resembling K&N or Airaid to get more nouns into the engine which will help raise the mix and increase the air flow good on gas.
