Formula One is unmoving. Long live dodgy circuits?

Question:I've watched F1 for over a decade and it still excites and frustrates me but the tracks are getting predictable and poor.
Spa and Hockenheim hold been hideously curtailed, they've get rid of the beautiful Suzuka and Monza is purely memories of what's been 'chicaned' past its sell-by date.
Of the new tracks, Turkey have a bit of bite to it, but what for the future when the tracks will adjectives be Tilke designed and dull as ditchwater, AND you have to attain up at some evil time in the morning to own the pleasure to watch it.

Give me wager on my sport!

The main problem is that Bernie Ecclestone changed it from a sport into a business. Murray Walker's retirement didn't relief either (think in the region of it..), I like Brundle, but Murray can never be replaced!! People overlook what an effect this have on the atmosphere of watching a televised see. In fact Ayrton Senna would merely watch race back if they have Walker's commentary.
Suzuka will return on a bi-yeary basis, as it will share the Japanese GP next to Fuji with it's exceptionally long start finish straight, there will be some brave outbraking moves going on in that. I agree that Turkey is a great track, but that was Tilke designed, so he's get some decent accepted wisdom but he is hindered by lawyers and local regulations and have to put driver safety first. There are still some honourable tracks to look forward to this year, Sepang, Sakir, Magny-Cours, Nurburgring (turn 1), Hungaroring, Istanbul, Spa (still a feirce challenge for a driver), Fuji, Shanghai and Interlagos. A clothed old and alien mix. I think the most boring curcuit on the calender is also the oldest one contained by the sport, Silverstone. Apart from the complex, it has particularly little to offer- where do you overtake on a full throttle track, when slipstreaming give you no steering or brakes? So saying the unusual tracks are worse than old ones is a bit misguided. If it be up to me, I'd move the British GP to Rockingham, this might even happen after 2009 when Silverstone's strangle hold expires..
Anyway, it's great drivers formulate for great races, not the track, and the three drivers on the podium at Melbourne are some of the best ever. I believe that Raikkonen can eclipse M. Schumacer's achiements, he's the fastest man since Hakkinen. And near Alonso and Hamilton up at the sharp end of the grid it make for one of the most exciting times that I can remember in F1.
The sports car design is a big factor in the famine of racing exploit, the ideas that be branded around at the end of ending year for a split rear wing would engineer for much closer racing and really liven things up, but adjectives the teams own to agree to this and as always, it's Ferrari who are man difficult over this decision.
As for getting up within the small hours, Bernie has plans to hold floodlit race in the far east and Austrailia so the Europeans can see the races live within the afternoon. Personally I like staying up to survey them, it makes it more of an moment! But there's always highlights...
True, but at lowest it won't be as dull and boring with schumacher (m) gone!!!

Yippeeeeeeeee!

And bahrain turn 8 is pretty honourable.
as a fanatic i agree near you but to get some of the tracks subsidise and excitment we have to achieve rid of bernie ecclestone or at least clutch some of the power and strangle hold away.
I stopped watching . It is dead - I agree. But this is method sport does go. It is brass cow, squeezed until dry and then flogged to MacDonalds for dry loud burgers.
Good question.

The Tilke circuits are similar... slow first corner, mix of mid and slow corners.

I don't comprehend why there can't be more 6th gear challenge like Maggots' Esses at Silverstone. Sure they requirement a lot of runoff but if you build a circuit surrounded by the desert there's a lot of runoff.

Disagree roughly Spa, the new bit has some great corners and plenty of cliffside viewing areas for punters.
I agree! With adjectives the engine development freezing rules within place, and all the speed man taken out of F1, it seems so boring.
I yearning that we could design tracks- and make them as hurriedly, furious, and exciting as ever.
Having tighter tracks with chicanes would not be comparatively so bad if the tracks be wide satisfactory or just designed surrounded by such a way as to allow more endorsement.

The safety and handling issues of have a faster track have be largely diminshed by increases in safekeeping, tires and suspension.

Do F1 fans realize that at the moment Nascar races every year at Watkins Glen which used to be the home of the US GP for years.? If you can receive a 3500lb nascar racers around safely I should have a sneaking suspicion that that the F1 cars will do fine.
Spa, in my dreams, this is my see!
I agree with you. The problem is that the better circuits are unsafe and that is member of the thrill for we the fans and for the drivers. Tilker's tracks are mostly drab and dull and we necessitate Monza back as economically as Suzuka as Fuji really doesn't inspire me like Suzuka did. There is one and only 1 130r and Fuji just can't compete next to that. Imola is gone, Suzuka is gone, Spa is back but not as provoking as in it's former as is the case next to Nurburgring. If it wasn't for all of the money surrounded by Monaco, that would be ditched due to "safety issues". And by the means of access to "elephantemg83", The turn 8 you are referring to is in Turkey not Bahrain. It is a 4 quantity left hand turn.
Safety is the main source circuits have changed. Although I agree that we inevitability better designed tracks with longer straights, more unavailable curves, and more grade and elevation change; safety should other come first. Location is key for any track to thrive, and next to no good instigate land moved out and too much commercialism needed to keep any one interested surrounded by bringing their series there, the single options are what we see becoming our adjectives. Personally, I think it's a cop out to clear some perfectly commercialized track or throw contained by a chicane at an old one to fix the problem. This of late makes the race less interesting. If they own people who can hang on to the cars going as fast as they hold for the last five years, if faster in some cases, while more and more restrictions are applied; after why the hell can't they do that with sanctuary on the old tracks! Throwing contained by a chicane is so primitive and easily that it make Formula 1 ( the most technically advanced racing series contained by the world) look like a bunch of idiots. I can with the sole purpose hope that somehow it gets better.

Tifosi for Life, Ferrari Forever!
i dont muse your correct, each circuit on the calender have their own personal qualities. let build every circuit like spa shall we? sepang have awesome sweeping fast corners, bahrain have alot on over taking spots, montreal is fast beside slow chicanes, monaco is monaco, silverstone has hastily complex corners and history, magny cours has the estoril corner, indy have the banked corner, melbourne have the street circuit atmosphere, spa is balls, monza is incredibly nifty, brazil is anti clockwise and bumpy. each circuit is different so im not sure wat u want, u want every circuit to be similar to turkey? the circuits we have are the best nearby is.
It's because all the 'good' tracks are ripened and need money spending on them. New up and coming tracks are have money thrown at them by Governments and others with money (take Bahrain for example). Silverstone requirements money spent on it. Most of the new tracks are also designed by like peas in a pod guy - we need some modern life - as you would expect the tracks need to be nontoxic but they also need to brand name the race exciting. What's better than seeing cars overtaking respectively other? There are some tracks (far enough give or take a few Monaco but I think we can start out that one out) where near is hardly any overtaking opportunity. Breath life support into this sport and get some angelic tracks! PS Also a Shumi fan but, one British, I think Lewis Hamilton is going to be my man from in a minute on...
Your right but its like a bridal

once your in it its for better or for worse and at the moment the sport its 100% within the for worse area

shame but Schumi4eva! shame he finished ultimate season :(
i agree the circuits are becoming standardized but i think the bigger problem is the cars becoming standardized its supposed to be the pinnacle of technology however everything new and innovative get banned

remember the polite old days when some cars run v12s some v10s and some v8s all at one and the same time ?
wanna that's what made f1 great, that as well as frail historic circuits,
No!what's up with u ppl... u assume that now when ur schumi is gone...F1 is boring...no i don't feel like that...

it's still suitable!

f1 fan.
its adjectives about money, Bernie hold his money in super boring Hungaroring, so this track (very impossible shape and dirty) will not go away. Btw...Spa be closed for repairs and should be back surrounded by.
F1 is not dead, contained by fact I bet it's more profitable presently than ever. But that's just it, it's become primarily a business to some extent than a sport. Sadly, that's the case beside the most popular sports all over the world.

The attempt to slow the sport down by limiting the facility of the team to net a unique sports car is what hurts me the most. If Bernie has his path, every car will be indistinguishable inside and out. The essence of F1 is the "formula" of a winning troop. That includes engine, chassis, aero and drivers. If a team have a certain setup for their one and only car, next driver A might be a better fit over driver B. Apparently the new thinking is that a driver should be capable of jump into any coup¨¦ and have it be matching. What's the point of having manufacturer then? Have you ever notice that they refer to Nascars by their sponsor (ie. the Juicy Fruit no. 9). Most people probably don't even know what "brand" their favorite guy drives.

I chew over the tracks in F1 are fine for the most portion. Although, I do get tired of seeing 2-5 cars getting punted at the first turn where on earth gridlock is the only result possible. It make the fantastic standing start of F1 a nightmare for anyone not in the first 3 spots.

I agree, sanctuary is paramount. However, the worst injuries in F1 as of behind time were Ralf's wrecks at Indy. The one be obviously the result of poor research by Michelin. I saw Trulli turn end over run out 5 1/2 times into a gravel pit and he walked away unscathed.

They can be more creative within the ways they limit risk contained by the sport but the fact is the sponsors hold adjectives the cards. I don't think it will alteration until someone else takes over but I don't know if that will be a tuning for the better or not.
personally i muse f1 is crap as hell. im glad (m) shumacher has retired he be borin me by winning too much. i used 2 see it then it get so borin still is

Check out the site Kristina said, but then click the bit that say "English" lol. He has the first Ferrari f1 coup¨¦ he won championship within, and not a demo model either complete near engine. Guessing that Ferrari have also given him a disinterested few road cars, including an Enzo. Before F1 he was a Sauber driver (yes, duplicate one but doing Group C Sports cars), along with HH Frentzen & Karl Wendlinger, which be Mercedes powered so maybe have a few of them, and he enjoys motorcyling & karting. Hell let face it the guy can afford to buy anything he's compensated $26million + a year!
I cannot give you any concrete background but I saw a Ferrari documentary once.
He has 3 Ferrari road cars and one of them is the Enzo (no other makes)
Ross Brawn have 2
