Question:I want to get something special for a male-friend. Neither he nor I have a whole lot of money, but possibly I can find something cool out there for a couple hundred?

I'm a huge race fan too.
Some things I've asked for lately are mock-brakes coasters, and model cars (the thoughtful you build yourself, not the pre-made ones), or maybe even a gas-powered remote controlled motor.

Most cities should have similar stores - look for auto race, clothing or hobby stores. In worst case, there's bound to be an indoor budge kart track you could take him to ;)

Yeah got my husband an extreme experience, driving experience in race cars etc. Look on line at driving experience gifts, slightly a few to chose from.
For a couple of hundreds of $ you can find a beautiful screening of cars at Radio Shack. They have an awesome inspection of remote control cars of all kind, trucks, SUV, race cars, etc. You can even grasp him some accessories that come along near it for not much more. And believe me the whole point can cost you less consequently a $100.00
Or you can get him a Richard Petty Driving experience if you live essential the cities it's offered at. It's $149.99 plus tax, it's the best experience i enjoy ever had (or nearly that!) But it be awesome.

maybe more than you enjoy to spend but check into a ride around the track at one of the races. save fine a car of his favorite drive and return with collector's item.
buy him a dinner and have the dinner contained by the middle of the racing circuit... it would be romantic... keep him moving all dark long..
depends on if he likes a fussy racer or just race in broad. some times there are special see tickets available for nascar that have join and greet with the drivers.or an autograph piece of memorabilia from a driver

Try the "RACING EXPERIANCE".The company is based out of Kansas but runs 2 daylight packages at several tracks accross the country.I got to drive Talladega ultimate November.
This driving package be around $500.00 to drive 6 laps ( my speed be around 165-170 ).There are up to 5 other cars out on the track at the same time, you draft,elapse and go flat out.The cars use are adjectives former cup cars.
There is a 6 lap ride along i.e. available for around $125 that you ride with the instructor doing the driving.

Be sure to find out exactly what variety of racing he like (ie nascar vs formula 1) and what teams/drivers he likes. Then grasp him some used equipment from one of those teams. I enjoy encourgaed my wife to do that but she hasn't followed through.
Also, one of the racing school or experiences would be a once in a lifetime awesome experience for him.

F1 cars are much faster than MotoGP bikes. Watch the times on the circuits they have within common: the F1 cars are at least possible 20 seconds faster.
A MotoGP engine revs up to 11,000rpm. A F1 engine revs up to 20,000.
So F1 is faster and higher-revving than MotoGP.
It is not. I parsimonious, it can't be. A F1 motor is faster than a MotoGP one! Think logicall...
It's not, really. Moto Gp bikes accelerate as express as F1 cars, but they can't stop or turn as fast because motorcycles don't own any aerodynamic downforce sticking the tires to the track.
F1 cars actually bring back more horsepower per liter than Moto GP bikes do, but not by much.

The drivers seize NO money from the advertisements on their cars and apparel. The squad GETS the money. The driver gets the amount negotiate in their contract, no more and no smaller quantity.

usually they find one payment for their work... how regularly the advert gets repeated have nothing to do beside them... the company pays the media for that!
