Gearheads: Explain this?

Question:If a 3500 lb car have an engine with 250 Lb foot torque and 165 Horsepower, and another car, exactly duplicate, but had an engine beside 250 Lb feet torque too, but 250 Horsepower, what will arise if they raced each other surrounded by a 1/4 mi? (drivers same skill, standard trannys)
Answers:

Easy, the car beside 250 HP every time... HP & Torque are one & the same. HP is derived from the torque of an engine...
Power is a definition of the amount of work a given engine can do within a unit time. Work is the necessarily the torque output.
Hence the higher the HP the more work the engine can do per second - that work translates to propelling the coup¨¦ towards the finish line contained by a shorter time.
Having said that - there are profoundly of other factors to consider, most importantly nouns ratios - which will put that power to apt use... no use having a 10,000 rpm 250HP screamer near a three speed transmission...
However contained by this case beside 250 ftlbs, probably not a problem.
(The 250 HP engine in this scenario will rev superior than the 165 HP to get this power).
FYI a 250HP / 250 ftlbs sports car of that weight will accelllerate to 60 contained by about 5.5sec, do the 1/4 within about 13 secs & accomplish a top speed of around 167 mph providing it's not shaped like a brick! ;-)
1/4 mile would probably be JUST NOT ENUUFF to put together a difference...so probably a tie.
We're talking seriously soppy power here. Torque is low end grunt, while horsepower is high-ranking end shift. With these pathetic numbers, you'd be lucky to grasp into the HP band.
They would both loose and crease their gear head motors
Go out find the driver & put the see together and answer your own questions?????

How come Michael Schumacher finished surrounded by 9th position despite retiring surrounded by the Hungarian GP?

Answers:

I was wondering that afterwards I remembered that a race is classified as a see (if you follow me) when they have finished 75% of it. As Michael have completed more than that, he was classified as a finisher and get one point when he was bumped up to eighth.
On a similar information, we've had race which have be red flagged due to an accident. If they haven't finished 75% of the allocated distance, they start it again and supply the two times of each see together so effectively, it's in two parts.
He finished in that based on completed lap. He completed more than the 10th place finisher
Hi! I don't have the answer to that one. I a short time ago asked it myself.. On the formula1 website they have him surrounded by 8th position! No way!
He finishe 8th after Kubica be disqualified - What happened be that MS had lapped the guys who finished trailing him more than 3 laps !

What do you construe just about Jack trying to procure Mark to stay 1 more year?

Question:Do you think that's right? Tell me your thoughts on this.
Answers:

I reflect on Jack needs to stop asking. I suggest Mark and Jack have most important loyalty for each other....but Jack is going too far. Mark be looking forward to retiring, so was his nearest and dearest, but he agreed to stay another year for Jack. Now Jack is doing it again. I think, respectfully, he shouldn't hold asked. He needs to find someone else. He seem to have the opinion that he has to enjoy someone in the 6 saloon that is as angelic as Mark.he has to carry over that, find a driver and move on. Mark is in place to get out..putting something close to this on his head isn't right. I hope he say no this time.
2 points! yeah
I WISH I COULD QUIT YOU!
he need to stop and fleck needs to walk if he wants or stay but sort up there minds and stick to it.
His heart doesn't really appear to be into it this year. He wants to walk, and other drivers want rides. I think the Cat surrounded by the Hat oughta let Mark walk in peace, and retire while he's still get a good reputation.
i similar to it, mark martin is stil lone of the most consistant drivers within the business. he has to be a favorite to win almost every week. so progress ahead mark, 1 more year. after adjectives, if he does as he planned, run truck series and 12 cup races, he would run 1 more see than a full cup season, so why not earn a whole lot more money and trade name another run at a title
Don"t think alot in the order of it, actually haven't hear anything about it.
Mark Martin's be around forever and seems to do pretty capably, but he doesn't impress me much...
Maybe he's hopeing Mark will win the Championship. We'll see. Right?

The only motivation Roush has asked Mark to stay is becaue Kluever is untrained to race beside the big dogs. In the last few Busch race Kluever has finished 25th, not a upright place for a Rousch driver to be. I would like to see Mark provide it one more shot for a Championship, earlier moving to the Truck Series. But if Mark stays and runs in the Chase, it will be for the love of the see, and not for the money. I really don't think he is going to stay, since he have already announced that he will be running the Truck Series full time. And he is trying to put more of his focus on his son's racing.
That is a moment ago the way Jack does business, and to be precise what it is "business". Your a fool if you think Jack would manufacture a decision that not business driven. I intuitively hope this is Mark's last year. Mainly because I am tired of listen to the whiny old man. Anyone who say they should take the bank out of Talladega is too old to be out within.
He needs to stop asking Mark to come put a bet on.I mean, hand over Mark a chance to retire! He requirements to retire...hes too old!lol
i reflect jack needs to agree to mark sour the hook.
Mark has stated his intentions two years ago or more. In my evaluation, Jack is using and abusing Mark Martin at this point. If Kluever isn't primed for Cup, that's shouldn't turn into Mark's problem. Mark didn't even have to come backbone for the 2006 season, but he did.

I say permit Mark Martin move on over to the Truck Series where on earth his heart obviously is head. I think we will see a different driver in that he will be out in that for the fun of it without the pressures of Cup.
