Girl hot to motocross. Looking for the right size bike to ride beside the boys. HELP!!?

Question:I want to ride motocross. I am a slim girl about 5'7" and i dont know what quality of bike to even look for. There are numbers that describe the bike size. What do the numbers mean? I ride ATV's and I ride big horses and i can completely control both. I'm pretty sure i can control a bigger bike but I enjoy no idea what to look for. Can someone serve me with bike sizes or show me where on earth to look so i can learn nearly different bikes. i'm probably going to buy a new bike so please dont try to put up for sale me your bike. I dont want a bike that is lately for beginners because i learn prompt and i dont want to have to go it when i want to start competing. How much shoud I pay for a bike? Can I buy a foreign one or would it be better to buy a used bike? Are there any brands or models that are better? Any tips appreciated. Thanx! ; )

hey woman...this is going to be a long-winded answer! Great question by the approach! It is a very fine row for dirtbikes between getting one you can control and getting one that you will have to "grow into". Usually parents try to draw from their kids bikes that they will need to "grow into" to pick up some money and it usually is a huge disaster as the kids are less confident and don't own nearly as much fun.
Sounds like you are an mature so that really isn't a huge concern for you, but at the same time, confidence is switch and as cool as it is that you can ride horses and quads, dirt bikes are still a different story. It is a great idea for you to buy foreign as you do not have to verbs about some idiot's hideous maintenance diary!
I am also 5'7" and about average for size and weightiness and I ride a Yamaha YZ 125cc two stroke motorcycle.
OH, I digress - you asked for some help near "numbers"
Okay- this is how it works...The number that describes the bike denotes the engine size. After a certain point the number does not hold much to do with the physical size of a bike. Basically after 125 - the bikes are almost impossible to tell apart in distance from the ground - but very importantly for you specifically - not like peas in a pod in shipment. There are two types of engines used in motocross/dirt bikes: 2-stroke and 4-stroke. They difference between these two is contained by the engine. It has to do beside the amount of time the piston moves up and down with the combustion of gas/spar/air. A 2-stroke's piston moves up/down for one "burst" of combustion. The unused fuel and grease basically burn rotten and exit the muffler (silencer). A 4-stroke is just that: up/down/up/down. What that process as 4 strokes produce less oil/gas complete exhaust which is much cleaner for the environment. Because a 4-stroke has twice the "strokes" - they consider the diplacement to be partly. IE: a 125cc 2-stroke is equal to a 250cc 4-stroke. and so on...
There is a noise difference between these two types of engines as economically. 2-strokes are higher pitched and the nouns is in the arena of a chain-saw or other 2-stroke appliances. sorry- a chainsaw is not the best comparison, but it might give support to give you an perception. A 4-stroke is much lower sounding - kind of lthunderous.
4-strokes are louder on a decible go up but a little smaller quantity piercing to the ear.
Another major difference between these bikes is care. Because 2-strokes are much simpler engines, they are relatively easy to work on - even for a trainee. Besides having their grease changed ever 10-20 hours of riding, they need "top-end" work periodically - depending on the amount of use. "Top end" money the piston, piston rings and bearing obligation to be replaced about twice a year if you are riding pretty steady. This is pretty straightforward to do with the right tools and a instruction manual. Also it is really not very expensive. The worst bag scenario is that the engine seizes and you hold to either replace you top or bottom end- which surrounded by a 2-stroke is between $600-1500 depending on the damage.
This is in actual fact relatively cheap compared to the repair of a 4-stroke which can be $2000-$4000 to fix an engine. Because 4-strokes have much more complicated engines - they are not so greenhorn friendly. The valves requirement shimming a few times a year and also they need seriously frequent grease changes including current oil filter everytime-unless you get a metal mesh reusable filter.
Like I said faster - I ride a 2-stroke and I'll tell you the reason why - this might help you the most.
1. It is lighter than a 4-stroke
2. It is cheaper than a 4-stroke
3. I can fix it ALL BY MYSELF!
4. I can start it if I crash. (four strokes are not respectable for being really concrete to start if you stall or crash in a race-even the unmarked ones that are better than the old are strong to start-especially for a girl who is just tall-enough, who is tired form race, then crashing, after picking her bike up out of the mud she probably just crashed in)

4-strokes are a much more forgiving bike if you are surrounded by the wrong gear, the power is more available quicker - therefore they are easier to submerge and better at starts for some people.
Whether you dance 2 or 4-stroke, I think that a 125/250F (F stonds for 4-stroke) is going to be more than satisfactory bike for you. If you want to ride MX, I would not get a KDX! That is almost stricly a trail bike. Motocross bikes own stiffer suspension design specifically for tracks and racing!
Like I said - I ride a YZ 125 and I really resembling it. The power is very smooth. Suzuki RM's are really nice to ride and I find they really corner okay. The powerband is very noticable compared to the YZ! - but it is also dutiful to know when you are in the power-band (the spot when you are accelerate where your bike have the most pickup in that gear.)
Good Luck surrounded by MX and I hope that this helped!
try a 125 two stroke i perfer suzuki. at your size this will be plenty of bike . buy untried for sure don't get someone elses unwanted items.
I'm short so I have a 100cc Honda, so a 125cc would be ok for you. You should buy a motocross mag and check it out alot enjoy bike tests!!
if you racin MX procure a 125 kawasaki,if you trail riding buy a kdx200
im 5'7 and just bought a KDX200 and i love it

I want to increase power of my coup¨¦?

Question:i have honda civic dx 1998 and roughly $200 for tuning
Answers:

get rocket booster from Acme Mail Order catalog
honestly, theres really zilch worthwhile you can do with a stock civic and 200 dollars. you can travel the route of intake, exhaust, chip, intake manifold... but itll still be a 17 second 1/4 vehicle. If you want it to be really fast you requirement internal work (head, cams, etc.) or forced induction.

I would start with a perfect cold intake air system. Not a 29.95 ebay POS. Then build piece by piece, intake several, headers, exhaust, and eventually cams, head.

Basically, to clear a stock civic DX anything fast you obligation lots of money. I would just preserve it stock how its meant to be, a pious reliable economy saloon.

Dont listen to idiot boy racers who claim they get adjectives this extra HP with a K&N filter and a fart can muffler...
acquire out and push
come on $200 that's not even gonna get you 2 extra hp not to discourage you though psyche save until i get about $2000 and cold nouns intake get a polished interior aluminum piping exhaust system full 3 inch and afterwards venom chip and finally pick up for a turbo and boost controller
You need roughly $500 dollars to make your sports car faster.
When you able to do this, you want to generate sure you change your mods.
I would forget just about tuning it, just gain a SI
increase your budget.

Damon Hills Helmet?!?

Question:Did Damon Hill have the Scottish Flag on his helmet?
Answers:

Nope. Youre thinking of David Caulthard.

Damon have eight white oar-blades on a dark blue environment, same as his dad.
No it was alike design as his dad and it was taken from the rowing club he rowed for
That sounds rather painful to me!
No,

It be a dark blue helmet beside white lines coming dow near the top.

Look: http://helmetpainting.info/hill_rothmans...

It be similar to his father, Graham's helmet which was indistinguishable design but on a black background
Damon Hill's helmet have the rowing club design. However, he was NOT a contestant of the rowing club, as his father was. He single asked the club if he can use the design.
Damon copied his father's helmet design, two time WDC Graham Hill. That itself was from Graham's rowing club.
It be a logo for the London Rowing Club, it was base off of his dad's helmet.
answer is no
