Which is superior: a 1600cc turbo 150 bhp engine, or a 2000cc smoothly aspirated 150 bhp engine?

In jargon of pure performance, lacking taking into consideration fuel consumption figures and so on, the 2 litre intrinsically aspirated engine would be the best.
There are two reasons for this. One: the added litric dimensions means a greater torque figure. Two: Since the engine hasn't get a turbocharger, it means that you'll attain better throttle response (because there is no turbo wad --> turbos run on exhaust gasses and take some time to spool up).
You did not, however specify your type of interest towards what you are looking for: recital or daily driving --> so the choice is up to you.
It depends purely on what you are looking for. The 1.6L will go and get better fuel economy but will suffer contained by throttle response due to turbo lag concerns and torque will be lower than the 2.0L, the other dis-advantage is dependability tend to be lower in turbo engines. The 2.0L will enjoy better low end grunt, (higher torque output) and since at hand is no turbo, no turbo lag, fuel cutback will be close to the 1.6L and dependability will be better than the turbo engine.
I would pick the 2L, because the potential for even MORE H/P is there next to the addition of a turbo or supercharger.

Question:A motorcycle dealer has one 2006 Kawasaki KLR650 left. The 2007's will be arriving soon. The list price on the 2006 bike is $5,199 the same as the MSRP for the 2007 model. What should my initial offer be for the 2006 bike, and what is the most I should pay?

You will lose your asss on a klr650 no matter what you pay for it.but, if it is brand new, and you come out of the dealership having payed anything less than msrp it wasn't a bad deal.keep in mind that mark up on a bike is only 12-15%, and not much back end money on a klr650. You might not be able to actually pull the left-over trick until 2007, even if the 2007 bikes are out...some dealers are just wierd like that.but I would offer up something like $4200 plus tax and fees, or $4500 out the door...somewhere in there.KLRs aren't superfast movers as new bikes...and again.your resale will suck..but I have had two and man they are fun.good luck
