Pete Rose or the Steroid Issue contained by Baseball. Which do you suppose have done the most trash to MLB?
Question:Pete Rose: Back in the 1980's, Pete Rose agreed to a unbreakable ineligibility from baseball amidst accusations that he gamble on baseball games while playing for and managing the Reds; some accusations claimed that he bet on, and even against, the Reds.
Steroid verbal abuse in MLB: Baseball players and owners own put in place a tougher policy against performance-enhancing drugs following increased attention created by a federal majestic jury investigation into illegal steroid distribution.
Answers:
Great press.I would have to utter steroids though. The use of "performance-enhancing" drugs does cause alot of skepticism surrounded by record holdings and player stats. It have created chaos across the boards. What Pete did be wrong but I think the guy deserves a break after adjectives these years. It really is a shame they will not put him in Cooperstown...he be an awesome player/manager.
Steroid issue because of Bonds and his homers. He will break the record within the next 2 weeks and everyone will blame it on the drugs.
Steroids..Rose did little, if anything to tarnish the activity, but steroids are threatening to destroy the history of the hobby ie...Barry Bonds
Performance enhancing drugs in broad. Pete Rose is just one guy. Drugs are a systemic problem
Pete Rose betting on his own squad while he was the bureaucrat. He could control the outcome of games that he wagered on. It does not bring any worse than that.
Steroids is self inflicting.
Steriods
Steroids. Rose only hurt himself.
history lesson: Pete Rose bet on adjectives the Reds games...and he picked them to win EACH AND EVERY TIME...so he didn't impact the game. He simply hurt himself.
The steroids issues has explanation all fan to doubt everyone's homers. If anyone hits a lot of HRs, they are doubted.
STEROIDS are the bigger issue...slickly.
Steroids in baseball stopped me from ever attending another hobby.
The higher ups at MLB KNEW roughly speaking Palmiero's positive test, and said zilch because he was approaching a diary.
Bonds will break Aaron's HR record, but shouldn't even be playing due to his alleged Steroid use.
The certainty that MLB consistently turns a blind eye towards steroids and the damage they enjoy done to the game guarantees that this interval in baseball history will forever be sullied as the Steroid years.
Sosa + McGuire saved baseball near the HR chase after the strike- it finally bought the eyeballs back to the parks.
But in a minute, it seems they know about those guys as okay.
Bud Selig has done far more despoil than Pete Rose ever did.
By far the steroid issue is worse and has done the most sprain to MLB. Everyone I know thinks Rose should be contained by the Hall of Fame and what he did was not that impossible, it was wrong but not that bleak. Steroids have ruined a great deal of people statue of the game and it is more or less to ruin a great record. I ruminate that MLB is hiding a positive test by Bonds out of misgivings of the outrage it would cause if it become public. Steroids are a major black eye for MLB because it have tainted the numbers and MLB have been so sluggish in making he rules tougher and fought against harsher punishments. I ponder steroids are forever going to taint the HR numbers and how population look at anyone who is having a great work and has a giant number of HRs.
Rose betting for sure. He is no longer an issue as far as baseball is concerned. Bud Selig has hermetically sealed that man's fate as far as the lobby is concerned. What Pete did was intolerable to the game of baseball.
Guys that use steroid are suspended but they can still play the game.
At this point I'd speak it's the steroids, because it has soiled the game. Anytime a player does anything great presently, there's the immediate cross-question of whether or not they're using illegal substances. When Ryan Howard won the home run title ending season, there be several national columns wondering about whether he used steroids, and impossible to tell apart issue comes up all the time on message boards and baseball forums. It's difficult for a player in a minute to do anything without one questioned or doubted. And while Rose be the only high-profile bettor at the time, everyone know that there are plentifully of juicers.
What Rose did be horrible, and he deserves the lifetime ban. The difference is that baseball didn't become infected beside gamblers, and Rose's actions didn't mete out everyone to question the outcome of those games.
Finally, at hand was a sense of closure to the Rose issue when Giamatti come down firmly and banned him. That same closure doesn't exist next to the steroids issue, because baseball has be so weak when it comes to lay down punishments. It took them several years to even agree to tests, and they dragged their foot on instituting something that even comes close to the level of scrutiny used by the Olympics for their trialling.
Steroid use has done the most break. It tells upcoming athletes that's its OK to enhance your conduct illegally and not the unconscious way. They take paid millions and millions to pretend play. Its no fun when you know a drug is to blame for there great home run transcript or longevity.
Shame really!!
The steroid issue has tarnished the team game far worse than Pete Rose could ever tarnish it. Steroids have proven to be more global than Pete's gambling issues. By the method, Pete never bet against the Reds.always for them.
I be aware of that the Steroids abuse is worst consequently Betting on Baseball. The Steroids Help you play better, so, that is not fare. Any documentation broken by players that have be, or is using Steroids, SHOULD not stand. Back when the records where on earth made, it was the player who did that, not a player on Steroids. So, Barry Bonds, and Mark Mc. they should not own the records.
Thank You
P.S. I be aware of this way for ALL Sports
Steroids. Hands down. A lot of the younger equals, unless they are serious students of the game, don't even know who Charlie Hustle is (sad). Steroids enjoy irreparable harmed the game, and one can individual hope baseball can move on from this.
Are you kid? Rose by far. He could fix games in some ways as the manger. He is prohibited from the game forever and rightfully so.
As for steroids surrounded by MLB the punishment is still soft.
Your 1st offense is a slap on the hand.
Your 2nd offense is a 30 daytime suspension.
Your 3rd offense is a 60 day suspension.
Your 4th offense is a 1 year suspension.
Even after getting busted 4 times you can still play the winter sport.
I REST MY CASE!!
I'd say neither have actually dog-eared the game contained by reality. The Black Sox almost sink the game previously it got going, which the merely thing to do since be the strikes. But as far as tarnishing the image, I'd speak roids simply b/c now whether you are ok near roids or against it, the argument still comes down to that you can't trust ANY player now, i.e. the adjectives sport suffers, whereas w/ Rose though he is a low life and a rascal and deserves his ban, the individual image that be hurt was his own. Especially since Bart be so tough on Rose, unlike Selig is being w/ roids.
Oh, and for the narrative, Rose originally said he never bet, then said he did but never on a Reds spectator sport, then that he did bet on Reds games, but never that they'd lose, so I don't believe we've hear the whole truth in recent times yet. But currently I believe the story go he only bet on them when he bet on them to win, but also didn't bet every hours of darkness, thus effectively telling bookies not to grant good likelihood on the Reds on nights Pete didn't bet on the Reds.
steroids I put it approaching this baseball is barry bond's job and he's cheating on his undertaking it's just like for any other job close to taking photos or anything if you say that you've taken them but you have'nt.
Rose...
ROSE ROSE ROSE! That man is baseball's biggest disappointment ever. He simply dishonored himself and the activity of baseball.
They don't ban society over accusations. There be proof and Pete was busted red hand.
People have be using steroids for years and no one complained until immediately. Give a break.
If baseball was so gung-ho against the use of steroids next they would ban any player that tested positive instead of giving you "4" suspensions. HA! what a prank.
steroid issue for sure
Steroids by a mile... and since all of the steroid users will eventually seize into the hall so should Pete.
Apparently neither as attendence and zeal for the game verbs. If the fans and adjectives other onlookers of this professional sport support it consequently it will continue to shift on and on and on. Until support for this is withdrawn it will continue.
Pete Rose lone hurt himself not baseball or the image of baseball and should be within the Hall of Fame. In fact him not individual in the Hall of Fame is a bigger blight on baseball than he ever will be.
The steroid issue is far worse for baseball, more far reaching and surrounded by fact winter sport altering.
Neither. I think the unequal revenue structure of the team game is destroying the game. Because my Kansas City royals can not affort even 1 top of the splash pitcher, and we continue to lose our "johnny Dameon's" to other team, I consider MLB baseball to be in alike league as professional wrestling and I have quit attending games.
idiots and rule pushers will other be around. The fact that the playing pen is not level will eventually verbs the game..
The steroids issue have had more impact because it have involved more players. Had players, in tally to Rose, bet on baseball, then it may own had a much great impact than steroids. Betting make everyone question the outcome of every team game. Betting could cause significant doubts roughly whether players are actually playing to win.
BTW, the certainty that Rose claims he always bet on the Reds to win make no difference. Every contract he signed had a clause and every clubhouse have a sign about not betting on baseball. Rose bet knowing that he be breaking the rules.
Niether, Bonds will hit 55 this year and shut everybody up the only entity people safekeeping about within the Pete Rose deal is how come he isnt within the hall of reputation with adjectives the best players in history.
Baseball other has something that threatens to tarnish the team game because at the end of the afternoon the game is see through the eyes of the media whos sole living is to make things look as unpromising as possible.
Steroids, greenies, gambling, combat, drugs, baseballs wound tighter, ballparks smaller, pitchings diluted. the media builds everything up merely to tear it down.
There is nil wrong with baseball and here never will be, unless some mad scientist builds a robot that can hit a orb 9000 feet and pass him off as Mark Mcgwire Jr.
Personally, I judge it's the over-inflated salaries.
Families beside kids only hold so much disposible income, and it costs like $200. to bring mom, dad, and 2 kids to a ballgame--if not more! Then you hear players complaining something like thier pay or demanding outrageous salary. It makes you not even want to run to a game.
If they can take their organizations to remuneration them millions, they shoud go and win what they can. But...they also shouldn't be surprised when the fans stop paying them attention or going to games.
STERIODS DEFINATELY SO WE CAN FIND OUT WHO IS GUILTY AND WHO IS NOT
GO BARRY

Bottom Line: Rose as a player should be within the Hall. He did not have the issues as a player. How can Charlie Hustle not be surrounded by the Hall. It's complete BS. The betting took place as Manager---not a player! So he's a jackass for lying and telling stories. We pass judgment hall of eminence major league baseball players by what they do on the enclosed space, and how they conduct theirselves during the playing years if there be reason to grill eligibility.
Steroids took a huge toll, but baseball and its rule makers own no-one to blame but themselves. They knew of it contained by the early 80's and chose to turn their respective head. the problem only grew, and presently look... They blame Barry. Everyone forgets Barry was great within Pittsburgh. They called him the hot and improved newspaper of Willie Mays, bigger, faster, and stronger. They never thought he'd chase Hank. The baseball gods are pissed, and they will do everything to push the blame on a small group of roiders...
pete rose and drugs are constituent of baseballs history, if you look back, pitchers used spitballs! used vaseline, players took Uppers(form of speed) to enhance themselves, pitchers hold always be busted on doctoring the ball, i quality Pete should be in the vestibule of fame! he never bet againest his troop EVER.. where u read to be precise bogus. as for steroid use, its probably been rampant for 10 plus years, Barry Bonds, contrary to bigots and racist has never admit use, never been proven and soak up him while we still have him! goodluck and great press
I n baseball what is the formula to figure a pitchers earn run average?
Answers:
ERA= (earned runs times 9) divided by innings pitched
ERA=Multiply the total # of earned runs by 9 and divide the result by the total innings pitched.
ERx9/IP=ERA
You purloin the number of earned runs multiply by 9 and divide by the number of games pitched.
Do you believe Ken Griffey Jr.'s recent decline is due to steroid use?
Question:In one of my fantasy baseball league, another manager suggested that Griffey is as plausible a suspect as Bonds given his sharp decline once he arrived in Cincy. However, I one-sidedly believe that though his numbers dropped significantly, that alone is not indicative of steroid abuse. The most probable suspects all bulked up significantly within a very short amount of time. And this largely occurred behind time in their career. Griff has other been lean and spent extended stints on the DL, something HGH users own avoided thanks to that hormone's qualifications to help players bounce rear from injury.
Basically, though I recognize Griffey come up in an era over which we immediately see a dark cloud of 'roid suspicion looming, I cannot adopt that his late craft decline is due to steroids alone. And I just looked-for to know what others thought...
Answers:
In this era, you can't really put it past anyone, but I snub to believe that about Griffey. His decline is essentially due to the fact that every year since 1998, he's be injured for a signifigant amount of time. When you have injuries to your legs, it affects your bat, especially your power, because your legs give you the go together and strength to hit the ball out.
his injuries since returning to his hometown own been the authentic cause. Plus, he's be doing well this year.
Aging and injuries own taken their toll
As a cynic, I can't completely ignore the theory. However, if Griffey had be juicing, wouldn't he have NOT gotten hurt so much? I hear adjectives the time that the drugs can help prevent injury and speed up recovery. The other option could be that he did use them surrounded by the past, consequently realized the danger of it and stopped? Taking roids and then stopping could explain the tons of injuries. Why would he suddenly stop at the prime of his occupation in that overnight case? If he risked diminishing a giant career for the sake of his own personal in good health being, later good for him. This is adjectives "what if" stuff of course, some interesting speculation. Sadly, I imagine the truth is that he is one of those unlucky athletes like Grant Hill. A great superstar that not often plays, although he did have some awesome years contained by Seattle.
no. just assume of what this guy would've accomplished have he been competent to stay healthy. prolly never should've departed the mariners
no he had bleak luck with injuries.
When a player does great he is accuse of steroid use, and now an idiot resembling you is going to start accusing aging, declining players of steroid use. Your mother must enjoy used drugs when she was pregnant near you because you came out beside issues.
No friggin way. He's 2 outta shape 2 ever rob anything. And since he was ailing, he got injured.
There's ur decline.
No. Simply put, if he is indecline it will be due to the reality that he is getting OLD! Period. Also, if Griff was using HGH, don't you focus he would have be hurt less?
