Why is a first basemans glove different?

It's made to help the 1B serving spoon balls surrounded by the dirt. I played for 15+ years, and I can tell you that it really be easier to scoop beside that glove than a standard fielder's glove.
So they can scoop unpromising throws in the dirt. That's why the webbing is bigger.
They're heavily pad because the basemen spend their days catching balls thrown extremely hard. They're longer to minister to them field ball.

Yes. Three (or 4) times.
On April 23, 1967, Ken Johnson of the Houston Colt .45s lost 1-0 to St. Louis despite pitching a no-hitter. Only allowing 2 walks within the game, an error contained by the top of the 9th lead to the games single run, his team couldn't mark for him in the bottom of the 9th. This is the one and only time a pitcher has lost within a 9 inning no hitter.
On July 1st, 1990, Andy Hawkins of the Yankees lost 4-0 to the White Sox. He went 8 no-hit innings, but 5 walk and 3 errors behind him cost him.
On April 12, 1992, Matt Young of the Boston Red Sox lost 2-1 to the Cleveland Indians. He no hit the tribe, but walk 7 batters and an error aft him cost him the victory.
The fourth is a combined no hitter, on April 30, 1967, Steve Barber (8.2ip) and Stu Miller (0.1ip) of Baltimore combined to no hit the Detroit Tigers, but manage to lose the game 2-1 on the strength of 10 walk by Barber and two errors behind him
Its worth note that the first counts as an official no hitter, but within the case of Young and Hawkins, they single went 8 innings, and not the 9 required for an officeholder no hitter. The combined no hitter counts as well.

Actually yes it has happen! Twice. On April 23 1964 and July 1 1990. And it still counts as a no hitter even though the pitcher got the loss. They did devolution the rule though so that the pitcher had to progress a full 9 innings and in one casing he did because he was the visit team and the home troop actually didnt enjoy to bat in the 9th.
yes matt young at heart did it for the boston red sox in the unpaid 80's or early 90's. hold in mind its not if truth be told a no-hitter you have to win the winter sport to earn that credit, but the other team score more runs do to walks and errors, a no hitter is not a impeccable game
I believe Sterling Hitchcock be the last one to throw a no hitter and lose. A couple of batter reached on errors and walk. I think he lost close to 4-0 against Cleveland in the precipitate to mid 90's.

You got the straight dope from Mekounk. Ken Johnson is the lone one that went a 9-inning complete spectator sport and lost. It also (1967) is the only year the troop was agreed as the Colt 45's.
There have be a couple that went 10-innings and the pitcher lost and even Harvey Haddix pitched 12 spotless innings only to lose within the 13th.

I live here and I love the Cardinals but, with that said I do not see them triumphant again. We are missing too many knob players and our pitching needs relieve. The owners tell us that they are "saving" their money to seize us some pitching later contained by the year. We will see they like to say aloud things and then not deliver. Either passageway the fans here are intensely excited to have the boys home and wow what an space day! It is give or take a few time that we had one on a weekend so the adjectives town could celebrate. I see them making the playoffs and getting knock out there.

No. I have an idea that if you really look at the teams contained by the NL Central, the best of the bunch -- and most likely division winner -- is actually the Pirates. Having said that, the troop that wins the Central will own just as much destiny of winning the World Series as any other squad. Baseball is like that -- the better troop just doesn't win that regularly, especially in the postseason. Once you go and get to the playoffs, it's anyone's game.
Maybe not the world series (although i hope they do), but they will probably win the NLCS resembling they do almost EVERY year. GO CARDS!!!!!!

Dude up in that is WRONG!
So many things could be wrong.
One, look at your fingers. Are your first set of knuckles wrinkled up, the ones you knock with?
Two, that will rob the bat out of your palms and place it into your fingers, which will make your hand more relaxed and quicker. Also, the guy up there is right within that your muscle memory is not trained to fire that way nonetheless. Takes hours of practice.
Three, your back elbow, is it up? If not, fitting. If so, let your elbows point comfortably to the ground so your arms look resembling a "V" upside down of course.
Four, keep hold of your front shoulder in, that will be a big tuning to make.
Five, appropriate your hands to the bubble, let the knob of the bat organize and throw your hands at the globe.
Six, let your come first and eyes track the ball from your front shoulder to your final shoulder. Call it hitting from shoulder to shoulder.
