Who's pissed at Roger Clemens?
Question:I thought he went to Houston because he considered necessary to spend his last season with his home town and retire in attendance. what a bunch of crock, he's just a money hungry monster who wants it adjectives for himself.
Answers:
i agree...he does not care in the order of baseball...all he care about is who is going to hand over him the most money..also the yankees got a old-fashioned washed up pitcher....
Who's not pissed at Roger Clemens? A Yankee lover such as myself.
I forget who said it, but someone said The Rocket would follow Pettite :)
Yeah, The Yankees do have a sorry pitching staff (I will be the first to own it) but ultimately it's Roger's choice and pointless for us to debate 2 days after the fact.
The Yankees are going to stipulation a lot more than Clemens to amass their sorryass season.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO REDDDDDDDDDDDD SOX!
Wrong it is always give or take a few $$$$!
I agree. If he wanted to walk somewhere else besides Houston or Arlington, he should have go to Boston where he started and retire here. They probably would have retired his number after adjectives the great seasons he have there.
are you a red sox devotee? or houston? ha! ha! i love it! roger back within new york! presently we have the horses tp detain boston and win world series! ha! ha! sorry about!! your luck!!
Clemens will be the biggest non-factor surrounded by history this year.
The bottom line is like peas in a pod as it always will be, THE ALMIGHTY BUCK.
That's ridiculous and thoroughly narrow minded of you to chew over that.
Because he want to win, he's a money hungry beast?
What do you do? If your boss come to you and said, "we'll triple your income and make your opening easier to do." - wouldn't you take the contribute?
Ahh, I'm not pissed at the "Rocket" but I don't give a rat's a*s where on earth he plays, his best and brightest days are behind him. Love to see anyone get hold of there foot in Uncle Georges wallet..
ably i am a red sox fan and i am not pissed...i be determined if that is where on earth he wants to be and yankees are prepared to pay...later whatever..i cogitate its just arresting that he can get this loving of money at his age or for less than a full season..craving i had that loving of power!
He's just a gun for hire who go to the highest bidder.
I hope the dated turd gets shelled by the protest.
Rumor is that he takes HGH.
I am not pissed. I give attention to it's great that he has signed near the Yankees, so they can add him to the schedule of over the hill million dollar pitching busts. It will bring in them failing this year even better when he joins the rest of the troop on the DL.
I think him and Petite hold something going on..but as long as they both get my Yankees win I dont care what they do!
I imagine its so funny that Yankees fans conjecture that a 44 year old guy who have pitched the last 3 season in the National League, who is singular going to pitch for half a season, is going to recover their sorry a**es. What a joke!
not me
Can you really blame Clemens for taking the money? I assume we would all get at that kind of bread? Instead, we should probably be pissed at Steinbrenner who continues to perpetuate these insane salary of ballplayers, which then procure passed on to the fans (a $5 hot dog anyone?). There is no call for to pay someone that benign of money for playing a game, especially at the ending of their career..
It is pretty funny. He even have his agents meet near the Red Sox this week to get more money out of New York. I hope the extra 8 million is worth tarnishing a entry of fame trade, if he was smart he would enjoy continued to feast on N.L batter. Instead he chose to get lit up surrounded by the A.L and take a few more bucks. The ultimate time he pitched in the A.L 4 years ago his E.R.A be 3.91..ya 4 years ago, good luck near that.
exactly....which is why hes pissed off fan all over..
Boston and Toronto both loathe him..while New York will just tolerate him at best....
is Roger Clemens the AntiChrist?
check this out if youre a big baseball follower

I've get 4.5 million reasons per month he chose the Dark Side! Don't be silly at the Rocket, it's Georgey Boy's desperation in May.
If someone be going to pay me 28 million this year for 4 I don`t know 5 months of work, id do it
the problem next to Clemens is he is old, he individual averaged 6 innings of work per start last year (113 innings/19 games started), will he be better or worse this year, time will give an account
Boo Hoo. Baseball is a business. Face it. McLane couldn't pony up the dough that Steinbrenner could so Clemens is back contained by the Bronx. Not that he could help the ill-fated 'stros anyway.
It's all going on for the money, honey!!
Who finds it annoying that most team draw from a hours of daylight rotten after the 1st team game approaching me?
Question:it seems resembling it takes forever to attain the season going
Answers:
i hate it!im a met devotee so i know how it feels
i do i believe its stupid!!
I do, but its necessary because if the activity gets rain out then initial day would be rescheduled.
I have an idea that it is a bunch of crap. I mean if they are doing because they are terrified of a rain out next why don't ALL teams own the day sour, just within case. Not individual that, there are profoundly of teams that own another day bad coming up I believe on Monday. The season has simply started and already teams will enjoy had 2 days stale, that is crazy.
Me, too. I'm still buzzed from the Royals home starter. I drank too many beers. I can't skulk to go tomorrow dark! Go Royals! We are gonna sweep the Red Sox!
Yup, I think if they must enjoy a break, then they should do it after the first series of the season.
Yea i acquire so excited for the season, then i own to wait sometime after the first game!
I do. People keep on forever for the season to start then they enjoy to wait a different day after the first team game. I'm sick of waiting!
Just what would you do if Opening Day was rain out? That's why most teams enjoy that off hours of daylight. That's why most teams own ALWAYS had that bad day.
it to calendar for rain duh
OMG that annoys me too!!!

Is Bob Gibson the greatest pitcher ever?
Answers:
Career ERA of 2.91, probably the greatest year of any pitcher, 1968... 22 wins, 268k, 305 innings pitched, 38 earn runs all year. Led the league contained by ERA, K's, MVP in 1968, and Gold Glove vanquisher. WOW.
This creates a serious arguement, but others like Nolan, Roger Clemens, Tom Seaver Sandy Kofax... The enumerate goes on. He be great.
no! but he was a obedient one! he could pitch well today! i consider he still has narrative for lowest era in a season of 1.12!
When they appendage out the "Bob Gibson Award" to the best pitcher for that year, he will be considered the greatest.
I don't think nearby ever was a more intimidating party to step on the mound and he had the roast to go along next to the stare. Right up there next to the very best
its up to debate. koufax wasnt to shabby. drysdale and clemens are/were most intimidating. ryan near all those strikeouts and no hitters while playing for some crummy team. in the deadball era (mathewson, immature, alexander), there are alot of players next to good numbers and thats because the hitters werent as virtuous as today. and then at hand is steve carlton who won something like 25 games for a squad that won only 59 games surrounded by the 1970's.
Most baseball purists regard him as one of the greats, however, within the modern baseball era many consider Nolan Ryan the best because of his trade records within strikeouts(5,714) and no-hitters (7) and one-hitters (12). His win loss record (324-292) is what most detractors point to although he played most of his trade on marginal teams. Consensus is Sandy Koufax near a lifetime ERA of 2.76 and World Series ERA of .95.
I would rank him contained by the top 5 as greatest competitors and greatest big game pitchers.
I don't know if he's the best ever, but I sure know I wouldn't want to frontage him! I read David Halberstam's book "October 1964" a couple years ago and it gave me a unsullied appreciation for Gibson. (I was born surrounded by 1973, so I didn't get to see or experience his play myself.) He have to be one of the greatest competitors of all time. His intensity reminds me of Michael Jordan or Tiger Woods...although Gibson seem to have a even more of a indicate streak to him.
Gibson was a great pitcher, probably, and is a HOFer because of those amazing seasons. However ancestors like Cy Young, Nolan Ryan, and yes, even Clemens, will be considered highly developed on the list because of the amount of godlike numbers they put up. No one will ever bring back 7 No No's anymore with most pitchers throwing an average of 1 CG every year. Same beside Cy Young's Win record, due to the number of pitchers contained by a rotation. Ryan also has accounts in strike outs, etc. and he will other be one of the best.
Gibson definitely deserves acceptance though.
Nope
For one game... You'd probably be okay aphorism that is the guy you'd want out nearby. You could also make the covering for Koufax or Clemens. For a career though, I'd speak he is in the top 10... With Cy Young, W. Johnson, C. Matthewson, Clemens, Maddux, G. Alexander, N. Ryan, S. Koufax, and Carlton (or Seaver)... Not contained by any order...
