Yes, they will sweep the Yanks but... John Maine is NOT the Mets best pitcher! Pedro Martinez is (well he's on the DL but when he comes wager on he'll be their best pitcher). But as of the second I would have to speak that Tom Glavine is there best pitcher! And as for the Yanks let's only say that they better hope that Clemens dosen't win his leg broken like Karstens did!

As a met follower I would love to say yes. But Maine can glibly walk the globe park, and the yanks, when going in good health have a great OBP. Yesterday, the Yanks come close to getting to Wagner and the Mets have have issues in times gone by with pitchers they hold never seen.
It can run either route.

I do understand that the Yanks hold Roger Clemens but he will only pitch once or mabey twice a week (unless he get's injured), so that will individual solve there pitching problems for those one or two days a week. And subsequent, A-Rod will have to boil up sometime from now because he's be slumping so they will need him to preserve some more homers!

It's really early contained by the season so you really can't be too worried right now. They are a short time ago in hysterics mode because they're not used to hurting similar to this. When they get Clemens rear legs and he wins a couple for them I meditate that will give them a genuine morale boost and then they'll be fine.
I assume it will at some point. The pitching staff has be their achilles heel so far. I think that when Clemens returns it will tender them a shot in the arm and they will run sour a winning streak. And you own to know the front office will not sit backbone and watch this verbs for much longer. But I think that no business what they do at this point they wont win the East. I think that the Yankees are paying for adjectives the trades that they have made over the final 5-10 years for the veterans that they got to brand the playoffs and this may just be the origination of a streak of 3-5 years where they will own to rebuild their system rear to where it be in the rash 90's

I don't thoroughness about NYY or Boston so I will pass a biased opinion.
Yankee fan keep truism "we have be behind past and came back"---No-you hold not been this far down (10.5 games) in May next to this bad of pitching and this perfect of a Boston team within front of you. You guys seem to forget that you other had arms--that's over. You have chemistry--that's over. And as far as Clemens-this guy had ERA's surrounded by the mid 4's in New York. he go to the NL-dropped it down. When Yankees team is riding on the morale of a 45 year antiquated -all about me pitcher who doesn't even want to be beside these guys unless he's pitching that day--ego maniac--the slump has singular begun. Lets see Clemens throw that warmth by Vlad,Travis,Ortiz,Manny,Thome(... his butt),Sheffield,Ordonez,Dye--C... will give NYY 6 IP per start--give up 3-4 runs--leave the hobby,leave town and permit that bullpen suffer some more. Yankees slump will end contained by about 2 years when those youthful arms are ready (If Brian Cashman doesn't trade them adjectives away for over the hill players). Sucks if it stings--but this is adjectives fact. Don't pass a damn if Yankee fans resembling it or not.

And as for Shawn G's answer, I agree next to everything he said about Clemens, but 10.5 out is not 14 resembling they Yanks were contained by 1978... and we know how that turned out. We Sox fans should never find comfortable with a organize.

They need to start playing fundamentally nouns baseball to end this slump. They hold pitchers who have struggled so far this season. Look at the picture I have posted, this should be caught by any crucial league outfielder.
Until Joe Torre gets rotten his butt and tells this bunch of overpaid monkeys how to play defense, they will not carry out of their slump. If you play fundamentally sound defense that will sustain to support your struggling pitchers and get them out of tough situations. The Yankees poor precautionary play is part of the function behind their pitching woes. Roger Clemens alone cannot store this team.

Hmm..okay, a month a go the Yankee fan rally cry be, "once we get our pitchers put money on look out" "our offense is the best in the league and will pass us". So now you enjoy Pettite, Mussina, and Wong back and they enjoy not impressed at all. The "great" offense. Except for the 8th inning yesterday, enjoy scored how several runs in the ending nine games? Not too impressive within either. Other excuses or comments "linger till Memorial Day and see how far back we are"...oh oh..to be precise next weekend. How in the order of, "ya whatever, we will see come the All-star break" and "doesn`t matter what, yanks other start off slow and the red sox suck and choke at the wrapping up of the year".
So let's see as far as our check list of excuses and predictions is considered. Pitchers vertebrae, nope still losing, check! The best batting lineup surrounded by tact, nope, not so much, still not hitting and still losing. Check! Memorial Day is next weekend..oops, still losing and in a minute a half a activity out of last place. Check! So what's departed on our checklist of excuses and predictions? All-star break and September/October. I have my pen in position. Check!
