Why contained by some baseball parks at hand is a street of dirt from the pitcher's mound to home plate?
Question:Like in Comerica Park surrounded by Detroit.
Answers:
Back in the daytime before grounds crews and nice playing field, the pitcher and catcher would wear a path within the grass between the pitcher's mound and home plate over time. Now it's just something for looks, to make the addition of an aesthetic touch.
Or there's my dad's answer - It's a track for the batter when he charges the mound.
it's for the catcher to walk to the mound.or its adjectives in the design of the enclosed space
Because as part of a protecting play, the pitcher often ends up havin to run to home plate...influence, if the catcher misses the ball beside some on third...if the guy on third starts running home, the pitcher could beat him in that, recieve the ball from the catcher and carry the out.
Also, the catcher sometimes will approach the pitcher to discuss strategy.
Eventually, you will get a worn boardwalk from home plate to the pitcher's mound.
so the ball can bounce. and it is also a design fact.
It's a throwback to the old days. Most of the artistic parks from the late 19th and impulsive 20th centuries had this at smallest at some point. It is part of the retro movement surrounded by baseball. I like it.
Red Sox fan detestable and tight-fisted?
Question:Why are some of you saying this more or less us Red Sox fans?? I, for one, am remarkably sweet and nice and don't get sour talking in the order of other fans.We adjectives love the game of baseball..right??
Answers:
Fenway Park is a intensely friendly place. Fans for other teams are any ignored or occupied. People sing Sweet Caroline during the middle of the 8th inning. The fans are conversant. They don't need the scoreboard to start cheers or the undulation. People do those things themselves. But let a Yankee hanger-on show up, especially at a game not involving the Yankees and various Boston fans will permit that person know that they are considered the follower of a criminal organization. Here's the question paper: Next time the Orioles (an Eastern Division rival) are in town, do you boo or cheer Kevin Millar? You cheer. He's approaching Santa Claus in a baseball uniform. Now the Yankees are contained by town. Do you cheer or boo Johnny Damon and Roger Clemens? We all know the answer. Let's obverse it. We have one self-worth for the Yankees and another for everyone else.
As someone who has be to Red Sox games in non-Boston and New York cities, I can construe why the home town fans dislike us. 10,000 Red Sox fan are louder than 33,000 Angel fans at a Red Sox team game in Anaheim. When the Sox play the Padres surrounded by June and the split is 50/50, except for the Red Sox being up first, in attendance will be no way to put in the picture that the Red Sox are on the road. The same entry frequently happens within Tampa Bay and to a lesser extent within Baltimore and Toronto. Hateful--only to Yankees. Mean--only to Yankees. Loud, boorish and fanatic. Can't lend a hand it. I'm from Boston.
I am a Red Sox fan...and when Yankees fan start talkin trash, I say look at the standings...I assume its safe to articulate Yankees fans are crying this year...
From my travels around the country, Red Sox fan are generally the worst. Not adjectives, but most that I have encounter. I live in New England, but will never move about to another Red Sox game at Fenway, or anywhere else for that business.
The Yankees have made so several Red Sox fans cry surrounded by heartbreak from Babe Ruth to Bucky Dent to Aaron Boone.
There is just a committed dislike for a team that casues you that much spasm when you are a die hard Sox adherent.
Mets fans be aware of the same passageway about the Braves as to Dodgers and Giants fan.
Most of this hater talk comes from in-secure Yankee fan. They all hold this Iotola, Superiority complex. It's rather annoying and exhaustive, in reality (I'm sure you have noticed)
Equate it to "Small Man Syndrome" -- You know, those guys that are similar to 5' tall, 125 lbs that wear lots of Nascar gear and drive HUGE trucks to trademark up for their "short comings"?? -- No pun intended.
Same thing beside Infantile Yankee fans. They hold this complex that its not okay unless they win every year. Thank George Steinbrenner for breeding and influencing MILLIONS of people and making them insecure and neurotic.
I intuitively hate baseball, I'm sorry it may be un American but I do. I live within NY State see all sorts of comments made in the order of teams and I hold seen Red Sox fan taunting Yankee fans. The track I see it, if you can't take it, next don't dish it out. Its a game for Pete's sake. Besides the Red Sox are have a GREAT season, and jealous fan are the ones who make the denote comments.
I don't remember us, having a biggest payroll within baseball and have poor to win a WS since 2001... I don't know where they carry off calling us be set to. Who cares, most yankee fan here and mature, and the ones that are small to run their mouth off, should stir touch themselves
I'm a Phillies fan but I enjoy to say that Red Sox fan are the most ridiculous people surrounded by all of baseball. They enjoy such a hatred for the Yankees and their fan, it almost borders on insanity. I suppose it has to do beside always losing to the Yankees year after year. You'd conjecture it would have enhanced since they won in 2004 but it seem to have gotten worse. I'm sure this doesn't pertain to every Boston aficionado but the ones that are hateful stereotype a shadow over all Boston fan and that's really not fair. I know closely of Yankee fans and for the most section they just gurgle it off. It seem they understand that's it's a activity, nothing more. But Red Sox fan think it's enthusiasm and death. That's pretty wretched.
Every team have good supportive fan AND, unfortunately, fan that take it too far. I've be a Red Sox fan for heaps years and nothing aggravates me more than listen to fans of any squad (esp. Yankees fans) that go on and on as if they instinctively had something to do near the teams nouns.
The problem is that there are probably more poor winner than poor losers and that is due to the agreement of "trash talking." People don't know when to stop rubbing it surrounded by the opponent's face when they are in the lead or ahead. We could use a little more honest sportsmanship all around (by both players and fans).
As for me one-sidedly, I feel that a great play is a great play no issue who makes it. Go Red Sox (but Yanks fan, keep supporting your squad even if this doesn't turn out to be your day/week/season).
Not all Red Sox fan are like that as very well as Not all Yankees fan. Some ruin it for all.
Yankees fan are accused of human being rude and arrogant, I am neither. Some of my friends are Bosox fans and we're tight.
I love the red sox =-have be a fan for adjectives most forty years and every time the sox are doing better than the yankees
their fans WHINE- when my son go to yankee stadium(he was 11) he be spit at ,cursed and had cigarettes thrown at him. obviously he was dressed within full redsox garb. every sport
have its fanatics and I hope The Rocket turns out to be a DUD.
I'm sure you're a really nice person and adjectives, but there are PLENTY of other race in the Red Sox supporter nation that hate us Yankee fan. They seem to love to put the blame on us. They blame us for forcing Babe Ruth out of the troop. They blame us for the Curse of the Bambino. They blame us when theygo through the 86 year drought. Next thing you know, they're gonna be blaming us for world hunger or something. It adjectives started with Babe Ruth. And it's never going to finish off. Mostly, I guess it's because people started pointing fingers at the Yankees, and us fan tried to defend them, and ourselves. Now, nobody is going to listen to so-called "logic" at a baseball winter sport. So we struck back. And presently this entire cycle of rivalry and hate between Yankee fan and Red Sox fans is never going to terminate. We all love the winter sport of baseball, but we also love our teams.
Yankees Love. <3
i dont believe be all propose. i root for the Red Sox but respect every team they play
I feel the Yankees should buy the Cubs. What do you ruminate?I expect, they buy everthing else?
Question:They cant win a championship next to the team they own in a minute, maybe they could if they bought the Cubs
Answers:
Wow, some of you hold no sense of humor. Get a freaking grip people, he wasn't individual serious.
You're an idiot.
Dumb question dude.
I would assassinate myself if the Yankees bought the Cubs. That would ruin my life.
lolz your funny? Mr steinbrener would not approve of this
love it ole George might catch another title before he croaks....i.e. what makes me cracked about the yank.....they can buy these great players, but then again let look at the giant purchase of ARod and his progress in the tweak org.....you are funny and love your questions
Why do that. For that concerned of money, they could by a descent reliever, or maybe two minor leagers! LOL
I don't reflect any of the current owners would approve the sale, nor MLB for that thing.
wow
you are really a fool
its against MLB rules for one owner to have interests within 2 teams. to be precise why Sam Zell has to trade the cubs, he partially owns the white sox
Spoken close to a true Met or Red Sox fan...
You ever see that the two teams who complain MOST going on for the Yankee's payroll...
Rank #2 and #3 in the league contained by Payroll?
Get with the times Baseball have competative balance and money doesn't thing as much as you think. LA is the #2 medium market concluding World Series 1987. Cubs has the approval of the Tribune Company and they where still losers
Why are you hypocrite? Red Sox reward at huge contracts. Are the Angels a big or small market squad?
You must miss the Braves being surrounded by the playoffs every year since 1991. Get an owner who will take the money they earn and put it posterior into the product.
Wow, u might be the most retarted person on this total forum by asking that question.
Depends: Does the Curse come as division of the purchase?
I would be against it, although I wouldn't mind seeing Jay Mariotti's reaction on "Around the Horn." Better even so, hearing the back-and-forth between Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon on "Pardon the Interruption." Wilbon would hold a Grade 1 Conniption.
Your very taken with the Yankees,Why don't you come out of the closet and shout,,GO YANKEESSSSSSSS
they've won more championships than any other troop with the troop they own now. Why do you write things that any idiot on the street would know is untrue? You must be a really big moron. Good luck trying to obtain through life person the biggest idiot anyone has ever hear of.
first off, ARE YOU ON DRUGS?! SECOND, "they cant win a challenge with the troop they have" are you a complete ***HOLE? YOU ARE WHACKED AND NEED SERIOUS HELP!!
This let's pick on the Yankees crap is so dumb. Find a new topic.
