I meditate Barry is probably the best steroid induced player in the team game. Steroids cause the manager to swell and I would love to see Barry put on the old Pirates bonnet. If Barr-roid is proven innocent of steriods (hah!), after he will go down as the greatest "power hitter" of adjectives time. Best Baseball Player? No way. He doesn't hustle, whether out contained by left grazing land or on the base path. He's the most selfish player contained by the game. He's widely unpopular, and that's inwardly his ownhouse! The media dislikes him. Fans outside of Frisco can`t bear him. Other players on other teams don't similar to him much either. And although he "used to" enjoy speed (before he gained consignment becuase of steroid use, allegedly!)his arm is a joke (just ask Sid Bream!). Ty Cobb be hated by adjectives in his morning, but no one denied that he played the hobby as well and as frozen as anyone who ever wore a uniform.

Barry's distinctly one of the top hitters(especially power) of all time. As an overall baseball player, within are lots of players that could be considered better than him. However, people who pay no attention to how good he have been because he allegedly did steroids(something that hasn't in actual fact been proven, and something that in that wasn't a rule against until recently) and wish for him to be expelled are completely off their rockers. As I've said contained by other posts on the subject, why don't you guys ask for Jason Giambi to be banned or enjoy his numbers taken away? He admitted to using steroids.

Babe Ruth is the greatest ballplayer of adjectives time. The Black Sox scandal nearly destroyed baseball, and Ruth did more to rescue baseball than anyone.

even aside from the steroids issue, bonds is still a poor shielding player, a selfish individual, and a player who consistently disrupts troop chemistry, so i find it impossible to bring myself to call him the greatest player surrounded by history

if u look at barry bonds's stats he is the all-time greatest player. With his MVP's and home runs stolen basis gold gloves and adjectives of the other stats he is the best ever. Although it is likely he used steroids he have never failed a theory test like Rafael Palmero did so he can't be proved for cheating. I am not a Bonds enthusiast but baseball is a game of stats and he have the all-time greatest stats.
How can you even think that Barry Bonds is the best player of adjectives time? Babe Ruth had more home runs than alot of team had. Plus Barry is self-centred, will not listen to his team mate. (an example of this was contained by 1992 game 7 against the Braves). Andy Van Slyke told Barry to move over a few foot. Barry refused, & where on earth was the bubble hit? Where Van Slyke told Barry it would go, so Barry make the worst throw to home plate EVER!!! Even the teammates he has very soon, really can not stand him.

It calculates the percentage you help your team win a baseball hobby, which makes it really the most exalted stat in the spectator sport, since that is ultimately what baseball is going on for. Winning.

No I do not. He is a great player past he was accuse of taking steroids. Though it has never be proven it's obvious that he have taken performance-enhancing drugs, and that will taint his birthright. I think he would enjoy hit between 550-600 homers but steroids and HGH added length to his career, along next to inflated stats.

He is a deeply good baseball player who previously his steriod use showed he had a drastically good occasion for the Hall of Fame. Now, he is a horrible example of how screwed-up baseball has become. His collection will always be shunned by the baseball fan who see how obvious his steroid use have produced the homerun record. The steroids did not bring in him a great hitter, he is a great hitter on his own. The steroids have made him much, much stronger and made it possible to play a longer profession so he could reach this fouled record he will plausible take away from one of the most respected and honest baseball players of adjectives time, Hank Aaron. Bonds is a sad excuse for a homerun king. Aaron is the homerun king because he did not cheat to acheive his store.

No. He might not even be the best player of his era. The 755+ homeruns and 500 stolen bases notwithstanding, he will never really be remember as mortal clutch, or hustling, or really anything but being self-seeking, and this does not even account for the steroid issue. Alex Rodriguez will probably topple his homerun diary in the subsequent ten years, and Albert Pujois will got down as one of the better players ever.

Question:I have a baseball signed by all of the members of the Detroit Tigers, from some years back (not dated), and I would like to know what it is worth. How do I go about this? Is there a company that will do this? In my area (48009)? Any info will help.

it's kidn of tricky...you can try taking it to a local card shop or comic book store...they can usually tell you what something is worth or direct you to somebody who can...another place you may want to check is a sports memorabilia convention...check the local papers to see when one may be comming to your area... the problem is valuation is something of a scam in the collectibles business. An item is worth whatever someone will pay.
People want collectibles, and collectors want collectibles with a medium to uncontrollable passion. Dealers invent all kinds of rationalizations for collecting. One is the "it's an investment" argument. For this to work, there must be at least the illusion of consistent valuations. Many collectors, especially novice collectors, lean on valuation guides as they rationalize their collecting as the accumulation of value. If the book says $200 and they can pay $150, they feel like they have laid up $50 or at least made a good bargain.
I'd guess that there are a few collectibles that have truly consistent valuations. Gold bars, for example. Coins. A perfect specimen is a perfect specimen. Once you introduce something like the fact that some guys like the Tigers better than other guys do, however, there can be no consistent value.
