Question:The reigning world champs are 15-20, lately got shutout *twice* by the Padres this weekend, and are already 9 games down the (*gasp*) Brewers? I'm sure that it must affect a team tremendously when a tragic loss occurs on the staff, but I don't estimate that could fully explain their current standing in the NL Central.

I'm a Cardinals follower, and this has only just been horrible to see this year. A couple of things have gone wrong.
1) Chris Carpenter get injured on opening time. He hasn't had a start since after, and is now out roughly 3 months.
2) Their starting pitching staff was colourless before the ace get hurt. This offseason they lost Jeff Suppan, Jason Marquis, and Jeff Weaver. Weaver was one of the prevalent reasons that they won the World Series.
3) There hitting have been awful. Edmonds hasn't produced and neither have ROlen or Pujols. Because of the lack of protection surrounded by the lineup Pujols has be getting bad pitches to hit. He have also been trying to transport the entire team on his hindmost.
4) Josh Hancock was a huge loss for the Cardinals. He have made a rough start even rougher. Trying to win games in the principal leagues is tough adequate, but trying to deal beside a death at duplicate time is just almost impossible.
What happen? Reality! Pujols needs to start playing and their pitchers obligation to pull their head out of their as*es!

THat is the main point, the Cards won the WS with Pujols himself and a touch help of Eckstein and proved that he doesn't inevitability Rolen or Edmonds...
Also, Carpernter is hurt, and without him, the pitching become just forlorn...
I am (or used to be) a big Cards fan. I agree, and cogitate it's mainly Pujols- the Cards are nil without him. He really requirements to step up.
You need Pujols and Rolen to step it up, as very well as young hurlers similar to Reyes and Wainright to get more consistent. It's anybody's division this year.stay positive!

Question:nothing againced baseball,.. but anymore its baseball this baseball that,.. why cant anyone reconize softball at the moment,.. i mean its basically as important as baseball,. i own been playing for 14years and i merely got a solorship to UCLA,... for softball,.. its a really apt sport and i think more ppl should reconize it,.. srry if this affronted anyone

Congrats on the scholorship! But yes I feel like peas in a pod at my school the baseball troop is always on the college radio station and morning show. There is no difference beside girls/boys, bigger ball/smaller ball. At our glorious school Our baseball enclosed space is soooooo nice it is in the especially front of the school. Thge softball is surrounded by the back and it's not the nicest one you've ever see. ESPN it's all Baseball. No felony to baseball but that's kinda sexism.
I sympathize. Most of the only sports that receive abundantly of attention are male sports. But, that is to say because most sports fans are men. Sorry, undeserved but it is the way it is.

What exactly do you tight-fisted by "more people should spot it"? If you mean, more relatives should like it, after that's a bit silly. People like what they similar to. Most people close to baseball and don't have the stipulation to watch another magazine of it. Others who don't like baseball are most expected not going to like softball any. Just the way it happen to be. By the way, are you going to be taking english classes at UCLA? Looks as if you have need of those badly. Againced? Solorship? I estimate more people should authorize that learning english is crucial!!
omg you are so right! i play softball too, and i know how you feel. im solely in little league still, but everything is still in the order of baseball, and it sucks. congratulations on getting a scholarship to UCLA, i love their softball troop. =]

thank you i totally agree..race seem to forget that 2 season ago the yankees were 13 games out of first place and consequently went on to win 80 games within a row and win the division..and you will always capture haters..i've been a yankee lover for 16 years and other baseball fans are a short time ago jealous that they are the greatest sports franchise next to the most championships within ALL of SPORTS..
In every sport there is going to be that squad that is disliked. It's in fact a compliment. People enjoy hate the Yankees. No other team is brought up more. They can despise all they want and but they can't get them out of their minds.
