Question:I'm a big sox fan, but I wonder if the rest of the country is sick of audible range about both of our team. As much as we think we're opposites, some fan just lump the yankees and red sox together.

While I reflect most people appreciate a right rivalry, nobody likes it shoved down their throat. People watch the Miami/New York games in the NBA Detroit/Colorado within the nhl Michigan/Ohio State, Notre Dame/USC because the teams truly hate respectively other. Any sports fan will scrutinize a rivalry game, especially between two competitive team, but I don't want the first 2 hours of Sportscenter dedicated to it. I am from the midwest and could not care smaller quantity about the rivalry. Granted contained by September it has more implication if both teams are duking it out for the AL East crown..but for ESPN to dispense it as much hype as it has for April games is going overboard.

Yes, most of the country hates that Yankees, hell anyone can win the world series by buying the best players on the bazaar, lets see them win using the Royals, Brewers, or Pirates payroll. The Sox aren't far losing in this arguement of spending too much money any.

That is a great question! I be just conversation about the rivalry yesterday to a non-expert (lol) and be trying to explain it as best I could..As a Sox fan, I other go put a bet on to 1978 play-off game but I guess it must be so annoying for the relations that don't like any team to enjoy to put up with adjectives the hype year after year...I don't like man lumped in near any fan that spews gloomy things about team in standard...I dont like the Yankees but, I own respect for a lot of their players..As for the Sox, I love them adjectives...If you are on the Red Sox, you are ok in my book..lol..(unless Gary Sheffield ever come here..then it would be my first Red Sox player I dont like)..lol...
I live on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi (also set as the land that Hurricane Katrina Obliterated) and I love the Rivalry. It make baseball interesting.

Now that I in actuality step back and construe about it for once, you're right. Maybe our rivalry is overhyped. (Sorry if I'm breaking rules here, but I am within the East (NYC) and I am such a huuuuuuge Yankees fan.) I'm so sure that the rest of America is sick of the big accord everyone is making about the rivalry. Obviously, we can't conclusion it anytime soon. I mean, what can we do nearly it? It started with Babe Ruth and the Curse of the Bambino, and I don't focus it will end for awhile. There's undoubtedly going to be major tautness between these two teams for a LONG time.
I've be sick of hearing nearly it. I can't wait until the MLB wises up and enforce a salary hat like the NFL. Then Boston and New York can't stock pile a file up of all stars. Parity is one of the reason the NFL has become so huge.
We here contained by Chicago hate ESPN! Our local ESPN radio station guys create fun of how biased the channel is in the order of the Yankees and Red Sox! We don't care much at adjectives about the games between these two. Who would trouble? ESPN has hyped this series up so much that we in reality now can`t bear this rivalry! Why would Cub, Sox, Cardinal or even Twins fans vigilance to watch these two play on tv every 2 weeks?? Then you hold ESPN telling us how great both team are, making it seem approaching the World Series. Then there is the 30 other games they nouns during the year - with over partly of them being Yankees or Red Sox!
ESPN have become the Fox News of sports stations. Where FoxNews is a Republican station - but claims they are down the middle, ESPN has become a sounding board for the east coast team.

I live in the midwest and dream up the Red Sox-Yankees rivalry is one of the best rivalries in baseball due to the certainty you play in like peas in a pod division, cities are close by and the fans own a passion for their ballclubs and baseball contained by general. Red Sox & Yankee fan? All teams hold rivalries, Cubs/Cardinals, Dodgers/Giants, White Sox/Tigers, and the fans contained by these are just as committed and caring for their team like the Red Sox/Yankee fan are of theirs. Your teams only just get more press is adjectives.
There are transplanted Bostonians and New Yorkers on the West Coast. Last August in Angel Stadium, the Red Sox fan were louder than the Angels fan during Take Me Out to the Ballgame.

I dont think they carefulness
Living 15 minutes outside the Cleveland area, I hold mixed emotions give or take a few the series. I do think it is notably overrated. But last weekend I watch. I watched to see if Arod would homer. That's the just reason. It be enjoyable to see the comeback Boston put up on Marinao Rivera lead off by Coco Crisp. But the reality is these series are played by teams who collectively enjoy won one World Series Title in the second 7 years. The Yankees have lately be an early exit surrounded by October--the mystique is gone. Boston wasn't even in the playoffs finishing year. I personally,and possibly being biased am WAY more interested contained by the Central. Twins,Indians,Tigers and Whitesox are very competitive...and the World Title have come out of the Central 2 years straight. This goes for the NL too...I relish the Cardinals,Brewers -I love Midwest baseball. The fans are great--alot smaller quantity cursing in the stands (I hold been to Yankee Stadium-it's similar to a truck stop). The vibe and the events on the streets in the past the games--all the festivities. I visit St. Louis 3 times--what a great city for baseball. I hear Fenway is like that too--I love the New England area---but what happen in the A.L. East between the Sox and Yankees really doesn't situation to me.
