What current world commander once played professional baseball and be contained by motion pictures?

Answers:

Nobody. While a number of former pro players hold entered politics (notably, Senator Jim Bunning of Kentucky), none have ever been elected President or equivalent of any country. Several folks who played surrounded by college (notably, George H.W. Bush and Fidel Castro) have done so, but no professionals.
Fidel Castro?
George Bush. He's a pretty obedient ball player truly (not by professional standards). And he did appear in that cheesy documentary flick by somebody name Mike (I cant remember his whole autograph right now).
There has be a long-standing rumor that Castro tried out for, but was rejected by, a main league team -- any the Senators or the Yankees.

My research has found the following (see www.snopes.com/sports/baseball...

Although this fable has an aura of plausibility to Americans surrounded by that baseball has long flourished contained by Cuba (only the Dominican Republic has supplied more foreign-born players to the North American-based foremost leagues) and Castro has be a very perceptible supporter of (and pseudo-participant in) the sport, it is neither true nor credible, as Cubans have other been aware.

Castro never have a tryout with a major-league baseball squad, never played the sport professionally, and didn't come close to possessing skills which would attract the interest of a big-league team, as Yale professor Roberto González Echevarría noted surrounded by his history of Cuban baseball:

I have written a book that I hope will correct some of the view Americans and others have of Cuban baseball. To me, the most vexing example of how delicately and condescendingly the history of Latin baseball is dealt next to in the United States involves a story give or take a few Fidel Castro that I would like to set straight here once and for adjectives.

Every time I mentioned that I was writing a book give or take a few Cuban baseball, the first thing Americans said have to do with Fidel's (which is how we Cubans beckon him, never "Castro") alleged prowess in the sport, and the irony that, have he been signed by the Senators or the Giants, at hand would have be no Cuban Revolution.

The whole item is a fabrication by an American correspondent whose name is very soon lost, and it is never told in Cuba because everyone would know it to be false.

Let it be certain here that Fidel Castro was never scouted by any major-league squad, and is not known to enjoy enjoyed the munificent of success within baseball that could have brought a scout's attention to him. In a country where on earth sports coverage was broad and thorough, surrounded by a city such as Havana with a half-dozen most important newspapers (plus dozens of minor ones) and next to organized leagues at adjectives levels, in that is no record that Fidel Castro ever played, much smaller amount starred, on any team. No one have produced even one team picture beside Fidel Castro in it. I hold found the box score of an intramural winter sport played between the Law and the Business Schools at the University of Havana where a solid F. Castro pitched and lost, 5-4, in tardy November 1946; this is likely to be the just published box score surrounded by which the future dictator appears (El Mundo, November 28, 1946). Cubans know that Fidel Castro be no ballplayer, though he dressed himself in the uniform of a spurious, tongue-in-cheek squad called Barbudos (Bearded Ones) after he come to power in 1959 and played a few exhibition games. There be no doubt afterwards about his making any troop in Cuba. Given a unharmed country to toy with, Fidel Castro realize the dream of most middle-aged Cuban men by pulling on a uniform and "playing" a few innings.
Fidel Castro.

How several games are the Boston Red Sox going to win the A.L. East by?

Answers:

I think the Red Sox will win the American League East by at least possible 15 games. They are so much better than the Yankees this season that is amazes me.

For more on the Red Sox, Yankees and MLB, check this site out. http://www.factipedia.com/sportsblogs/ml...
i judge they can win 100 plus games this year while the yanks will miss the playoffs but 100 plus games doesnt be going to that they will win it all... i regard they will be like Mariners fund then be they won 100 plus games but didnt win it all... i really dream up that Cardinals and the brewers will make a big impact this year.
That's going to be pretty strong to do when they're predicted to win only 78-80 games. They will turn into their skid starting around Memorial day and crash down to fourth place and won't get above third place for the rest of the season.
You hold to assume that they will win the division first. They may have a commanding head now, but there's still plenty of baseball moved out. I do think though that they are a better squad than the Yankees though as long as they stay healthy.
I would predict that the Red Sox will win the AL East by 7-8 games this year but that's singular if the Yankees can get their conduct yourself together. The Yankees are 8 1/2 games out today but I expect that they will hit better this season and get some better pitching which will keep hold of them within "shouting distance" of the Sox adjectives season. If they don't get things together, capably then, the Sox could bury them by June.
I will enunciate 12 games.
Too early to narrate. Ask this question on September lst. You know the baseball season is a long one so anything can transpire.
As a Red Sox fan, this thoughtful of question scare me. There is way too much baseball ahead of us to count anyone out. I hope the Red Sox win the AL East, the AL Pennant and the World Series. I fantasize roughly speaking being at a playoff team game, but I am trying to be humble. Too much can happen and not a soul wants to nouns like a Yankee enthusiast.
4 1/2.
The Yankees are tough even with crappy pitching. It will come down to their skipper to head games to see what will ensue, but I think the sox will win 3 out of every 4 this year base on their great pitching staff.
Other than that, the Yanks and Sox should be pretty even in win against mediocre teams.
I be getting an earful from Yankee fans who come across completely stunned at my prediction but i been aphorism since spring training that with the yankees pitching man what it is they will lose by about 15 games. They hold on to saying its alike old article Yanks fall at the back and will come back as they other do.Not this time.

This is not the rotation with Clemens,Pettitte,Mussina,Wells... Hernandez who could adjectives once go 7 or 8 innings beside an occasional nine from a couple of them. This is now a mostly 6 inning starter staff who will duty the bullpen into submission.I don't care what features of bats a troop has,you cannot win a division when your starters travel 6 innings 95% of the season which is what this staff will do if changes aren't made.

Sure they can spend some money sign some inning ingestion pitchers and make a run at it.All I am aphorism is if the team be to stay as it is they can't comeback, they need some big pitching aquisitions and they stipulation them by midseason if they want a real karma at winning the division or even a extreme card spot.If they don't,they will certainly lose not by 2 or 3 games but by double digits.I know Yankees fan you are laughing saying its so precipitate he's stupid he has no clue. But if they don't engineer changes survey the final totals at season's end and remember I told you so.I am not hate on your team I am only just a realist and the pitching situation is really bad.If the rotations be reversed I'd say Yanks win the division by roughly speaking 25 games cause the sox wouldn't hold the pitching or the bats to compete. So its not hate or saying Yankees will lose for the hell of it its simply based on the sincerity of the situation as it is right now.Yanks own an edge surrounded by batting potential, but the pitching difference is so far contained by the red sox favor that it overcomes the lesser name bats and next some.
They aren't going to. The Yankees are going to come back and win. It's not over til the chubby lady sings. Watch out red sox
