If a pitcher have trouble pitching out of the stretch why not merely pitch out of the twirl up and furnish up an SB?
Question:I mean, why not focus on getting the out beside the best possible pitch, rather than loose control or velocity?

How copious stolen bases do you want to donate up? If the runner gets to third, he could steal home during the crisscross up or be allowed home if the pitcher balks. Plus, who can say the pitcher can catch a strikeout. If the runner steals 2nd and 3rd, the runner could easily mark on a ground out or fly out. Basically, you want to prevent the runner from getting into scoring position.
Most pitchers have 2 foot on the rubber when pitching from the wind up. This would be totally hard to clutch both feet past its sell-by date the mound to throw out the runner without it self a balk.
It is just the personality of the game plus it is greatly difficult to step directly to a base from the windup position (legal surrounded by pro ball-- look it up under certified rule 8.00 -- The Pitcher) without committing a balk.
There is no course you would want to give up SB's adjectives day long. If you consent to a runner on first, then consent to him steal both second and third, the possibility of him scoring increases exponentially from first to second and then rises again from second or third because at hand are many more ways to win him. Look at this: Runner on 1st will probably be scored next to a double or more, A runner on 2nd base will probably evaluation with a single through the infield or more, and a runner on 3rd can gain with any hit, a fly orb in the outfield near less than 2 outs and on any ground orb to the infield that isn't hit hard at third or first.
By letting a guy sour 1st, you are also giving up the double play possibility.
You simply can't afford to do it.

Question:I just watch Colorado walk Barry contained by the top of the 8th... but didn't see them hang the rubber chicken !! Do they still hang down the rubber-chickens at PacBell Park (ATT)? And if not, why ?

Hey Robert, i read the above answers and you probably arent sure what the answer to your interview is with in recent times those...lol Well your answer is 100 percent for sure yes. they still hang the chicken following an intentional put your foot on the right field wall at pac bell park. The other daytime a little girl dropped one..it be kind of funny. Go Giants!

Indians fan: why isn't Choo playing?
Question:Shinsoo Choo got recall from triple a on monday, and has be hitting and fielding pretty well brought-up for 4 days.
But he didn't play friday, nor is he playing today. Why?

The indians have a pretty impartial starting roster. Choo only plays when they want him to. Just because hes hot right now doesnt tight-fisted its going to stay that way.
Basically the Indians are stacked. Choo can singular platoon. You have Trot Nizon,Grady Sizemore,Casey Blake,Jason Michaels,David Dellucci who can and do adjectives play in the Outfield. I love Choo's arm though...he gunned down Lofton at homeplate Wednsday on a spectacular throw. Choo can never be more afterwards a bench player in Cleveland unless some serious injuries take place. I'd like to see him grasp atleast 10 at bats per week to hold him sharp...I'm not sure there is room for him though.
What is rarer within baseball? Inside the park home run, or a balk?
Question:Two extreme rarities...does anybody hold evidence of which is rarer?

According to Major League Baseball stats for 2006, there be 140 balks over the season.
According to baseball-almanac.com, only one surrounded by every 158 (or 0.63%) of home runs were inside the park between 1951 and 2000.
If we assume that that percentage is still accurate (which it will not be due to the decrease size of major league ballparks between 1951 and today, but it will still illustrate the point) afterwards out of the 5386 home runs in 2006, one and only 33 would have be inside the park. As expected, this number is high, as the most detailed chronicle I could find for the 06 season only nominated 22.
This is only true for the professional horizontal. Having attended and worked at many a moment or two league game I own seen oodles more inside the park home runs than balks. Most umpires on that stratum are forgiving enough to over look the small movements that would constitute a balk on the trunk league level.

That's tough, but I would say balk.
I will say-so balk because I've never heard of it.
a balk would probably be the rarest of both, within are a lot of inside park homeruns, and some are from errors. to my perception though the pitcher is the one that balks and some of them are allowed depends on if anyone is on base or not. not sure if this is the right information, but remember my sister within law talkin bout it at one of her softball games, seem that mens softball and womens softball are allowed to balk even if there is noone on substructure, and they can also pitch a quick return pitch unlike baseball.
To me, an inside the parker is more rarer. Both seldom take place in a primary league baseball game. A balk can be efficiently made mostly due to the pitcher's movement whereas an inside the park home run is more difficult to obtain.
Nevertheless, a inside the park home run is much more exciting to keep watch on instead of a balk. I would rather examine a inside the parker than a balk. After all, a balk can be made by breaking several confusing rules.
The inside-the-ballpark-homerun occur less repeatedly than a balk--There were around 25 ITB hrs closing year and around 50 balks in the Majors. I wouldn't classify them "rare" as read out, a triple play, which occurs I don`t know 2-3 times a season in both league.
More rare would move about to inside the park homerun. Not alot of guys have speed and can't generate it around the bases that high-speed, and not to mention the outfielders are quicker. A balk is more common very soon.
Inside-the-park home runs are much rarer than balks.
