How do I way of walking on to a college softball squad?

Question:I have be playing since I was 5 but my junior year I be diagnosed with a thyroid disease and I have to sit out my junior and senior year. My sophomore year I was on varsity. I'm trying to bring back my body back within shape and I really miss playing. How are my chances? Should I not even attempt to way of walking on at a D1 school? How do I step about it? I know they start beside fall bubble, but when are try outs?
Answers:

Each school is set up differently, but eMailing the coach possibly a good start (athletic directors are probably too busy).

At a D1 college you're clearly going to have to work harder to prove yourself, but it's definately worth a try. No regrets!
My sister played D1 softball.
Most school will take as copious walk ons that are able of playing at that level.

Your behind the times high institution team should be surrounded by season right now. Ask the coach if you can condition and practice beside them.

I would go to your college's Athletic Department and ask for the Assitant coach's christen and office numbers. Start in attendance. See if you can meet beside him or her for 10 mins. The assitant coach usually handles those type of things.

Start beside the AD office. Good Luck!
First of adjectives, pick a school that you'd want to attend even save playing softball (you are going for an education first and foremost). Second, confirm that you are academically eligible to play at that academy (GPA, SAT or ACT scores). You'll also need to apply to the NCAA Clearinghouse (your big school advisor can lend a hand you there). Make a skills video and mail it to the softball department next to a cover letter stating your intention to try to walk-on; be sure to include your e-mail address. The coaches will contact you and tolerate you know if they have space for you. Good luck!
If you are inept to determine when and if tryouts are held, I recommend you play intramural softball. You could be noticed if you are playing superbly, and offered a tryout. Your probability depend, of course, on how very well you play, the strength of your D1's program, and the team's needs.

In the alternative, you could write to the program's mediator and state your circumstances and indicate your desire.

Best wishes!

Worst starting pitcher surrounded by baseball?

Question:I would say Jeff Weaver is the worst pitcher within the bigs. The Mariners would be better off starting Morrow, he brings the fry.
Second worst might be Sidney Ponson.
Answers:

Jeff Weaver. He has have so many probability to pitch in this league and have failed every time. He is not central league material.
Get Eric Milton surrounded by that list too.
theres tons of horrible starters but jeff weaver isnt the worst he's a short time ago having a doomed to failure start. Sidney Ponson is a great candidate for worse pitcher but nearby are believe or not worse pitchers than him Eric Milton is horrible and so is jaret wright. Another two who are pretty bad are tony armas jr. and Mark Redman.
Tony Armas Jr. Pirates would be much better have Shawn Chacon in the rotation..
Anyone who's starting right presently for the NY Yankees.
I'm going to go next to Darrell Rasner. He's the number five starter for the Yankees, and they're definitely the worst pitching troop in baseball. He is a reliever, but they hold him listed as a starter due to adjectives the injuries.
The entire staff of the Texas Rangers
jeff weaver and the guy ponson who used to play or still plays for the orioles those 2 are simply the worst
the worst starting pitchers in baseball are no longer surrounded by the big leagues. guys similar to jorge sosa who do nothing but offer up long balls bring back demoted quickly.

no event how poor a starting pitcher may be, if he's in the majors he deserves his spot.
1-Worst
14- Best of the worst

1. Jerome Williams
2. Mark Redman
3. Sidney Ponson
4. Eric Milton
5. Jae Seo
6. Byung Hyung Kim
7. Odalis Perez
8. Tony Armas Jr.
9. Josh Fogg
10. Jaret Wright
11. Jeff Weaver
12. Brandon McCarthy
13. Kip Wells (fast start until immediately. Now he's showing us the Kip Wells we all know and love).
14. Jason Marquis (how do you depart from him off. how can he own losing records within St. Louis when the Cardinals were one of the best team in baseball, and oh yeah, his ERA is similar to 6 and gives up too much HR.)

Weaver is desperate, but not the worst. Look at his 04 stats and what he did in the postseason end year. Otherwise, he sucks. So do a lot of other name on my list. How did adjectives of you forget about Jerome Williams!!!!!
Julian Tavaras of the Red Sox. He is a more or less good reliever, but as a starter, he of late does NOT measure up.

Chow!!
anyone of the yankees starters.

Are the Mariners pious plenty to win the West.?

Question:I think I don`t know. Currently they are 1 game support, 2 games over .500. All this with their ace missing almost 1 month, the worst starting pitcher contained by baseball getting 6 starts, and no single player having an all-star type of year on the distasteful side of the ball.
Answers:

I've be saying adjectives along that I thought this team would finish 2nd contained by the West, behind the Halos. The Angels in recent times have too much pitching, and they'll own just satisfactory hitting to make it work. I love the Ms lineup(I cant dawdle for Sexson to get hot), but the starters arent relatively good adequate to make them much more than a .500 club. I live contained by Washington and pull for the squad, but they seem to be rather short on the pitching end of things.
no. Bad Pitching outside of Felix
no, they do not own clutch players, beltre and sexson are slumping, and they dont have anyone to net up for them
No.
Yes, but I don't know if they will.
If they can find a way to consistently cadence the A's and Angels (they put a whoopin on LA last night) I mull over they have a accurate chance to win the west. They enjoy to be able to trounce their division opponents, though, and they haven't done a awfully good assignment of that the last couple years.
wow you are hot...they suck
anything can happen contained by the wild west. the compititionthere is lacklustre with the A's, angles and ranger. with a dynimite pitcher close to felix hernendaz and a killer starting lineup (Ichiro! (CF) Adrian Beltre (3B) Raul Ibanez (LF) Richie Sexson (1B) Jose Guillen (RF) Jose Vidro (DH) Kenji Johjima (C)Jose Lopez (2B) Yuniesky Betancourt (SS)) anyhing is possible
The Mariners are no where on earth near a playoff caliber squad or a team that can win the division. The merely way is if the injuries maintain plaguing Oakland and Las Angeles once the A's and Angels are fully healthy they're not going to be anywhere hard by the division lead.
They couldn't win NCAA baseball right very soon. They need to overhaul their entire pitching staff, upgrade their corners (Beltre be a horrible aquisition), and next year they own to replace Ichiro. Gonna be awhile before they win anything. Angels are too strong, and A's will finish 2nd.
The M's are my favorite troop. So yes, they will win the AL West.

Let me explain why.

The Mariners actually hold OK pitching. I admit, Jeff Weaver have been a dud this year. But immediately they have Felix support, Jerrod Washburn is starting to heat up similar to a few years ago, and J.J. Putz, their closer, is rock solid. Maybe replacing Weaver with Cha Seung Baek from Triple-A will do the trick.

Their field is superb. Ichiro is enough to trademark one team's defense good. I've see Yuniesky Betancourt, their shortstop, make plays that Derek Jeter is all right known for. Kenji Johjima is approaching a brick wall at catcher.

Their batting is dutiful and can only grasp better. Ichiro, who is basically on a slump, will start to warmth up. Johjima is batting contained by the 300's and Raul is getting a good number of RBI's. Beltre and Sexson, who I accept, have be disappointing, have shown signs of coming fund from the dead. Yuniesky Betancourt is have his best year, and could easily bring back the Most Improved Player award. The two Jose's the Mariners acquired from the Nats (Guillen, Vidro) enjoy shown that if placed on a better team (the M's), they can really turn up their bat prowess.

I think the Mariners will win the AL West. They are better than the Angels, A's, and Rangers!
no they suck
I don't regard so they don't have a consistant offencive player and at hand pitching is down in the dumps so even if they hold good safeguard in the grazing land dosn't mean they can stop the home runs.
no

Why is Ozzie Smith contained by the baseball Hall of Fame and Alan Trammell is not? Check out the job stats!?

Answers:

Trammell had the fruitless timing to play concurrent with Ozzie, who redefined how shortstop could be played defensively, and Ripken, who showed that SS could be a power player. Alan be okay at both but not superstar-class at either. He have deserved better in the voting but probably never will carry it.

I think Larkin might similarly carry dismissed, and he's Hall worthy too. Right when he should have taken the shortstop spotlight -- Ozzie retired, Cal ancient Gehrig and on his long, graceful ride home -- up popped the Trinity, Jeter, Garciaparra, and the tsunami of Rodriguez. Despite unbeaten an NL MVP, Larkin never got the bigger medium coverage he should have because, suddenly, he wasn't the best shortstop within baseball.
alot of it probably has to do near the men that get nominiated at the time but he does deserve it
Ozzie get in as an exceptional fielder. His bat stats aren't the reason he get in.

Trammell be not anything exceptional contained by the field. And his totally inept manging job has kill any chance he'd be reconsider.
The raw stats are comparable, but here are some others to consider.

Gold Gloves: Ozzie-13, Trammell-4
All Star: Ozzie-15 Trammell-6
Post Season: Ozzie-4 appearances, 3 World Series, won one Championship, NLCS MVP. Trammell-2 appearances, 1 Championship.
Because Ozzie is the best defending short-stop of all time. Contrary to popular view, defense should be a consideration in passage voting.

But don't worry, Trammell will be paid it eventually. If he was as moral with the leather as the Wizard be, he'd be in already. That's not to articulate Trammell was a clod out nearby. he was a nouns defensive player. But Ozzie is the best ever.
