Do you denote like a revolutionary helpful of guy? There really isnt one guy in the majors that stands out because of the crazy things he does or wear. A rod would probably the closest thing to this because within the last few years he have really opened up and become chance. Darn, I like my previous answer when I didn't know the specifics = D Anyway, Jeter is the obvious answer, although one of the younger adjectives stars could be the type of player that gains a ton of fanfare as his craft progresses. Such as a David Wright or Grady Sizemore.

Question:wow, jays beat them 13-2, they get owned, i mean 5-3 is one article but 13-2...anyway, i was pretty glowing to see the jays perform and the phillies pitching be crap, im sure they have better pitchers who wont consent to us score(like yesterday?..didnt see the game). Not trying to piss any fans rotten, just for a time excited. That was a dutiful game.

Yeah, they played close to crap. (I am a phillies fan) however, what place and what is the record of the Blue Jays? Moyer have one of the worst outings of his carear and the hitting wasn't there. There is a idea that the season consists of 162 games and not just 1. There isn't any actual differnce between a 1 run loss and a 11 though when it really comes down to it, they both only count as one loss.

When be baseball players allowed to choose their own jersey numbers?
Question:I heard that players numbers used to be their bat position...Ruth #3...gehrig #4...etc. Was this only for the Yankees or for most team? Was this just tradition or be it an MLB rule? When were players allowed to chose any number?

I hold no idea on this one and don't want to look it up. But when players started getting rewarded to play would be my guess. Baseball players have other been disreputably superstitious and I would think that players starting demanding secure numbers for "luck" and as they switched teams or switched proclaim the numbering system grew out of demand for everyone wanting alike number. So if you were number 3 and I purely joined the squad I might ask for number 30 instead. But like anything else surrounded by MLB, it most likely started because of money - to take a player and keep a player you have to comprise on uniform numbers.

Yeah it use to be in the past baseball went adjectives commercial and stuff but still a great game.
There really be no set period. Most team assigned players their numbers and it gradually faded out as time go.
Players also were especially superstitious in those days and kept their minor league number when the come up to the bigs.

When a reliever comes into the hobby.?
Question:When a pitcher comes into the game as a reliever, what does it imply if a pitcher has so oodles holds?
for example:
Innings pitched- 16 2/3
save opt.- 5/6
Holds- 3
strikes/BB- 16/8
ERA- .123
i know that my numbers prob. dont trade name any sense...but its just an expamle, so you read between the lines what im asking.

A Hold is a fairly up to date statistic that was created to evaluated a reliever worth, just similar to saves to a closer. Basically it manner the pitcher ability to hold the team's head, and it will be awarded only if:
1 - The pitcher enter the game within a save situation
2 - The pitcher store at least one out
3 - The pitcher doesn't pitch the closing out
4 - When the pitcher leaves the game, his squad still is leading the team game
Note that a pitcher can either text a win, a save or a hold (or none of them obviously). Due to Holds are a most recent statistic, it is built to be more target, because unlike Wins, a Hold is still awarded to the pitcher either the troop losses its lead after that in the team game due to inefficiency of subsequents pitcher.
A hold is when a pitcher leaves the game next to his team still contained by the lead, given they have a lead.
