How can I become a better pitcher?
Answers:
You don't state your age, so w/o knowing if you're throwing breaking balls nonetheless, I would rec. Throwing the 1st pitch for a strike, keep it low, evolution your speed(Keep 'em guessing) don't nibble too much, remember even the best MLB hitters kind out approx. 6.5 times out of every ten at bats. Don't respect the hitter, the plate is yours, throw to the glove, and if adjectives else fails, show some wildness. Don't ever agree to batters procure too comfortable in the box.
practice make perfect
PRACTICE, PRACTICE, AND MORE PRACTICE! Practice is what will craft you to the best of your abilities, who care if your still not the best, at least your the best to yourself! Good Luck! Don't overdo it!!
throw strikes
metamorphose speed
the best pitch is strike one
the hardest ball to hit is a low change-up specifically thrown after a fastball
practice more, get someone to "catch" for you, and pitch to them 40 pitches 2 times a week, close to monday and thursday or something.
that will help you profoundly.
Don't try to throw hard. A honest fastball is like a moral golf swing, in that, it clutch correct muscle memory and if you try too hard you will be offtarget and the globe will not go as far. You could even hurt yourself. Just repeat a comfortable throwing motion. If you are younger afterwards 17 do not try to throw braking pitches. I say even skulk until age 20. Also a lot of virtuous breaking pitches come from goos fastball mechanics. If you hav a good fastball it will relieve your slider in ways you probably can not conjure. Good luck, keep practicing. Remember, the most imporant segment of pitching mechanics is being competent to repeat the same throwing motion near out geting hurt. If you feel strain - stop. It should surface almost effortless when done correctly.
Checking daily status of archived Yahoo Sports leagues?
Question:Yahoo sports has some archived material for previous yahoo sports leagues. I love this feature. I would love even more to be able to view an archive over the year. For example, my Rotiserie Baseball league last year. I would love to see monthly, or daily standings throughout the year. I tried to utilize a 3rd party Archive (http://www.archive.org/index.php),... however i have had no luck. The real motivation behind this is a dispute over how the standings actually were throughout the year. I appreciate any help anyone could provide.

So you want to know where you stood in the standings on June 4th 2004 - or something like that? You really should consider getting another hobby if that is your big issue of the day.
Why do MLB players revulsion interleague play?
Question:I don't see how its different than a regular baseball game except for the DH for the A.L.?
Answers:
Because they are whiny pusss lots
Because the AL is better than the NL. Duh
The DH would be big. Also if you don't play other teams as much the scouting wouldn't be as well-mannered. They probably seem similar to pretty pointless games to the players, I guess they count in the standings but I don't know how they integer em in.
I don't assume that they hate it at adjectives. Where do you get that?
Because some division rivals return with a easier schedule while they play the top team of the opposite league.
because team would rather play other team within their own league, because those are theams they are race against to get to the postseason. Getting a win within interleague play doesn't automatically make another squad, within within your own league, farther away from you in the quarrel for the playoffs. Also, because some teams enjoy to play more difficult teams surrounded by the other league than other teams do.
Because if 2 team are in the squally card race, and one played the Red Sox, Tigers, and Indians contained by interleague, and the other played the Royals, Rangers, and Devil Rays, the second team will hold a huge advantage
If they do antipathy it at all, it's because the AL is so much stronger...With the Dh rule contained by the AL, The AL has a true 9th hitter, while the NL's 'DH' is typically a weak- hitting middle infielder.
mostly, interleague play take away the "special" aspect of the World Series.
If the batter swings at a manic pitch and it become a home run, is it still a valid home run?
Question:If a pitcher throws a wild pitch, but the batter establish to swing at it anyways after the ball touched the ground (suppose it bounce final up), and becomes a homerun, it is still a homerun or the umpire should rule it as a undomesticated pitch Ball
Answers:
Yes it would be valid. Its no different than if the batter were to swing and miss at the pitch and it person called a strike. Its up to the batter if he wishes to donate at the poorly thrown pitch, if he does decide to swing the consequences are like as if the pitch had reach his bat in the atmosphere.
Interestingly, there is a video out in that somewhere of Ichiro Suzuki hitting a pitch that bounced prior to reaching the plate some years back while he be still playing in Japan. Sorry I couldnt locate the interconnect.
It is considered a home run, I believe. It is only considered a unrepressed pitch, if it gets away from catcher, and it be not the fault of the catcher.
Yes it is valid. A uncultivated pitch is like a fumble within football, it can be detrimental or beneficial to the team that lost it.
If the batter get the bat on the ball, it wasn't a frantic pitch no matter how far out of the strike zone it be. If the batter swings at a wild pitch as the third strike, he can try to label it to first before the catcher can retrieve the globe and try to throw him out.
If the batter swings and hits the ball it is not considered a out of control pitch. Even if it hits the ground. So it would be a home run.
Same way if the pitch hits the ground and the batter swings and misses it, it is a strike and not a blustery pitch.
Though typically, a ball that hits the ground does not enjoy the velocity left to be hit out of the park for a home run.
Yes it is a Home Run,..but I wonder if you intended to ask if the batter swings and hits HR during an intentional walk...it would still be a HR, by the road.
I don't think that is to say even possible to hit a HR off of a bubble that bounces first, but let's say it is for the sake of argument: it wouldn't be ruled a extreme pitch unless the ball pass the catcher and the runners on base are allowed to credit easily. If the orb touches the ground before reaching the catcher, is not hit by the batter, is not handle by the catcher, and the runner(s) advance, later it would be ruled a WP.
yes
supposedly Yogi Berra once hit a homer on a pitch that bounced first.
By definition, a wild pitch is one that get by the catcher, does not hit the batter, and there is no error on the catcher's part of a set.
A passed ball is a orb that gets by the catcher, does not hit the batter and is charged as a mistake to the catcher.
So, if the pitcher hits the globe, whatever he accomplish, the pitch is not a "wild pitch", it is a bat ball and must be score as such. The home run counts if the batter was within the batter's box at the time he struck it.
Wild pitch is only a crazy pitch if it gets away from the catcher and near is a runner on base. It would be a valid homer. I've see Vladimir Guerrero do this twice since he's been beside the Angels. The first one went going on for 430 feet over the center area fence. Sick!
The pitch ain't so abandoned if you can get satisfactory bat on it to whack it over the fence...
"Wild Pitch" and "Passed Ball" are not properly ruled until a few seconds after that.
You answered your own question: "... and it become a home run."
I'm still trying to figure out why some inhabitants even entertain the notion that a pitch that touches the ground become dead.
