BaseBall Questions and Answers

Frank Thomas or Alex Rodriguez- who would be a better clean-up hitter?

Question:If you were to pick any player for a clean-up hitter, which would you choose and why? I would choose Thomas because he doesn't slump like Alex Rodriguez and hits 30 or so home runs every season (Rodriguez solitary hit about 20 ending year).

So, I need some opinion. Rodriguez or thomas?
Answers:

So wait, you chose Frank Thomas because quote " because he doesn't slump resembling Alex Rodriguez and hits 30 or so home runs every season (Rodriguez only hit in the order of 20 last year)."

Dude, draw from your facts straight..he hit 35 and 121 last year. You hit that, and they will put you contained by the Hall. BUt he was criticized for have an off year, lol. Off year 35 and 121.
Wait check this out:
Career stats:
Alex - 306. BA, 2100 hits, 476 HR, 1400 RBIs, 1400 runs, 250 SB. 31 years out-of-date

Frank - .304BA, 2300 hits, 489 HR, 1600 RBIs, 1400 runs, 30 SB 39 years old

Whats funny is adjectives I had to influence was Alex Rodriguez and it shouldn't even require an explanation, a short time ago turn on the TV.
Hmm.. I would chose Thomas too, he is a more consistent hitter then Rodriguez, and he is the one and only good hitter besides Wells on his troop, Rodriguez has to compete beside Jeter and Giambi.
I'm going with Thomas also. He is consistent unlike A-rod. A-rod also have his teammates to back him up. Think just about it. Without all of those empire that batted past him in the ninth today, he wouldn't enjoy had the destiny to hit the homerun. Credit his teammates
it's not even close, i'd take a-rod...he's deeply younger, plays defense unlike thomas, hits for a better average, and as a side note have a lot more speed when he does take on the basepaths

thomas is a very biddable home-run hitter, but has trouble doing much of anything else

also, a-rod hit 29 home runs or so final season if i'm not mistaken, which is a lot closer to 30 than 20
Frank Thomas He's a Stronger Clean Up Hitter next A Rod.
id choose thomas because hes more consistent than mr. slumping a-rod who tend to not hit anything when hes on his period
however, above thomas ego choose ortiz or pujols as cleanup, ortiz is seriously pure power and pujols is power and average (on top of that pujols is consistent in power and average, adjectives his seasons from rookie-present are near .300 average or above and at least 30 homers)
A-Rod of NYY is better than Thomas of OAK any afternoon.
A ROD!
Actually A-Rod hit 35 homers last year, but I'd still a bit have Thomas as my cleanup hitter, not because hes more of a clutch hitter or anyhting resembling that, but because I would rather hold A-Rod batting 3rd and coming to the plate surrounded by the first inning every game. Also that'll grasp him 50-60 more at bats within a season.
A-Rod for this year because he wants a elevate this year. So he will actually try to play the activity. We should pay him by the year or better pay packet him only when he hits! He'll never enjoy cold streak again I gurantee it.
Alex Rodriguez!! GO YANKEES!!
Alex is one of the best hitters in the activity right now, and perchance ever (no I am not a Yankee fan. I hatred the Yankees). Frank Thomas at this point is too old to even be considered.

Ozzie of Guillen is running his mouth again this weekend! Entertaining or obnoxious?

Question:I personally consider it is entertaining! BAseball needs guys similar to him! All other managers and executives are lame. Nothing but politics and BS comes from out of their mouths. Agree or disagree?
Answers:

Are you chitchat about his blow-up on Mike North for examination his lineup? I think Ozzie requests to listen less to the morons on sports-talk radio...but I agree that a commissioner with some person makes things more interesting. Being a White Sox devotee, it can get a short time embarrassing at times have his foot in his mouth on a regular proof, but the lack of a 'PC' attitude is in actual fact refreshing in this daylight and age.
Guillen is a pain contained by the butt. I am glad that his team is contained by third place.
Ozzie isn't afraid to speak his mind in a sport where on earth most hide within the trainer's room before and after games to avoid the medium. Ozzie is old-school and knows that he wishes the media as much as the medium needs him..so he comes up beside some great stuff.
That was adjectives because on idiot no one listen to in the morning is trying to gross a name for himself. "Ozzie of Guillen" should help yourself to Mike North out back and inculcate him a lesson.
Ozzie is obnoxious for sure. I mean if he wishes to be accepted as a professional, he should accomplishment like one, NOT approaching a spoiled brat who doesn't get his path and then tantrums. He really is shameful to watch and/or listen to.

Chow!!

Baseball developed over time, based on a few different games, including cricket.

As it developed, it go west with the settlers,. Given the amount of ground needed to play a game, it be a natural fit next to the open spaces that be perceived by them.

Variations of the game be played across what is now the US, including variation between the game as it be played in the cities and as it be played in more rural areas.

In the 1830's, Alexander Cartwright begin to codify the rules, as they were self used in the ebb and flow know as city ball. These codified rules be soon adopted throughout the country, although to this morning, there are still local variation depending on local conditions.

Baseball bears little resemblance in a minute to any of it's sources. You would greatly appreciate adjectives 10 innings of Ken Burn's Baseball, and you'd have this query more than answered.
Baseball was invenetd surrounded by the early 1800s, it developed from a team game called Rounders, 4, yes 4 basis. It is said that a new text was invented surrounded by Cooperstown N.Y by a soldier named Abner Doubleday. It be also said in a period of war, I forgot which, soldiers played baseball using theyre guns as bats.
i know adjectives about this! first of adjectives abner doubleday did not invent baseball. that was a story his friend told to gain attention. it was created by no single creature but here are some main contributors to the team game. henry chadwick, alexander cartwright, candy cummings(inventor og the curveball), al spalding. a;so the first baseball bats be made of axe or broom handles not guns. it be invented in 1837. the first troop wa sthe new york knickerbockers baseball club. the other guy be right saying that the winter sport derived from rounders.
Janus, the answer to your question is too elaborate and complicated to answer here.

I suggest that you "google" to Wikipedia and look up the answer to the history of baseball.
It is from a children's game call rounders.
all i no is that it's american
I used to live doing a tour which turned into Main St. of Cooperstown, NY...the popular consensus is that it the first game be played in Cooperstown...however there's debate that the first spectator sport was in actual fact played in a neighboring town call Fly Creek...I'm not sure weather there's conclusive evidence supporting those claims or not. But I always thought it be quite interesting. I've see several instances where ethnic group almost came to blows over it. Cooperstown is a nice Americana looking town; but the ethnic group there are WEIRD. Living near almost killed my love for baseball. I'm glad I get out while I could.
Abner Doubleday was the commanding officer at Fort Sumter within Charleston harbor at the start of the Civil War.
Baseball is not derived from Cricket at all it comes from a activity called rounders.
i know this 1 it be charles ingals on little house on the prairie in a town they used to give the name walnut grove . lol
It was derived from a hobby called rounders...

Where can you look up baseball card values short paying for a book online?

Answers:

Unfortunately, almost all of the best sites - Beckett, Tuff Stuff, Sports Collector's Digest - are compensated sites. However, Tuff Stuff does offer free online pricing for what they possession "less active" sets, which covers everything not included surrounded by their monthly publication. You can check them out here, and they come in PDF format:

http://www.tuffstuff.com/default.aspx?ta...

There's also a site call "The Pit" that operates similar to a stock souk ticker, showing real-time pricing for cards, but their selection is pretty constrained. If you've got a bunch of cards from different years - and especially if they're elder - I'd suggest just checking the Beckett annual guide out from your local library.
when u bring the answer let me know because i hold a lot of basketball cards that i want to know the helpfulness of.
