Barry Bonds Legacy?
Question:What do you think barry bonds birthright will be (not should be)?
keep surrounded by mind that even though he may have cheated, he's no exception, thing of fact he's far from it, also do you presume he's the best baseball player of this generation?
One more Bonus thought, how abundant homeruns did Hank Aaron, Babe Ruth, and Willy Mays hit off of pitchers who used steroids?
Answers:
To me, Barry Bonds will other be the five tool threat he was beside the Pittsburgh Pirates. I do not believe in "guilty until proven innocent", so I will not bash him. The bequest? Barry Bonds is the greatest player of his generation, steroids or not.
Barry Bonds will never be identified as the best becuase of the steriods questions and you adjectives know it..
not worth mentioning
I think over time he will be forgiven because it seem like alot more players are going to start getting stalled in the "steroid cloud". How copious pitchers were using steroids will come surrounded by to play. It will be known as the era next to small stadiums and roids sort of like the pre jackie robinson era. players werent really fault for playing in an adjectives white league.
The drug issue will damage his lagacy.
His heritage will be that of a cheater! At least when Pete Rose broke the hit copy he did it legitimately! Ken Griffey Jr. hit his 573 Home Run last dark tying him for 8th place on the all time detail and I KNOW he did it honestly! Pretty evident looking at him! Out of adjectives the home run hitters in this era Jr. is the with the sole purpose one without steroid question asked about him!
I come up with his legacy will be dirtied, but less so if he make an admission of what he used and when. Since most supplements be allowed, he's got nil to lose and everything to gain. He was a accurate player who might well enjoy approached or even broken Aaron's record regardless. If he continues the questionable denials, his reputation will suffer, and near will be controversy regarding any paperwork he holds.
As you point out, others have tested positive or made after that admissions. There's a risk that baseball itself will be see as a "tainted" sport, with most chronicles from the 80s on viewed beside suspicion.
Witness the cloud of suspicion that Lance Armstrong has come underneath as more and more cyclists are "outed" as users of performance-enhancing drugs. What might save Armstrong is surviving cancer (it's too apt a story to throw away entirely). Bonds doesn't have that "luxury."
Among those who love the activity Bonds will always be a pariah and his coup will be a Pyrrhic one
The tragedy of Bonds is that he didn't need steroids to procure in the Hall of Fame and presently because he used them he will never get contained by.
Deceit is not a legacy. Being a lousy friend (ask Greg Anderson, once you've signed the visitor's log, of course) is not a birthright. Arrogance is not a legacy.
Anabolic steroids be developed in the early1970's, and that be for legitimate medical use. Ruth and Mays never encounter anyone using them, and Aaron retired after the '76 season, so he and his contemporaries would have have little or no exposure to them either. Get your facts straight so that you avoid sullying other people's reputations inthe adjectives..
Sigh another thread on Bonds -- steroids -- and his legacy.
Bonds is a great player no concern what, take away 200 homers due to steroid use...fine, he's still the lone player with 500 homers and 500 steals for a trade (he already is the only player near 400-400). Let's go through some points in the order of steroids...
1. Steroids help you hit the bubble farther, fine -- yes, all angelic and dandy -- but it doesn't help you hit the damn globe. Only talent can help you counter and make contact beside a pitch and hit it just right to draw from a solid hit.
2. Steroids have be around since the early 1920s, what's to vote no one backbone then used them. (Someone more rapidly said Griffey's 573rd homer was without a flaw legit because "HE KNOWS" Griffey didn't take them)
3. Players used steroids to relieve them recover from injuries faster, once they be banned players couldn't rest fast satisfactory...look at Jeff Bagwell, since steroids were barred he never recovered from his shoulder injury.
4. Players left and right tested positive for steroids (Juan Rincon, Alex Sanchez, Rafael Palmeiro), the spotlight be on them for 2 days at most then suddenly rear legs to Bonds, who, according to Bud Selig has never inferior a random drug try-out.
5. Ok fine, Bonds admitted to using the cream and clear, but so own other players and yet Bonds seem to be the one everyone blames for it -- like it be because of Bonds all these other players took them...GO MEDIA!!
6. Bonds is one of the greatest players of our social group and should be embraced. Steroids or not you won't see masses players hitting 755 homers (maybe ARod and Pujols), but it is a rare spectacular act and should not be shunned.
Barry's legacy will be that of a cheater. The public outside of San Francisco believes he cheated, and whether he if truth be told did or not isn't the issue. The public rarely let go of its perception.
As far as the pitchers, I'm not convinced roided up pitchers were competent to throw up better numbers. Billy Wagner is about 170 soaking damp and he runs it up there pretty perfect. His 100 mph fastball is not as common, but he still slings it. Did he use dramatization enhancing drugs? No one has made that contention. Look, articulate a pitcher does juice up and it add 5-10 mph to his fastball. It won't help his curve break more. It won't keep hold of his slider under control. We've adjectives seen that an 85 mph fastball can go and get guys out for a guy like Jamie Moyer. And we've adjectives seen 98 mph fastballs step over the fence. Steroids may bring in a guy a harder thrower, but I don't think it make him a better pitcher. On the other hand, 5-10 mph of extra batspeed can turn warning track power into Sammy Sosa.
And besides, let's assume adjectives of the pitchers were juiced up, too. It doesn't create Barry right. It doesn't mean the transcription is legit. It just finances the pitchers are as bad as Barry. And that's pretty impossible.
His legacy can be summed up within one word..."Cheater".
Were Dwight and Doc Gooden related to respectively other?

They are the same individual.

Who care give or take a few Barry Bonds!!?
Question:Ok i'm a huge Padres fan and they enjoy gotten off to a apposite 2-0 start beating the Giants. And final nights spectator sport was a great come from astern victory for the Pads. So why is it that every internet/news medium sports station reports "Barry hits a homerun, to pull withen 20 of Aaron"? Who care what that juiced up idot does. I am quickly realize that this is turning into a raunt, much less a question...so then i ask you what are your thoughts, is Bonds breaking the homerun narrative that big of a deal? Will anyone even honor him breaking it?
Answers:
Hank Aaron be the home run king when I grew up, he's been for my entire go, and he always will be, regardless of what Barry Balco does.
The singular person who care if Barry breaks this record is Willie Mays.
And reasonably frankly... I still think Babe Ruth be the most dominant power hitter of all time, regardless of Aaron.
Aaron played something resembling 5 years longer and had a ton more at bat. If the Babe had played that long, he'd hold probably crushed 1,000 longballs. Especially if he played against the bum pitchers teams trot out in that in those tiny little ballparks in our time.
Ruth could hit 100 a year against modern pitching.
I couldnt agree with you more. Your surrounded by San Diego, I'm in New York and it seem that everywhere in between, everyone hate Bonds except for the idiots in San Fran who worship him.
i don't concern about him any and i hope he dosen't break Hank aaron's record, and i REALLy hope he won't grasp into the hall of esteem becasue he is a freakin cheater. i mean hank aaron hit 7 hundred and anything home runs with NATURAL ABILITY
To even ask the cross-examine points out that he is an important numeral that means alot to the world of sports. I am in truth someone not against him. That doesn't mean I similar to Bonds, but I see no reason to only single out him when the problem was league far-reaching. The pitchers who were pitching the homeruns be juiced too. The final result will be a new Homerun king near no asterik next to the number. People will only just remember that he played in the Steroid Era and respectively will make their own interpretations. I am newly enjoying watching probably one of the top 3 players ever finish out his profession while he still plays. Even way up to that time the monster HR year he was a tremendous 40-40 player.
Also, if the Padres be 10-0 that would maybe be a story, but 2-0 is zero special yet. Do society write stories on teams surrounded by the middle of the season on 2 game ahead streaks?
I hope he breaks it. I am going to enjoy listen to all you anti-democracy folks cry give or take a few it.
I can't stand him.
Since he is guilty of juicing.
I have lost adjectives respect for him.
He is also not fan friendly at adjectives.
I'm a huge Giants fan but consider that the Padres and not the Dodgers will win the West. Just statistically and truthfully speaking..
Anyways, I still care going on for Barry and his quest to break the record. Come to expect of it, he may step down after breaking it and making the negative thinking culture happy.. Has anyone analyzed it within that manner? No more Barry after the diary??? Now, who will they badmouth and accuse of having a bet or steroids???
I'll honor it because i've watched Willie Mays, Bobby Bonds, Bobby Bonds Jr., and presently Barry all within person. Their gene pool is amazing and they complete at a level above a typical player. I don't think it be steroids because the proof is absent, he is big but not defined or cut, he stays injured and does not recuperate quick and no assessment showed positive for steroids.
it is what is
Who are MLB's best sinkerball pitchers?
Question:I'm looking for pitchers that produce lots of ground outs. Also, is there a place that might hold a ground ball per at bat ratio?
Answers:
The two best sinker ballers are Brandon Webb and Wang. Webb however have the MLB's best sinker ball. As biddable as Wang was, it be only for one season. Webb have pitched 200 or more innings each of the second 3 years.
The categories I consistency show how good a pitcher really is are WHIP, ERA, BAA, and K/BB. Last year and every year until that time Webb beats Wang contained by each of these category. Here are their stats from last year. Webb have a 1.13 WHIP, a 3.10 ERA, a .246 BAA, and a K/BB ratio of 3.56. Wang on the other hand have a 1.31 WHIP, a 3.63 ERA, a .277 BAA, and a 1.46 K/BB ratio.
So that clearly shows Webb is the better pitcher of the two. Last year Wang led the MLB beside 407 Ground Outs to Webb's 400. This however is misleading as to who is the better sinkerballer as Webb was the trouble-free leader surrounded by the ratio of Ground Outs to Fly Outs with a ratio of 3.64. Wang's be only 2.84.
Other apt sinker ballers include Colorado's Aaron Cook and the Dodger's Derek Lowe.
There are no websites that have a ground orb per at bat ratio, but to figure it out use the following formula: multiply the # of innings pitched by 3, supply the # of hits, and add the # of walk. Next, find the # ground outs and divide it by the # you find above. That should give you the ground orb per at bat ratio.
I hope this answered your question...
Chien Ming Wang. He won 19 games and individual had 76 strikeouts. He have a great sinker.
Chien Ming Wang and Webb. They both are very influential.
"One pitch. It is arguably the filthiest pitch in baseball. Brandon Webb's devastating sinker dives approaching a swimmer off a elevated board."
"His sinker is the best in baseball, spell," says Giants catcher Mike Matheny. "It's so angelic, he could probably get by an entire hobby just throwing that pitch. It's that suitable."
Says Cubs pitcher Greg Maddux, "Webb's sinker definitely is one of the best. He get lots of grounders, and [Bank One Ballpark] is a tough park to pitch in."
"His sinker is sick," say Twins center fielder Torii Hunter. "Good luck."
I give the boundary to Webb. He pitches in a league be the 7,8,and 9 hitters are complete jokes.
Wang a close second considering the competition he face.
I think wang and rivera of the yankees are the best sinkerball pitchers contained by mlb right now
uhh i would own to say brandon webb
Chien Ming Wang
Wang get more double play balls than anyone within the league.
He throws very few pitches a team game which will give him a long art.
Love bestasport's answer. ove a dude who does his homework.
And, gotta agree with him.Brandon Webb is the best today.
However, the best ever may be Dan Quisenberry. Look him up...
I believe that the Wang/Webb comparsions are very polite. Webb is different because he has a big curveball along next to a changeup. He is also capable of striking guys out, as he fan 178 last year. He have a GREAT sinker, but he also has other pitches to rely on if it's given up the ghost.
Wang on the other hand, throws almost adjectives sinkers, and isn't bad for a pitcher who single learned the pitch contained by 2004. In 218 inning last year, he struck out one and only 76 batters within winning his 19 games. Wang throws 91-96, probably the hardest sinker contained by the game. He desires batters to trademark contact. So it's hard to articulate that there is any sinker that's better than his, especially since he does it surrounded by the American League. I would say Wang and Webb are the best, but who know who's better?
I really don't put too much stock in the WHIP here. First in that is the obvious difference between the league because of the DH, and because Wang throws more sinkers, obviously he is going to confer up more base hits. Another stat: Webb's 15 HR allowed surrounded by 235 innings was amazing. But surrounded by the A.L. Wang gave up 12 contained by 218 innings where nearby is no pitcher batting and he face players like David Ortiz, Frank Thomas, Jim Thome, and Travis Hafner. It's pretty much a dust.
Carlos Silva used to be a good one.after last year he started throwing an 83 mph flat fastball claiming it be a sinker, heh.
