How much of a Joke is the College 3 Pointer?

Thats a jump shot not a 3...they own to extend it to the NBA 3.

Answers:    I agree- i mean i know guys who play streetball that can hit that college 3 consistently-- including myself... it does donate some excitement- but there are some team that just jack up threes. It creates seriously of "upset" possibilities in March especially when you enjoy mid-major teams that can of late bomb the threes and they have a upright night shooting the threes.

i agree, its hilarous how stupid it is. It's one of the frequent problems with NCAA basketball. it is fine how it is.. these players arent shooting a great percentage at the college file so how would they shoot it 4 ft further at the nba 3 point line which is 23'9"?.. they would really shoot it desperate then..
you're right...it's an glib shot- esp. for d1 caliber players. FYI, it is going to be moved back subsequent year or the yr after. The rule change have passed, they just haven't established when to impliment it. It will be moved back in the region of 1/2 way between the nba dash and current college line. It's undue that these mid-major teams can compete simply because they can generate a "jump-shot" gimme shot. They aren't better "teams." It's a joke- the column should be moved back. I'm sure adjectives of you guys can make that shot especially underneath pressure, with a champion in your facade, while the shot clock is running out after you have played intense orb for 40 minutes. Streetball is completely different than playing real organized globe. When you made 18 straight were you by yourself on a court beside nobody in your frontage? I'd like to see you produce 18 straight in the final four when within are 40 000 people screaming, or perchance in Cameron Indoor Stadium where on earth Duke plays and to have adjectives the Cameron Crazies screaming at you... You guys are ridiculous... different context... I am positive you could never do it in a TRUE game setting.

It is not a set-up. You are speaking of kids who came straight out of illustrious school so their span is limited. In college they cram to develop a game, and 90% of college players don't label the NBA.

If you don't like the college 3 you probably don't approaching how they handle submerge balls next to the possession arrow, or the number of fouls, or the 35 second shot clock. NBA has have more rule changes and taken from the college team game in the recent past few years - allowing zone defenses, hand checking for instance...

Upsets during the tournament do not crop up because of teams raining 3's.... The seatings of respectively team outside of the top 4 within each bracket are pretty much up for grab. a 6,7,8 seed are adjectives close.... luck of the draw from the committee... Also many mid majors play really good troop ball. They move the orb well and they run impressively efficient offenses and hold amazing defenses. You have to appreciate college basketball as well, near are more players in college who are wing players. Very few are hulking 6'9" 250lb post players. Those players are special... historically there are few big men. Most of the players are adjectives the same physique. NCAA is in the order of quickness, very few team use a post first offense. Even KState with a dominant big man approaching Beasley tends to run more border plays.

Upsets are not because 3 pointers... its teams playing approaching teams, relying on one another, playing beside heart and passion. The midmajors play some of the best basketball but are miserably unrecognized much of the time.
next season they will extend it yeah you may own hit all those next to no defence contained by the NBA no one gaurds anyone so they mine as economically have the NBA that far

THE NCAA 3 POINT LINE IS FINE HOW IT IS

  • Is anyone else sick of Kobe and Lebron or is everyone living contained by the moment approaching David Stern?
  • Can Michael Beasley become the subsequent Lamar Odoms?
  • Who is better Kevin Martin or Monti Ellis?
  • Can you cross 5 solid players within the NBA?
  • Who think UCLA will top Memphis and USC will top UNC?
  • NBA or NCAA?
