BasketBall Questions and Answers

I hear that near be a couple of suspensions between the spurs and the suns?

Question:Who were the players that are suspended and why did they obtain suspended. I think boris diaw be one of them but I'm not sure. I hope they didn't suspend them just because they did a complex foul on accident. (like they other do) I like the nba, but sometimes they trademark suspensions for stupid reasons.

PHOENIX (AP) -- Rules are rules, the NBA say, fair or not.

So the Phoenix Suns will frontage the San Antonio Spurs without Amare Stoudemire and Boris Diaw on Wednesday hours of darkness in Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals.

The two are serving a one-game suspension for disappearing the bench area following the flagrant foul by San Antonio's Robert Horry on Steve Nash surrounded by the waning second of Monday night's Game 4.

Horry gets a two-game suspension for what Nash call "a quality hip-check" and for a forearm to Raja Bell contained by the subsequent scrum.

The Spurs probably can do without Horry, a role player specified heretofore for his clutch 3-point shooting. The Suns, however, will sorely miss Stoudemire, a first-team all-NBA selection and their primary scorer and rebounder in the series.

To product matters worse for Phoenix, Diaw would own been the starter surrounded by Stoudemire's absence.

"It is not a situation of fairness, it's a matter of correctness," said Stu Jackson, NBA executive vice president, "and this is the right ruling at this point of time."

The suspensions deflated what was one of the Suns' most brilliant triumphs in the three season since Nash came to Phoenix. The Suns outscored the Spurs 16-3 down the stretch within San Antonio to win 104-98 and square the best-of-seven series at two games apiece.

But with 18 second left, as Nash dribbled along the sideline, Horry connected beside his hip and shoulder, sending the Suns' playmaker into the scorer's table. Stoudemire and Diaw made a move toward the scene, but were pushed wager on by Phoenix's coaches.

Suns owner Robert Sarver said it was "unbelievable" that his squad would end up paying a complex price for the incident than San Antonio would, especially since Stoudemire and Diaw didn't come close to any contact with the Spurs.

"The mode this worked out for us was I believe extremely undeserved," Sarver said. "As an owner next year, that will be the first entry on my agenda -- to see how that rule is applied, because the team that plays dirty should not be rewarded and the troop that plays fair should not be penalize."

Unless the rule is changed, the NBA has no choice, Jackson said.

"We don't want to be within a position where we're determining the outcome of a series," Jackson said during a conference hail as. "However, we always own to be in the position of enforce the rule, and this rule is clear. It's a bright line. Historically, if you break it you bring suspended regardless of what the circumstances are."

Stoudemire is averaging 23.5 points and 10.3 rebounds contained by the series. His loss removes the Suns' imposing inside presence. Phoenix's problems are compounded by the malingering of Diaw, who started when Stoudemire missed all but three games closing season because of surgeries on both knees.

Horry, meanwhile, has score 4.8 points per game.

"I quality like I've in recent times been punched within the gut," Sarver said, "and I feel fruitless for our players. But having said that, we hold been prearranged to come back from want. I think this would classify as poverty."

Jackson said it was clear that Stoudemire and Diaw have violated the rule, saying they be "20 to 25 feet" from their seats.

"Both players stood and made their passageway towards the altercation which occurred on the court," Jackson said. "They did not remain within the bench area."

Jackson brushed aside a suggestion that Tim Duncan violated the rule within the second quarter when he rushed onto the court after Francisco Elson dunked and landed on the shoulders of the Suns' James Jones.

"Both players get up," Jackson said. "There was no altercation, and they run down to the other end of the court."

Jackson also wasn't buying Stoudemire's contention he have a right to be at the scorer's table because he was checking surrounded by to the game.

"I've not see a player report in slightly that way," Jackson said.

The suspensions are the most modern twist contained by an intriguing series that's featured several rough plays.

Nash have received the brunt of it -- a gash in the trunk in Game 1, a see in the groin surrounded by Game 3. Now a hockey-style check into the scorer's table.

But Spurs coach Gregg Popovich didn't even think Horry's foul on Nash be that bad.

"It be just an end-of-game foul and Steve fell down," Popovich said until that time the penalties be announced. "I didn't think it be such a big deal."
Yah, total bullcrap.

Duncan and Bowen should hold been suspended. Instead, Horry get 2 games, and Stoudemire and Diaw got 1 activity each.

The NBA is a circus near no tent. Complete disarray.
Spurs - Robert Horry (2 games) one for a hip check (flagrant foul) to Steve Nash and the other for rasing his forearm to Raja Bells neck.

Suns - B. Diaw & A. Stoudemire (1 team game each) Leaving the bench after the Steve Nash foul
horry - 2 games for shoving nash
Diaw -1 game for disappearing the bench area
Amare - 1 activity for leaving the bench too
Horry get suspended for 2 games for what he did to Nash. Stoudemire and Diaw got suspended for 1 for going away the bench even though they didnt get involved. I muse the suspensions on the Suns was undue and stupid
Diaw and Stoudemire, but not even a hard foul, for disappearing the bench after Horry decided to throw Nash down resembling a rag doll near only 20 second in the winter sport.
let's stay optimistic knowing the suns can see some spurs' ***

Has nearby ever be a time where on earth adjectives of the NBA team from Cali (GS, Sac, LAL & LAC) made the playoffs?

Question:Similar to the teams from Texas (Hou, Dal, SA)
Answers:

Not within recorded history. They might of adjectives been within the playoffs back within the stone age.
Usually if the Kings are rolling the Warriors suck, if the Lakers are doing good the Clips suck. I can't remember seeing adjectives four of them in the playoffs surrounded by one season in my lifetime, and I am pretty feeble.
My favorite playoff series was the one where on earth the Utah Jazz swept the Lakers. I hope the Jazz get adjectives the way to the finals this year. They swept Detroit within the regular season.
no
i don't think so.

There have never been a time when adjectives four Cali teams be in the playoffs. From since the 1985-86 season when the Kings moved from Kansas City to Sacramento. There be never the three teams at one and the same time when the Buffalo Brave became the San Diego Clippers for the 1978-79 season. The San Diego Rockets moved to Houston for the 1971-72 season and have a losing record for adjectives four years of existence in San Diego. When in attendance were solitary two teams, GS and LA made the playoffs within the 1971-72 season.
