Vargas WAS a great combatant. now he cant filch a punch and has a doomed to failure back.
Mosley have lost some of the sting in his punches but is still more within his prime than vargas.

I stated adjectives along on here that Manfredo was not contained by Calzaghe's class. so i'm not surprised at all at the outcome of the row. But it's not a USA thing as you're trying to manufacture it out to be. Manfredo is not ready for any swordfighter on the world-class level, including Hopkins, Taylor, or Wright. Manfredo is a class below adjectives these guys and would suffer the same fatal outcome against any of them. Anyone who knows boxing know the Calzaghe is a damn good soldier. He's unbeaten, a southpaw, has excellent foot speed, and a good chin and heart. He's going to be a tough row for anyone, including Kessler and the fighters that i previously mentioned. But the next logical scrap is Calzaghe-Kessler. It's a fight that have to be made.

I wouldn't phone up Manfredo a snob... but you are right, I do not think even for a moment he can rob Calzaghe. This is a case of too big, too early.
My guess is that they have to do something to make Contender legit... How else than to distribute the winner against the authentic champ?

I dont think that America really know how well brought-up Calzaghe is, and thought that Manfredo would beat him. I don`t know now it will sink within just how dutiful he is, Calzaghe in my judgment is the best fighter ever to come out of the UK.
