The early Ali would overcome the older Clay.

patently Muhammad Ali, his smarts beat younger opponent who were as strong as his younger self.

muhammad ali is a well-mannered cassius clay so i think ali is better.
That is a tough query. I would have to walk with Ali base on his "rope a dope" or whatever it be called technique. The strongest of fighters are useless when they are fatigued.

What is a "slick" boxer?

Answers:

A "SLICK" BOXER IS GOOD DEFENSIVE FIGHTER THAT HAS GOOD FOOT WORK.

A FEW EXAMPLES:

MAYWEATHER
JONES
BENITEZ
ROBINSON
PEP
a good one?
Someone who is in haste with attack and defense resembling Floyd Mayweather Jr. He can hit you fast but if you try to gain him, you'll miss.
A boxer who can hit with exactitude and be able to safeguard himself at the same time. Floyd Mayweather is a really fitting example.
That is a boxer who has mastered the art of landing their punches normally, but not getting hit much back themselves. This would be a boxer who is speedy, and has excellent footwork as resourcefully.
One who can hit without getting hit, Ray Leonard comes to mind, he could be slick when he have to, frustrated the daylights out of the Hagler and Duran. Blogbaba prefers to stand and slug, flicking a jab and running is no road to take a champion title. I never forgave Ray for the Hagler fight, Marvin shouldn't own went out on such a entry, but Ray was awkwardly "slick".

Question:Would the younger, faster version pulsate the older, smarter performance or vise versa?
Answers:

it is impossible to answer, they are the same human being.
A younger self won't beat a smarter self because you already know what you are going to do.
It is similar to strangling yourself to death near your bare hand. it is impossible.
Interesting Question, and to the answer above we all know who would win between a young-looking Mike Tyson and an old one so i reckon you can debate this, i wouldnt like to phone call it on Ali though myself that would be a really tight match up, I would pinch the Clay that fought Liston against the Ali that beat Foreman to be a draw. Sorry for sitting on the obstruction.
THAT'S AN EASY ONE. MUHAMMED ALI...!
WHY, YOU MAY ASK? IF YOU TAKE THE FIRST SIX YEARS
AFTER HE CHANGED HIS NAME, THERE'S LITTLE DOUBT
THAT HE WOULD HAVE BEEN AT HIS PEAK IN SKILL AND
KNOWLEDGE. HOWEVER, UP UNTIL THE NAME CHANGE,
HE HAD RAW ABILITY. HIS KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL WERE
STILL DEVELOPING.
I give it to the younger Ali. When he started the second portion of his career he clearly could not do physically what he have done before. It is true that he be more experienced and possibly wiser, but from what I've seen, he be basically a boxing rare talent even early contained by his career. From the establishment, he found ways to win physically and psychologically. He was also driven more strongly at that time to rear up his claim (we all know what his claim was), and I'm not sure if he could hold been worsted by anyone including an older more experienced but physically substandard version of himself.
Ali won more titles consequently Clay. Granted Clay won the gold decoration, but in another counterbalance division while Ali won the heavyweight title.
clay would have out boxed him ali would enjoy out-smarted him it would have be a draw

Is an uppercut faster than a hook~?

Answers:

I would have to say-so, all things person equal the hook would be faster. Watch the Holyfield/Douglas fight and see what happen when Buster misses his uppercut, the speed of Evander's counter is impressive.
The hook is faster. Because of the shorter distance. The uppercut scale is alot slower and you have to come up beside the hit.
Yes, the uppercut is faster if the arms are closer into the body. The distance traveled is shorter, so the punch is faster.

If the arms are up higher or you are counter punching, the a hook might be faster.
It depends on what type of uppercut your doing. You can do a short uppercut from a close distance and that can be much faster than any hook.
They are equally swift and forceful, it only just depends on where your paw be before you started the punch (at obverse or chest level)
It depends on the distance to the target, and the position of the hands previously throwing the punch. I always thought the hook be easier to throw, and did not leave you as accessible to a counter than the uppercut.
It all depends on who's throwing the Hook or the Uppercut.
I would say aloud a hook is faster. You have to slightly dip your body down to throw an uppercut, using your legs and body weightiness to put power behind it. While you do hold to shift your weight while throwing a hook, you start that punch from a standing position, fairly than having to dip down to bring back leverage on it.
If you miss with an uppercut, it take a lot more time to get hold of the fist back and restabalize yourself.
Throwing a swiftly uppercut or hook depends on the person who's throwing the punch.
However, most family seem to throw quicker hooks.
It would depend on alot of item the fighter nearby style and the distance from the apponent but saying that you'd be silly to throw un uppercut from distance, it leaves you open. The uppercut is a shot best used up close, contained by the clinch throw short uppercut and with converse hand hook. Sweet. Uppercuts the answer.
