A leg-bye is defined in the Laws of cricket by Law 26.2. It is a run score when:
- The ball hits the batsman, unless it also hits his bat (or his hand or gloves);
- The umpire decides that the batsman be making a genuine attempt to hit the bubble or was trying to avoid anyone hit by the ball;
- The confinement is not called a no-ball (in which crust any leg-byes scored are instead added to the mark as no-balls); and
- The runs are scored any by the batsmen running between the wickets or by the ball going to the boundary.
In this skin, the runs are added to the scorecard as leg-byes under extras. They are not credited to the bowler's data and no penalty is given to the field side except for the runs scored contained by the normal method.

As far as omission of Harmison from the England Team is concerned, he have announced his retirement from the One Day Internationals on 21st December, 2006.

If they chalk up a run in this attitude but the ball does not hit the bat it is call a BYE
If they score a run contained by this manner but the globe hits any part of the batsman's body (excluding the bat) consequently its called a LEG BYE
when orb do not have contact next to bat but touches his pad and they do run.

No, and what idiot watches cricket.
No one had expected Canada can win against England. Hence their slaughter was expected. However, they could chalk up 228 runs for the loss of 7 wickets against England, which I consider is a better performance than India did against Bangladesh and Pakistan did against Ireland. Unless opportunity to play against strong teams are given how can weaker team can get the experience of playing lower than pressure. Hence, I do not find anything wrong in including them surrounded by the world cup.

Canada qualified for the WC and enjoy every right to be there. So what if they are the oldest troop there? Someone have to be. And most teams, including England, enjoy players who were not in fact born in the country, so wise saying they are not "real" Canadians is both misinformed and bigoted.
Check the scorecard of the game against England..do you really bid that being "knock around and losing at will"? Any true cricket fan would adopt that they put up a pretty decent display and pushed England as far as they could.

enjoy to agree with an above comment, what a "weird" attitude.
However I can see where on earth you are coming from, you obviously get the impression the development of immature canadian players is hampered by an influx of so-called "foreigners". I Actually don't know much about the composition of the canadian cricket squad but if what you say is true and here is not on single" real" canadian on the cricket team later this is an unfortunate situation. Having a few non natives from established cricketing who have concrete pride in wearing the national team colours can only be benifical to the groth of the activity, however if the team is entirely comprised of non natives does it reallly contribute an incentive to young canadians to play the winter sport. The other way of looking at this is: if they are the best players consequently they deserve to play.
Also remember lots of other countries use players, born in other counries, Englands Ed Joyce is an irishman and within fact played for us as just now as last year.Our Irish squad also contains some foreigners, while there is great pride contained by the fact that "only" four of the squad are not natives of Ireland, I am still 100% proud of the four boys who have fixed us and represent us brilliantly

You always give the impression of being to enjoy the defeat of the teams whether its Pakistan(especialy), india or any other troop ...give it a try and see whether you can bring some glory to your country or to cricket somehow? becuase you know its realy undemanding to point out the weekness but difficult to correct it ! Atleast be supportive to your own team..they did capably , much better than pakistan and India did agaisnt Ireland and Bangladesh !

Well Stephen Fleming must have thought that the wicket of Silva who be playing well throughout the tournament would own charged up his strike bowler Shane Bond.But it was the srilankan skipper who have the last crow when he smashed the air out of Bond within the slog overs.Bond went for 59 runs surrounded by his 10 overs!!
Well,who knows that the final over atrocities by Jayawardene may be out of rage of the poor decision made against them..Moreover the decisions be made by the top 2 umpires surrounded by the contemporary game-Simon Taufel and the experienced Rudi Koertzen.What a shame!!
