If you look around, this will probably be the best world cup ever. Anyone can in actual fact beat respectively other (top 8- India, Australia, Pakistan, England, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Newzealand, South Africa are all so strong). All team have biddable all round team, but unlike ALL the other teams, India lacks a well brought-up allrounder. South Africa has Kallis, Pollock. Australia hold Symonds. Pakistan have Razzaq, Afridi, Malik. England have Collingwood, Flintoff. West Indies has Gayle, Samuels. Sri lanka have Jayasuriya, Arnold (he is back). Newzealand has Oram. But India have no allrounders at all... and Pathan doesn't count as one. I would put my money on South Africa to win this world cup.
This is a tough one. It's going to be even I reckon. Won't be so unforced for Australia or RSA as most people suppose. Remember the conditions are slow and low.
I feel WI, SL, Pak and Ind hold the best chance. For India - Dhoni, Dravid, Pathan are the switch players.
Pak - Afridi, Yousuf and Asif
SL - Jayasuriya, Sangs, Murali
WI - Gayle, Lara and Bravo
Aus - Hussey, Ponting, Gilchrist
RSA - Kallis, Pollock, Kemp
NZ - Oram, Fleming, Vettori
Eng - KP, Collingwood and Monty (nope not Flintoff)

India don't stand a chance! Look at the show of the teams you nominated above. All of them can beat India glibly. South Africa or West Indies, just continue & see.

this WC will be one of the toughest WC as this time I think so adjectives the teams are surrounded by good form as India thump SL but SL don't have murlitharan and vaas. topical zealand and england beat australia but australia be number one team from closing five years. south africa is now the number one squad now. pakistan don't fit players surrounded by SA. west indies beat india 4-1 when India go there and they enjoy the benefits of home grounds. SO I THINK SO ALL TEAMS HAVE CHANCE TO WIN WC.

i remember before the IND/SAF series and PAK/SAF series, how sub continent fan were making big time predictions surrounded by favor of ind/pak.. but see what happened? they cave in front of Nel, Ntini, Pollock and Kallis, simply because they couldnt obverse the short balls, paksitan be a total joke.. guy approaching inzi who is 6 feet plus couldnt even play short ball lol

pakistan hold a chance to win the world cup a bit than india,because their lower order batsman can bat as a better batsman and they enjoy much alrounders than india.

India has a better bat line than Pak. In Pak one and only three players who are sound within batting technique, Inzi, Younus and Yousuf. Rest of the players struggle badly against obedient attack.
India's batting column consists of Ganguly, Sachin, Dravid being back by Yuvraj, Dhoni and likes of Robin.
In bowling also, Pak heavily depends on Akhtar and Asif. India does not enjoy bowlers like Asif and Akhtar but adjectives put together, they look better.
Ofcourse in field Indians are better than Pak, though marginally.
India have a better troop to win CWC2007 but India have retribution full attention on practice & find out their weakness & rearrange it.

Pakistan is the better troop as of now.

1. Mohd. Yousuf is at th top of his career. He is a pivotal player around whom the intact Pakistani batting splash up revolves. Also he is a great player in the slog overs.
You enjoy to rely on Inzi in any situation(specially surrounded by crisis).
Younus Khan has be one of the most prolific run-scorer of last 2 years.
So middle charge is like a rock.
2. For the slog overs they enjoy the most dangerous player within Abdur Razzak who can destroy any bowling attack inside a min. and take the spectator sport away from the opposition.
And ofcourse in that is Shahid Afridi. Who can ever forget him?
3. Mohd Asif is a great bowler on any kind of wicket and surrounded by any situation.
Rana Naved & Abdur Razzak are useful ODI bowlers.
You can't discard Shaib Akhtar at any instance of time.
Danish Kaneria will join a great variety contained by the bowling attack.
Afridi can be dangerous next to the ball.
4. Their average age is less significant than that of the Indians.
5. No fitness problem.
Now for Inidians
6. Average age is 27.5 which is much higher what it should be.
7. No truthful all-rounders like Abdur Razzak. That can be costly. 5th bowler's quota have tobe filled up by Sachin,Sehwag,Sourav. Against moral teams to be precise going to hurt India badly.
8. Fielding is poor.
9. A great concern almost the fitness of some main players approaching Sachin,Sourav,Rahul,Zaheer. We may not get them as fresh as one would similar to to see in the World Cup.
