Why doesn't Kapil Dev coach Indian Cricket Team?
Question:Now that Greg Chappel is out(he had to depart as well), India is searching for a latest coach...
I think that when we hold such experienced players, like Kapil Dev, Mohinder Amarnath, and oodles more..then why do we hold to depend on foreign coaches...
.mebbe i may not be knowing something bout it...
but plzz ppl think bout it...

Kapil Dev be the coach of India during 1989 - 90 period and be not able to do anything significant.
We must walk for a foreign coach only this will bring surrounded by International ideas and technique for the players to get trained up.
Dave Whatmore have expressed eagerness to coach India, I surface he is the right choice.
Kapil Dev, it appears, is not interested to take up the assignment of Coach as it is adjectives from the fact that he have proposed the name of Sunil Gavaskar for the mission.
The problem with the Indian Players is that some of the senior players find it intricate to obey the coach as they consider themselves great. I think that may be one of the object why BCCI had opt for foreign coach thinking that if it is foreign coach, he will get some respect from these players as compared to Indian coach.
Kapil Dev is such a businessman, that he do not own time for his own business and as well as his some of the assignments in relation to sports like, Golf, etc. So such associates can not concentrate on jobs close to coaching. And he also thinks, I get the impression that the job of the coach is a difficult job.
Kapil Dev did serve a short stint as a coach but didnt hold a good text. Anyways, more then Kapil Paaji or Greg Chappel or anyone else, its the squad that needs some central revamping and they need to do some serious soul probing. Our coaches and managers enjoy been unbelievably good. But ultimately its our players who are going to play the hobby and not coaches. As a famous maxim goes, "A Father will edify you how to produce kids, but he will not actually produce the kids, will he ?" I deem in the later 20 years, Ajit Wadekar was the best coach/manager we ever have.
I know that the idea of a foreigner coach is not appealing to most of the Indians but the truth is that non of the name presented so far seem imposing to replace Chappell. I think near are so many great coaches out within who can help troop India regain their prestige. The problem in coaching Indians is that they hold Hugh ego and a lot of interference from everyone associated near cricket and that includes even the media society. Once you hire a person, you should permit him do his job in need watching over his shoulders all the time.

I too agree with U, both Kapil and Amarnath could be the best coach, but Indian cricket is full of politics, it time when even the adjectives men should be given the right ton vote and choose the team and coach. its time to rob strict action against the players. Its shame on Indian squad

What is the use? Players approaching Sachin thinks they are above adjectives! they are capable to variety mockery of Kapil Dev too!!
kapil dev is to emotional to be coach, remember he broke down within tv channel few years ago.He have a larger then vivacity image and will one and only add to the medium focus on the team.

After Pakistan disappointed me, I have only one squad to support. I've supported them for a while even though im Paki. MY number one team is Pakistan. But i love Sri Lanka. This is one of the deepest team in the World cup. Tharanga, Jayasuriya, Jayawerdena the person in charge, Slinga Malinga, CHAMINDA VAAS, Sangakkara, and guyz like Dilshan annd Arnold bring atheletes to the squad. And u obviously cant forget him.
