Cycling Questions and Answers

I know this sounds stupid but I'm have trouble keeping my tires inflated. What's wrong? What can I do?

Question:Years ago, I had bicycles and rode regularly. My bicycle be stolen and I got busy near my career. Now I bought a trial bicycle and it just seem that I'm having to nouns up the tires every time that I ride. It's a brand new bike! Brand unmarked tires! It's apparently a slow leak, if that's the problem... but both tires?!? What are the likelihood? I started thinking there must be something wrong next to the valve cap or how I'm airing it up. Anybody got any thinking? Sorry, I know it sounds stupid but I'm just getting subsidise into riding.

I am assuming that your new bicycle is not a high-end mountain bike next to tubeless tires. I would suggest you find the tire size that is printed on the sidewall (most mountiain bikes are 26" x 2") and pop in a local bike shop or outdoor equipment cooperative (REI or MEC) and pick up three new, well brought-up quality tubes ($2-$4 each) - 2 to replace the tire tubes that come with your bike and a spare for your tool sack or backpack (where ever you store your repair kit). Make sure you have at most minuscule two plastic tire irons to help remove and put the tire put a bet on on the rim without detrimental the new tubes. If you are riding a road bike, you should enjoy a good floor pump and check your tire pressure every time you ride. Road tubes (700 x 23) will loose nouns faster than mountain bike tubes due to the higher pressure ratings. Road stipulation 80 to 110 lbs, mountain are good at 30 to 40 span.

If you have never changed a tire tube, this site may be of assistance...

could be three things tires could be doomed to failure but new i doubt it, two could be the tires are not seal against the rims? and three try tighting up the valve stems. hope you find it perfect luck
(1) Take it back to the store and explain your problem.
(2) Take it to a tire repair place and agree to them have a look at it. If it truly is a slow overrun or defective tires, you have proof that the tires are defective and should know how to get a unknown bike and/or tires.
OK, take it final to where you bought it and explain the problem. Have the tires tested for leak. Even brand new tires can be defective.
it's the tubes if anything...bear it to a shop and have mechanic check them and present you a quick demonstration on proper inflation keeping and technique
Does this bike have Presta valve? If so you need to tighten the stopcock by hand contained by order to trademark it.
I bought a new bike second year and I asked the store what is the best thing for the tires so I do not own problems all the time. I know these sounds unnatural but he told me to put green slime in the tires. This protects them from getting punctured and going flat. Well so far so righteous.

I would take it wager on where you bought it and see if they can put some green slime into the tires. Hope this works for you too.
If your tire is truly going flat daily, you enjoy a leak and inevitability to just return with new tubes on respectively wheel. If they are basically getting slightly soft every couple of days, this is not out of the norm.

Tires do lose a certain amount of nouns, this is normal. I hold to pump up the tires on my commuter bike, which I ride every day every couple of weeks, and my mountain bike pretty much every weekend past I ride. If you live somewhere that the temperature change a lot, that could be division of it. I find I have to supply more air surrounded by the winter because it is cold outside. Same with my saloon.

Make sure you have a spare tube, lever and mini pump on hand when you ride within case you necessitate to change your tube on a ride. But at home, generate sure you are pumping your tires up to the correct pressure. You probably want to have a apposite floor pump with an accurate pressure guage. If you are not pumping your tires up plenty in the first place, the small amounts of nouns they normally lose will be more noticable.

Would 700c size wheel fit my '79 Schwinn road bike?

Question:i have a Super le Tour and the outdated wheels are 27 1/4'' and i call for a new rudder set
Answers:

You may have a problem near the brakes. The rim diameter may be to small for the brake pads to conquer the rim properly. Check with your local shop.
...conceivably, you'd have to cause sure the brakes could adapt
They should be OK next to minor adjustments, if any. The tires bad the 27" won't fit, but the tubes are interchangeable.
The new 700c wheel will cost more than the bike is worth...Might want to check into a used road bike...
Nope.

I had an infirm Schwinn Varsity. Heavy as hell (steel wheels). I wouldn't recommend getting 700c wheels for that bike, you'll stipulation to get adapters for the brake calipers. You might as all right buy a new bike, or acquire a cheap secondhand bike from EBay or Craigslist.

How can i trounce 5 mins contained by running a mile?

Answers:

Run a quarter in 1:10, rest for two minutes, after run it again...repeat 4 times, then rest 15 minutes, afterwards repeat whole cycle again...afterwards stretch, go home and chomp through spaghetti and vegetables and chicken.
Do this on Wednesdays and Sundays.
Tuesday, Friday and Saturday run 1hr steady medium...next stretch, go home and put away spaghetti and vegetables and chicken.
Rest on Mondays and Thursdays.

In 2 Months youll be there
Try to run a quarter contained by less than a minute, rest for two minutes, later run it again until you have run a mile.
Do this for more or less six months, then try to procure your time under 55 second. Another six months of this and try to get it below 52 seconds after that.
IF you accomplish this, afterwards a five minute mile will feel close to a vacation.
Run faster than 12 miles per hour.

Mathematically speaking, as expected.
