Is the Jamis Ventura Sport road bike any honest?

Question:The price is reasonable and I really close to it. I'm new to road biking and inevitability some suggestions.
Answers:

Jamis is a pretty good mark. But I prefer Specialized.
I looked at the specs and it should be a good learner bike. You should test ride it to see if you similar to it. I noticed that the team leader tube angle is slacker than usual and may have be compensated by tweaking the fork rake. I'm not so sure how that translates to handling/ride but I'd guess that it'll be tuned for stability than sporty/quick handling. They may have done that to confer beginners less toe overlap that could result within a small scare sometimes (that's when your toe touches the front pedals when the pedals are level and you are steering the bike).

Check out Specialized Sequoia for a incredibly similar bike.

Specialized Allez is same price but a bit racier geometry.

Have it and love! Have three Jamises, with at hand quality and affordability you can't progress wrong.
Jamis bikes are often a remarkably good business for your money. Good bang for your buck. Sounds similar to this would be a good bike to start out beside. Then when you take to the sport over time you may upgrade parts, or this become the winter trainer. Either way I approaching Jamis.

I own niggle (ache) above my kneecap from cycling. Sometimes my kneecap clicks and requests to leave your job its track.?

Answers:

It sounds like chondromalacia. It is a unbelievably common overuse problem for cyclists.

What happen is that your kneecap, lined next to a smooth covering called hyaline cartilage, get microscopic blisters on it so that it has the texture of sandpaper fairly than teflon. When this happens the surrounding tissues get hold of contused and inflamed.

This has a few possible cause.
- One is an imbalance surrounded by your quadriceps causing your patella to track inappropriately.
- Your seat is too low cause excessive strain, a more acute angle in the top of your pedal stroke and thus greater pressure than called for on your patella.
- You're pushing huge gears, again causing more pressure than indispensable.
- Genetics.

The important fragment, how to alleviate it.
- If it is and imbalance, it is the Vastus Medialis, the little teardrop-shaped muscle merely above and inside the kneecap that is the culprit. To isolate and strengthen this muscle do leg extentions against resistance and a moment ago do the last ten degree of extention. This is the lift where on earth you sit in the gadget and straighten your leg, only you'll singular do the last little portion of the lift to where on earth you leg is almost straight.
- Get a proper bike fit.
- Pedal in an easier gear at a high cadence - 80 RPM minimum, and shoot for 90-95.
- In the short possession start using a quality Glucosamine and Chondroitin supplement, rime for fifteen minutes after your workout, and take an anti-inflamitory, similar to Advil. Something else you might try, for this and overall health is a competence fish oil boater. they have shown to be as upright or better at reducing inflamation that asprin and are incredible for your circulatory system.

I know this was long, but I hope it is accommodating.
If you are using clip on pedals then your shoes may be incorrectly aligned. Try sittting on a table near your legs hanging smoothly. The way your foot splay should be how they look on the pedals; the angle should be the same. Make sure your form is at the correct height - your knees should have basically a slight flex at the bottom of the downstroke.
Dude I had to bequeath up bike riding for that same reason. Of course, I be very contented not to have to go and get back on the damn article. I hated it. Try going to a really perfect bike shop and have them adjust your form for you. A good mechanic will look at you while you are sitting on the bike to see how far up and down your leg is going. It help me a bit, but not enough to verbs doing something I hated.
it can be fot two things.
1) your form is too high
2)you are not pedaling as you should.
Sounds kinda resembling the seat is too dignified and possibly the cleats aren't set right. Does it seem as though you enjoy reach or stretch to be in motion through the bottom of the pedal stroke? Have somebody watch from aft as you pedal to see if you are rocking side to side. If you are, the seat is too high-ranking and needs to come down. To really bring everything dialed in right, walk get fitted at a bike shop.

What type of touring bike is the best for one two morning tours?

Question:Roadbiking with SAG wagon?
Answers:

I've had virtuous luck with a Trek 520. I did a solo ride from Georgia to Upstate NY within 1987 on the 520's predecessor, a Trek 620. It has an extremely all-embracing range of gears, have a rear rack for saddlebags or a rack trunk, braze-ons for 3 hose bottle cages and also braze-ons for a front rack if you considered necessary to add one. Check it out at www.trekbikes.com
With so lots models out there i suggest. You jump to your local bike shop and talk to the sale reps. Tel them what you want to do, how much you'd like to really spend. And audition ride a few of their suggested models. Once you make your screening get out near and enjoy. I started riding again going on for 3 years ago and love it.
