3 speed internal hub?

Question:I just bought a bike next to a 3 speed internal hub. I have never have an internal hub bike before. I hold noticed that sometimes the bike feel like it is jump back and forth between 1st and 2nd gear on its own, much approaching an externally geared bike will do. Is that possible on an internal hub or do I need an adjustment. It does appear to happen mostly on slight inclines or dips.
Answers:

Yes, you call for a cable adjustment...

Depending on the model of the hub, there is somewhat window or a file on the actuator that is screwed onto the backside axle. This window (or line) usually shows where on earth the actuator should be in 2nd gear. Simply tighten or loosen the cable until the red mark lines up.

Make sure that you STOP pedalling when shifting, and that the hub remains well lubricated next to light MACHINE grease (not motor oil or 3 within 1 or WD40)... you can use sewing machine grease that is convenient from just in the region of anywhere if you can't find machine grease.
It needs adjustment (cable tension). The first piece you have to formulate sure is that the chain is properly tensioned. Then if still doing it try tightening the cable for a while from the adjuster by the connection to the axle. When it slips from 1 to 2 it usually routine the cable is loose. Also make sure any of the clamps and guides/stops along the frame for the cable are tight because if they slip as you shift gears it will incentive the cable to loosen. Drop some light grease into the hub as well.
if you bought it brand new from one of the shops take it rear legs to them and make them adjust it and ask for your money subsidise if they wont fix it it was made surrounded by china so they are making a killing freshly selling the thing.

How to craft my 8 year ripened daughter swot riding bicycle, minus assist of side (supporting) wheel?

Question:Please help me making her revise it. I have be running along holding the back mover for last two days, to give a hand her making balance, but i believe its not helping much.

Can anyone backing me with his/her experience/expertise?
Answers:

Ok..tolerate me see if I can explain this.

Lower the bike seat adjectives the way down so her foot REALLY touch the ground. Let her push herself along, just resembling if she was surrounded by one of those little cars.
Gradually get her to pick up her foot for a few seconds while she is coasting along. Eventually find her to put her feet on the pedals while she is coasting.
Remember, preserve the seat adjectives the way down so she can touch the ground if she feel the need. Get her set off right first, before she tries to pedal. You can angle the seat unhurriedly as she gets more confident.
She may not be equipped and two days is not that long!

At 8 she is still developing.
If she has problem such as an ear infection she will enjoy problems balancing.

However, the most predictable answer is that she just isn't prepared yet.
8 years weak is a little ripened to be trying to learn how to ride a bike if you would've started quicker your child would not have be scared. But u cant shift back surrounded by time. So you need to build up your child's self esteem and speak about them they can do it. If you have another kid conceivably he/she can help your child by them explaining how they did it.
Unfortunatley, training wheel are not a bad solution. They facilitate learn going on for the bike, how it works, and begins to develop harmonize. I think it is a important first step.
She's old satisfactory to be able to swot up. Some suggestions I've read about: bear off the pedals so she can use her foot to walk the bike around where on earth she wants to dance. That gives a child time to get hold of used to the steering, can go slow, start to cram about go together, enjoy the bike near no pressure yet, etc. After a few days or a week, she might ask for the pedals so she can shift faster!
put your running shoes on and keep doing what you're doing.
and when she's steady and in place. let her dance. it's time consuming and not all that much fun for you but, you are culture her somehting that she will benefit from, the rest of her life.
It's call parenting
Just Do It.
My daughter learned at 6 contained by a driveway of an acquaintance. The driveway be sloped, very, greatly slightly toward the road. We had her lug her feet bad the pedals at the top and just coast along the driveway. We caught her at the bottom. There be no traffic at all surrounded by this area so coasting toward the road be not an issue. Once she could coast, it was simply a matter of a light of day or two before she pedalled sour on her own.
get her within the grass! make sure its not big grass or to hard to ride surrounded by. also make sure shes wearing protective equipment as one young her body is still developing and you dont want that to bring hurt. get her a helmet atleast and of late let her step for maybe a foot or two, minus her realising it shes gonna be going for a foot or two without falling rotten, if you stay close u can catch her incase of falling. after doing this plenty u can start to let her walk more nd more, say 5 or 6 foot after that shes good to turn, as long as she can steer and pedal at the same time she wotn drop and shell be ok, make sure the bike fits her and she can use the brakes when she requests to stop
The way I bookish to ride was taking my bike to a big grassy paddock and I just kept at it until I could stay adjectives for longer and longer periods of time until I finally get it.

This will ease her fears of falling, no fun falling on asphalt/concrete.
My daughter be about 5 or 6 when she well-educated - we had a grassy grass that sloped down towards the road. Her bike was only just the right size where she could accomplish the ground easily near her feet. She go down the hill too copious times to count but each time she get better and more sure of herself. She fell a few times but in the safekeeping of the soft grass! That way she wasn't worried or hurt to get up and try again in a couple days she was riding close to a pro.
Now she is 10 yrs old and still a pro.
Explain knees scrapes and chief gashes and oh dental finances and I contemplate she'll do fine. And your welcome!
