Club horror stories!!?

Question:Anyone know of a true first person explanation of a large cycling club getting sued from member or a non-member without insurance?
What do you know happen to a club?
Answers:

A club can only be sued if it rightfully exists, that is to utter, it has be incorporated as an actual organization. Otherwise, the plaintiff have to find a _person_ responsible to sue.

If the club had articles of incorporation and officer, then the club could be held repsonsible to pay cheque off any damages, and if at hand is no insurace the officers could be held liable.

Generally speaking these lawsuits take place when someone is injured on a ride that is sposored or promoted by a club. Most clubs in our time have riders any sign a release before they ride, or they enjoy to be members of the host club which requires an umbrella release.

Most larger clubs are affiliates of umbrella organization such USACycling or The League Of American Wheelmen. When you become a member of these groups you qualify for their insurance coverage.

Without knowing what the outlook of the lawsuit is, and knowing how the club you're referring to is or is not incorporated, no one can specualte what will or will not come about to the club.

Best case - near is no money to be won, and no clear individual/s responsible, the suit does not go forward because the plaintiff realize that a win would cost way more money than could be realize.
Worst case - individual/s are found properly, possible criminally responsible, and the judgement could result in hulking fines and possible jail (if negligence or intent is proven).

Advice - if it's not too unpunctually, have the nation running the club etiher join one of the umbrella groups, or individually buy personal liablilty insurance.
no, not but
never
It depends. Does the club exist as a legal entity? Or are the member being sued individually?

Velociraptors or Fire XC Pros?

Question:For my Fisher Piranha. I ride XC(cross country mountain biking, for those who don't know) in most conditions. Loose, hardpack, gravel, sometimes sand, not usually mud though. Any planning would be great
Thanks

Damn either would be a accurate choice. They are classic treads. The 2.1's are best. I think the WTB's are a moment or two bit tougher. If you get the Fires formulate sure you get the made contained by Japan ones.

Check out www.mtbr.com if you haven't already.
I have ridden both. I mull over that both are good tires, but probably I would step for the Fire XC, since I think they enjoy less rolling resistance and hold fairly well-mannered traction, and probably weight smaller quantity.
I am with Roberto on this one, although I approaching 1.8 s, since this gives smaller number role resistance. However, since you are looking at dry, sandy soil, 2.1 s might be better.

Luck
I've tried both too and have terminated up with the Fire XCs on my S-works FSR. I ride mostly over loose, gravel and particularly light dirt and occasionally mud. I close to the response of the tires over the fluffy stuff and it bites well even surrounded by a turn. Like they have already said, build sure you get the ones made surrounded by Japan.
have ridden both, cant read out, thats a hard one. both are pretty cheap and upright. im rockin the WTB weirwolf now though and it blows those two away.
I give attention to the Fire XC pros are a cracking tyre! Just be careful though, as the side walls hold a tendancy of wearing out before the tread. I am a associate of a local mtb team, and this is a adjectives problem we all become aware of, but continue beside the tyres as they are still the best summer tyre out there (especially for the price).
I own both for my Kona. All the above conditions including hard granite and granite particle in sand, limestone edges and gritty black boggy moorland.
The Velociraptors are wider and I preserve them softer for wintertime use.
The FireXC are narrower and I keep them deeply harder for fast summer riding.
Its unresponsive boring changing them over, but I also do a fasten swap,
lube change and standard overhaul at the same time.
Hi,
I a short time ago mounted a set of WTB Motoraptor 2.14s on my Giant NRS. So far they have deliver confidence inspiring traction and control on everything I've put them over. They do buzz more on hardpack than the Hutchinson Pythons they replaced but I love the way the Motoraptors hook up. I'm running them tubeless on standard Mavic rims near rim strips and sealent.
