It's big that you buy the right size bike for your build, so do go out and try a few bikes out and see how they quality.
Sounds like you stipulation a mountain bike. Your local bike shops should have a clothed selection contained by various price ranges. Be sure to shop around a bit.
Also, since you'll truly be off-road, ask for "tire liners" and swot up how to repair flat tires.
Good luck

I haven't ridden my bike contained by years, do I involve up to date tubes?
Question:The tires don't support my full weight and sort a squeeky sound, even when pumped up adjectives the way. The bike can smoothly support me, so do I need current tubes? And how do I select them?
Answers:
You should probably get foreign tubes and also tires. Just check the size on the sidewall of the tire and buy tubes to match. If you are unsure of your tire/tube varying skills then give somebody a lift your bike to a dealer and hold them do it for you. You should also get an inspection/tune up while you're at it since you haven't ridden it for so long.
sounds similar to it needs a lube work if it is squeaking.
If it has be years, I would strongly recommend a visit to your local bike shop. Tires and tubes DO dance bad and lubricants also win hard or dry up...purely a squirt of oil here and in attendance won't correct this.
give ur bike a rinse after pump it up and ride it for a while if it still have problems later chage the tyres and tube and remember to lube up the bearings.
Specialized Tarmac or Giant TCR? Which one would you choose and why?
Answers:
I think the blacktop is slightly higher finishing than the TCR, but remember, its not the bike that wins the see.
I've ridden the TCR,and it's an exceptional bike. It handles great, acclerates unjust, and is quite comfortable. Plus, I really approaching the way it looks. It's a race bike made for racing, not posing.
I surmise the Tarmac is experiencing more popularity because of a better marketing campaign, but since I've never ridden one I can't offer a comaprison there. However, I know three guys near Tarmac SL frames and they love them.
Ride both, then choose.
Go beside the specialized Tarmac (I assume it is the S-works model). It is a sick-looking bike and has awesome components...Plus Tom Boonen rides it and he seem to like it.
distinctly the Tarmac
one of my dream bikes is the S-Works Tarmac with full Dura Ace, but next to the Roval wheels
awesome bike, great geometry, incredibly light and sturdy, stiff on the climbs and plush on the flats
the Giant is pious, but the Specialized is better
Good answers so far, only one entry to add Specialized offer more sizes so your likely to take a better fit. Unless you really fit the small medium or colossal size category, I would go beside the Tarmac
Hi, I recently purchased a S-Works SL frameset. It be on sale, but here is why I really chose it over the TCR 0:
WARRANTY!
The specialized have a lifetime warranty, that means you can capture it serviced at ANY specialized dealer (no warranty card required). Also, contained by the unfortunate event that the frame breaks, you carry a free replacement. I have hear bad stories give or take a few Giant's warranty (people felt shafted). That is really noteworthy with buying a CF rig.
