It's one of life's little joy changing a tire.
front is straightforward -- lossen the brakes, then loosen the tire and adaptation it.

back -- loosen the brakes and the fasten. make sure the flipside gears are similar to what you had beforehand (# and spacing) and do the same as the front. i've never deal with the gears contained by the back but .. [the concluding rear tiller that i personally changed be on a 5-speed bike i used to deliver papers on my paper route roughly 30 years ago.]
I think the give somebody the third degree asked is - what type of tools or procedures do you use to get the investigational tube and the tire back onto the rim. This is where on earth most people be in motion bad on a conversion. Here is a hint, don't use anything sharp to pry that tire over the tube. Bike shops grant blunt pry tools to do this. My changed tire never lasts as long as the unproved. I think I am getting the tube folded underneath the tire or something.

I hold a 1997 lemond road bike. I would resembling to know if here is a carbon fork replacement pick.?

Answers:

Assuming your Lemond has a 1" quilled stem, I just this minute did a similar conversion myself.

Obviously, you'll need the following:

Carbon fork beside 1 inch threadless steerer.
1" threadless stem, or 1 1/8th" threadless stem with a shim
1" threadless headset

You may know how to get away near using your old handlebar, but it might be a moral time to look into a replacement.

Since threaded forks and quilled stems are so rare very soon, and the conversion to threadless is so easy, there's no function not to do it.
There are many option. As it is a 97, you will need a fork beside a 1" steerer tube. Check Nashbar or Performance for their offerings. If this is a warranty question, email Trek. They may hold a lifetime warranty for the original owner.
