Cycling Questions and Answers

Should I give my road bike tires inflated adjectives the time ?

Answers:

Yes, generally you can head off them inflated.

If you have tubular (singles) tyres on your see wheels, which you may hold pumped up to 200psi.probably a good opinion to deflate after the race.
sure
Yes, Why not.
Yes - if you deflate them previously storing the bike, then the tyres (and their inner metal cords) can become deformed semi-permanently contained by the shape formed when the weight of the bike presses down on them. This is why you should never exit a motor vehicle on its tyres if you are going to store it for any length of time.
why not? Do you think they might gain overstretched?

Anyone else doing the London to Brighton bike ride this year?

Question:Just wondered if any of you guys are doing the London to Brighton bike run this year, maybe we could swap log or training tips..
Answers:

I did the run last year & the year until that time. I'll also be doing it again [hopefully] this year.
Make sure you take lots of nutrition bar along & eat something small every 30 to 40 minutes to maintain your sugar levels up & breed sure you drink water regularly along the process. Don't stuff yourself full with a big breakfast but fairly eat something close to porridge oats as that has a slow releaseing get-up-and-go & will keep you going for relatively a while. If you feel your legs going a bit wobbly, freshly get rotten & walk for for a time while until you're ready to remount your bike again. Check your bike ably before you start stale & make sure your brakes are surrounded by good working demand. Practive several times a week & do some leg strengthening exercises, you can start those from now. Wear a right protective helmet & cycle with the sole of your foot on the peddle, not the instep or the heel. Be aware of others on the ride as you do tend to get some right knobheads taking member & some do cause a few accident.
Enjoy the day & don't see it as a see.
Have fun & be carefull of what is called the "bonk" which is where on earth if you haven't kept up your sugar levels you could touch faint, elapse out, have hallucination, or your legs will just prohibit to operate.
no i am going to get the 16.23 from waterloo.
Bungle here are no trains from Waterloo to Brighton so you won't get in attendance.

I am doing the ride again but don't take this too serious as it is a fun sunshine out and you will get frustrated if you are trying to do it competively.

There are thousands of cyclists taking piece and you will be held up. Especially at the start where you can linger for half an hour to capture going.

Bontrager 700c select road wheels vs. bontrager select 700c hybrid wheel diferences?

Question:what is the difference between the 700c bontrager road select and the 700c bontrager hybrid select and will the hybrid select fit a road bike? is it possibly rim width or rear spacing or even both?
Answers:

The only big difference is the width of the rim. The hybrid one is slightly wider. The hub spacing is the same for both (130mm is more or less the standard these days). The hybrid select wheels may or may not work on your bike once the tires are installed. It depends on the amount of clearance between the tire and fork blades on the front and the tire and seat tube & chainstays on the back. It also depends on the specific tire used. Most road bikes will handle a 700 x 28 tire as the widest. This is at the bigger end for a road wheel and the smaller end for a hybrid wheel.

Exercise bikes are too complicated. Why not enjoy an widespread bike fixed on a everlasting platform?

Question:Before you ask, I am useless with my hand. So the answer is no, I can't make one myself.
Answers:

Another source of stationary bike trainers is here:
http://www.amazon.com/b/ref=sr_hi/102-19...
Looks resembling they range within price from $100-$200 + so an excercise bike might be cheaper, but for space I would think the removable trainer would get more sense. Plus, you are investing in your road bike set up versus have some additional equipment lying around.

I regard as your right, better to buy the add on trainer.
excersice bikes are bikes on a permanant platform. uhhhhh duh
I enjoy a better idea: why not own an ordinary bike and clutch it out for pleasant rides in the lovely English countryside?
There are "fixed beyond repair platforms" out there that allow you to affix your regular bike to it.
I enjoy an even better idea: Why not bench press the bicycle?
There are masses types of stationary trainers you can mount your regular bike to. Check out nashbar.com or performancebike.com
well excercise bikes are built contained by a way to build muscle and lack of complaint, and the strenght/resistance can be changed. a normal bike is designed to be confident to ride so wont have one and the same effect.
