You can ride them legally pretty much anywhere in the world.
The chances are that it will be illegal to ride them on PUBLIC ROADS. Most of the U.S. don't allow them.
But check with the Portland vehicle code to make sure.
Who do you start cross country bike riding?
Question:I want to cross country bike ride.. but i am over weight trying to lose.. what is the best instrument that i can start slowly.. and work my way up.. ? please backing.. i am running 6.6 miles a day at this time.. i hold not got on the bike within 4 yrs.. and that was solely for short runs with the kids.. ? where on earth do i start..

You're off to a fitting start if you are running 6.6 miles per day, esp if it is adjectives at once. Is it outside or on a treadmill?
You might want to start riding with a mountain bike and if you run outside, ride alike route, then little by little extend the ride further and further. You should be able to ride 6.6 miles contained by 30 minutes, assuming your riding on the flats and not up many hill. You could also go to a gym and work on a stationary bike to fire up with, later when you feel that you are surrounded by better shape get yourself a bike and start riding it outside. You'll find that you use different muscles when you ride versus run so you'll probably catch sight of some soreness at first but don't give up. And you'll categorically find your butt will get sore initially, but if you preserve working at it, that discomfort will eventually go away. I am sure in that are training programs and books that you can find to help you win in shape for a cross country bike ride. The most major thing is you enjoy to get on a bike and start riding. It will eventually stop human being a chore and start being something you look forward to doing.

The best method is never eat express food again, i did, and ive never been overweight, but loose counterweight and gaining muscle own surly got to be awfully similar, becuase ive been working out for close to 2 years, but for teh second year, i havnt had swiftly food at all, and the individual soda i drink is sprite, i think thsi have a HUGE affect on it, so if you dont alreayd eat fastfoodd, dont devour it, and before you run, do situps or crunches, and youll acquire better results, and if your willing to settle money, look into a product called "reliv" its a shake drink, be you mix up 3 of these differn powerds called "fiber store, classic and energize" into liquid or water or you can breed it into a smoothie, they taste well brought-up, and ever since i started taking reliv, ive been competent to wake up in a hurry, and not be tired, and i havnt been getting migraines liek i norammly do, and they replace minearls and adjectives sorts of stuff your body needs which average those dont get from consumption normal food, belive me if you pinch reliv you will loose weight, bc it is padding, so you can just drink a shake for breakfast, if you want to know more email me or somthign or progress to: http://reliv.com/
Join a local bicycle club so you can start riding with other relatives. If you don't know if any are in your nouns, ask your local bike shop. Ride safe and don't forget your helmet!
