Look within the yellow page under bicycle repair. Often stores that supply bikes have repair shops contained by the back.And depending on the problem some things could be fixed by a auto mechanic. so you could try your local garage.
Try Yahoo Local where on earth you live.
Look in the Yellow Pages - if you can't find bicycle repair (and I bet you can) send for a store that sells bikes and ask them who does repairs contained by the neighborhood. (Tell them you're thinking of buying a bike but are worried about getting it repaired - that will generate them pay more attention to you.)

Any bike shop will do repairs because most of their income depends on repairs to stay in business. I'm serious !

Do not use a "U-Lock" type lock. They are one of the easiest locks to pick. All you requirement is a pen tube. It's so simple to do. Stories have be on my local news almost how thieves do it.

Any bike shop will give you an neglected bike box for free or a few bucks. You have to dis assemble and pack it. Be sure to use lots of lagging and tie everything together, and expect the box to get torn up and own holes punched in it during shipping.
