TREK, Specialized, GIANT, or Schwinn?

Question:I am looking at a few bikes--any riders out there? What's the best brand? What big-hearted of equipment is the best? I plan to ride on the paths mostly, except for a couple unpaved walking path in my nouns, but still pretty beaten down, as trails step. No heavy-duty trail riding...yet. I want something right that's going to last. I know Schwinn bikes the best but I know nearby are better brands now. My option, which are mostly comfort mountain-type in like price range, are:

TREK
-Hybrid 7100 bike boardwalk
-Hardtail 3700 or 3900 mountain aluminum
-7.2 FX Fitness

Specialized
-Crossroads Sport comfort

Schwinn
-Voyageur Hybrid
-Sierra comfort Sport

GIANT
-Sedona Road
-Boulder SE-W or W

Opinions from riders?
Answers:

There's really no correct answer to this question. Someone can voice "Trek" and it's the best bike for them, but not for you.

Go to your local bike shops and test ride respectively of them, that way the force will make sure the bike fits you and next you can see which bike works best for you.

I own a Trek and owned a Specialized until it was stolen, I similar to both, but can't really tell you if any is right for you.
I've ridden Specialized for my whole vivacity and it's always be great. Great for mountain biking.
Get a Huffy at Wal-Mart! They are on sale this week. 35% stale.

Honestly... They are all great Bikes. It really depends on how you be aware of on them. Test each one out and after go next to your gut feeling!
I suggest looking for the most cost significant bike and which has the best customer service. Or even what looks most appealing to you. You dont appear like the type to do intense stuff so i dont deliberate it really matters which one you pick. Try conducting tests any you have access to.
I enjoy a Giant Comfort bike. It's a Cypress with an aftermarket form. I love it. Super comfortable and fun to ride. Very smooth on the road, the suspension is well brought-up enough that my trips down dirt roads are also fairly comfortable.
The Trek is a really nice bike but I would have to step with the specialized,, they are adjectives around good bikes for the money, and enjoy many models surrounded by a variety of option and prices.

Biking is a great hobby you are going to have a blast!
I am a triathlete, and I own both a time trial bike and a mountain bike. I own found, both through my experiences and that of my friends, that with any brand, you'll win comparative quality for the price. In other words, set your spending restrain, and you'll get roughly like quality regardless of brand. If you plan to ride repeatedly, however, it's very significant to be measured for a correct bike. Different bikes are made for different body shapes and dimensions. If you don't get the right fit initially, you could experience minor pains and injuries as a result of riding (note again that this is for someone who rides frequently).
Good luck, and enjoy fun!
Ive had a Specialized for 3 years presently and not had any problems near it, so if i was picking from your account i would stick with what i know and travel with the specialized

Rear Derailleur troubleshooting?

Question:My son's bike will not put the chain up on the first gear. The selector will show first, but the cuff will stay on the second gear. If the selector is held all the process back, it will start to move up. When released, the cuff will fall stern to the second sprocket. Is this an issue with a limitation screw or cable tightness(or both)?
Answers:

This is an easy fix...

1) Shift the bike to the cable "full slack" (high gear) position.
2) Loosen the cable fixing bolt on the derailleur.
3) Pull the cable through until the slack is gone.
4) Retighten cable fixing bolt. BE CAREFUL.. don't tighten it too much or you'll break it sour.
If the limit screw be adjusted properly to inaugurate with, do not touch it...hold back screws do not turn out of adjustment on their own. Most likely it is a problem next to cable tension. If near is a barrel adjuster on the derailleur, turn it counter clockwise, one click at a time...checking for compliance beside each click. Once the secure goes up next to a click of the shifter and doesn't fall down on its own, nearby is enough tautness. Another possibility to check (if the cable tension trick does not work) is derailleur hanger alignment. This is best done by a qualified bike mechanic. A misaligned derailleur hanger will impose shifting problems, usually in the upper gears. If your son lays his bike down on the drive (right) side frequently, he may enjoy bent the hanger. Hope this helps!
