Floyd Landis' positive doping redult?
Question:I'm no conspiracy theorist but I am wondering how plausible using contamination as a armour would be for Landis' under these circumstances. Does anyone know what is the preferred method to introduce testosterone into the body? Does it own to be done through an injection or can it be taken orally. Reason I ask is while watching the Tour I saw numerous riders taking river from spectators. Could someone have spiked a wet bottle?
Answers:
I agree that Landis is responsible for knowing what goes into his body. If he drank spiked marine, that's his problem. If you let him past its sell-by date for drinking spiked water, consequently every rider would "accidentally" drink spiked water.
You may hold saw what appeared to be riders taking water from hit and miss spectators, but none of the leading riders would risk that. Part of what the squad does for a rider is arrange for trusted liquid refreshment (not in recent times plain water, to save riding at top speed for hours and hours, riders need nutrified water) to be provided along the course route.
If here is a record of Landis complaining around some kind of irregularity surrounded by the sample collection process prior to the test coming back positive, that would be unbelievably helpful. But I own read nothing which suggests this.
My guess is that his masking agent has-been. Or maybe he didn't realize a trial could distinguish between real and synthetic testosterone.
The onus is on him to do something to explain. If he can't, his riding job is over.
[Some are asking, Why would Landis jeopardize his career? Duh. Why does any athlete cheat? To win. Same intention so many MLB players used roids within the 90s. Without the drugs, they don't put up the numbers, they don't get the big contract, conceivably they never get beyond AA globe. Without that monster performance within the mountains, Landis would not have finished 1st. He would own just be another anonymous cyclist that fnished the Tour De France, but who didn't win.]
He's guilty. The testosterone was synthetic. There's no means of access he wouldn't know about it. Everyone claims they are innocent.
the difference contained by his performance from his worst daylight to the next daylight which was his best pretty much proves to me he be doping
its obvious within retrospect
and why would someone randomly spike a marine bottle, who do you think have access to these substances?
my understanding is he be behind next to little hope of winning at the time, why would an rival give him an benefit (if he weren't caught)?
his career be ending subsequent month with his surgery, this be his last hit and miss at glory, and he succumbed to temptation
With his A and B sample testing positive, the burden of proof is on Floyd. It would be fundamentally difficult to make a grip for contamination without any supporting evidence.
According to the rules governing the Tour de France, riders bear water from spectators at their own risk. So if Floyd did lug spiked water from a spectator, it would be his quirk. But in reality he didn't take hose down from spectators. He rode alone in a breakaway for most of the stage, next to his own team motor handing him river throughout.
As for the preferred method of delivery, testosterone can be taken in words, by injection or by use of a testosterone patch. Cyclists don't discuss doping methods openly, but as lately as a month ago, a German doctor involved in cycling discussed the use of testerone patch for recovery: "You put a standard testosterone patch to be precise used for male hormone replacement psychoanalysis on your scrotum and leave it within for about six hours. The small dose is not sufficient to produce a positive urine result contained by the doping test, but the body certainly recovers faster." --Dr. Kurt Moosburger

I'd similar to to believe Floyd. And it doesn't make sense that he would break away and ride to accomplishment eight minutes ahead of the pack knowing that a drug test be waiting at the finish. But based on the facts at foot, it is difficult to believe he rode clean.
honestly ive be thinkin it waz a conspiracy since da beginning n i assume u hav a very upright theory im not sure exactly but i contemplate sum supplements do work if taken orally jus mayb dey couldnt stand 2 c another american win rite after lances' victorious dominance
I'm really sceptical roughly speaking his results, he's never tested positive before and we adjectives know how much the world hates to see another American win especially after the Lance Armstrong dynasty.
Remember end year, they tryed to frame Lance too. This year they got it right and framed Floyd.
I mull over samples should be kept by the Tour and by respectively country's cycling association to curb contamination. If the Americans kept their own sample and it be also positive then near would be no doubt, but I find it too complicated to believe that he would jeopordize his career by injecting himself next to testosterone, when he knows he will be tested.
It purely doesn't make sense. I support Floyd.
P.S. I'm Canadian not American so I would contemplate that this is an unbiased judgment.
Well Floyd, there's always McDonalds!!
thats an excellent give somebody the third degree.
I'd say that he could probably hold an argument there.
the french, italians and spanish are adjectives tired of losing to americans.

Bike lock for truck?
Question:what's the best way to LOCK a bike into a truck? throw out any planning except about the "bike stand for a truck", those don't lock. and self prefer not to use any cable locks
Answers:
call a trek supplier near you they should enjoy something
I would get a product from Yakima call the Locking Bed Head. It attached to your truck bed and locks the fork of the bike to the truck. It does not require any drilling and is pretty darn strong. It should cost about $75 beside the lock core.

Do cycling jersey really kind a difference?
Question:At what skill level would you recommend owning one? How nearly 50 mile rides? 70?
Answers:
A fitting jersey that is pretty tight make a diffrence in any see, especially a track race. It doesn't flap aorund, is aerodynamic, wicks away moisture and is tight to prevent overheating. any serious ride over 20 miles could use a jersey, and any race at adjectives. they are also convenient with pockets contained by the back to the stuff doesn't decline out. jerseys manifestly make a diffrence if you bike any distance wroth mentioning, close to over 20 miles. it deosn't have to be the most expensive, a used one that fits will do. rememebr nearby a bit tight fitting and thats how its supposed to be. so a used one thats comfortable and fitting and looks decent is a extremely handy thing to use.
a exceedingly minute difference but yes. for your average person it won't really receive a difference. even for the rpos it really doesn't make a difference. but I would read out anywhere around 70MPH and up.
They just create a smoother surface for better aerodynamics, only just like shaving does.
Like shaving your legs or titanium bikes, they hold out marginal advantage.
if, however, it give you a mental advantage, turn for it.
I would recommend somebody using on at about 40 miles and above because 20 or 30 isn't that bleak.
I think it's not really for speed, but usually the fabric on the jerseys let you not get as soaked next to sweat as using a cotton shirt.
Jerseys are about cycling comfort, aero dynamics are marginal. They wick moisture process better than a cotton shirt, have pockets, and "lay" better on the body surrounded by a cycling position. I wear them for every ride no matter how short or long.
yes
Yes to what Hogie said.
