What happen to Kiersten Gum?
Question:She commentated for OLN on the Tour de France the past couple of years. A google investigate doesn't help much.
Answers:
She's still on OLN because I've see her recently on commercials for the net. But she's no longer blonde. My guess is that they figured they could rescue a little money by not sending her to the Tour this year, since they already own Frankie Andreau and now use Floyd Landis' trainer.
Rumor have it she's pitching get-rich-quick schemes on in arrears night infomercials: http://www.dailypelotonforums.com/main/i...
Poor Ms. Gum.
Also, for adjectives Googling, its "Kirsten."
Who cares!!!
What is the right size bike for a 6-year frail?
Question:My son's birthday is coming up and we would like to buy him a clean bike. Obviously, taking him to the store to see which bike fits him isn't an option, because it's going to be a present. He is 3'11" (47") soaring. Thanks in credit!
Answers:
I would say to shift to your local bike shop and ask a professional... make sure that you can return and exchange it for a different size a moment ago in baggage it doesn't fit for him...
I'd go for a 1500cc Kawasaki ninja!
I'd utter the standard 20 inch bike.
Since 6 year olds tend to grow fast, bring her a bike that fits her at its smallest adjustment so it can grow with her for a while. However, do not buy a bicycle that she have to grow into.
Here is how you can test any style of bike for your child's proper fit:
1) Sitting on the form with hand on the handlebar, your child must be able to place the ball of both feet on the ground.
2) Straddling the center slab, your child should be able to stand near both feet flat on the ground next to about a 1-inch clearance between the crotch and the pole.
3)When buying a bike with mitt brakes for an older child, construct sure that the child can comfortably grasp the brakes and apply sufficient pressure to stop the bike.
But of course the best prospect would be to visit a bike store. The citizens working there will know how to help you greatly. It doesn't unnecessarily means you obligation to bring your kid with you.Just stroll into a bike store near your husband and consult with the population there.I'm sure they will be glad to bestow you some advise, tips and recommendation.
Measure his legs as if you were measure to get contemporary dress pants and next when you go to the bike stores be sure near is plenty of leg space from the seat to the ground - remember he will be sitting, not standing, but you wanna be sure his foot make it to the ground to stop the bike/get on and past its sell-by date the bike.
i race BMX psyche go next to a 16" for him..
and lol?? most the time i ride a bike im standing..
Measure his inseam and then lug it to walmart and make sure it is superior than the top tube, about two inches since he is still growing. I wouldn't travel to a bike shop at this point in time.
The 20" joystick bike should be a perfect fit.
I enjoy a son of the same age and in the order of the same echelon. I just upgraded his bike from a 16" to a 20". The 20" is a bit big right in a minute, but he can handle it and it will final him several years.
a 20'' if he uses it only to play around... but if he v\wishes to race.. i'd be better to progress to a bike specialist near you.
Is racing 24hrs of Pisgah (North Carolina) worth it?
Question:I have ridden the Soul Ride in Tucson, 24hrs of the Old Pueblo (also Tucson), 24 Hours of Great Glen (New Hampshire) and was wondering how 24 Hours of Pisgah compared? More technical? Less Technical?
Answers:
I cannot tell you about this specific event, as I don't know the course. That said, I can tell you that Western North Carolina (Pisgah Forest Area) has the best Mountain Biking in the United States.
I have lived in Durango, biked in Utah, California, Oregon, and New Mexico. None of these places even remotely compare to North Carolina. I haven't biked in New Hampshire, nor have I biked in West Virginia. But, I've been to both states, and I can tell you that the mountains aren't as large as they are in North Carolina.
I would look further into the specific event, but Western North Carolina in general, has mountain biking terrain that everyone should experience.
On a side note, make sure it's in Western North Carolina, and not eastern or central NC. Also, dont waste your time in Dupont Forest (near Pisgah Forest) because like many mountain biking areas (Moab comes to mind) it is greatly overrated.
The best resource on biking in the area will be Sycamore Cycles.

Who do u expect will win the tour de france this year?
Answers:
I said it the day up to that time the Tour started, and I'm sticking with it.
Floyd Landis.
He a moment ago rode one of the most legendary rides within the history of the Tour (we're talking Eddy Merckx-like,) and he is the strongest time trialist surrounded by this year's Tour, and will start tomorrow's TT only 30 second back.
I would've picked Basso if he hadn't be thrown out, but Landis is now properly a bad(a)ss. He's going to win.
How p!ssed are the French going to be when an American wins their see for 8 years in a row? My guess is tremendously.Go Floyd!
Floyd Landis is looking very worthy with one time trial still to travel. Time trialing is his specialty.
Armstrong if he is in
I agree next to Lief, Landis
you know, you are probably the 50 or 60th person to ask one and the same question.
Go Floyd!
Go Levi!
Oh, man, after that monster ride one have to belive in the power of Floyd!
Phloyd at the top, and Sastre will hold second, then Kloden I'll bet.
8
Floyd Landis
