Cycling Questions and Answers

Why are here still different bicycles for men and women? What is the point?

Question:Most men I've asked definitely prefer the women's bikes next to no crossbar. Bicycles do not need to to be gendered, especially not for adults. Any judgment why they still are?
Answers:

women and men have different proportions surrounded by thier anatomy, thus the biggest difference for "Women Specific"designs. So a 5'8" woman and a 5'8" man are going to have different proportions within torso length, arm length, femur length, etc... And thus bikes *should* be gendered, at least they are contained by the upper-levels of bikes, not so in the department store height.

Several makers are making step-thru frames (or mixtes) for both men and women, as okay - see: www.rivbike.com
cuz would a dude ride a pink bike?i didnt even know adult bikes be genderized
because they differ in body dimensions
Men and women own different centers of gravity and that affects balence on the bike plus the seat is rather different for obvious reason
Women have longer legs surrounded by relation to torso than men.
The 'diamond' frame is stronger up to a point but the dropped crossbar is safer so lot of non-cyclists ride them. If theres still a market for both types, they are going to be made and sold.
Dont expect you've see the niche market bicycles that are individual made?
Good question. I guess we never consent to go of traditions here

Powerbar or cliffbar?

Question:which one do you prefer?
Answers:

I wouldn't compare the taste of Power bar to dogdoo b/c I have never eat dogdoo unlike others who have answered this request for information. But between the two bars, Cliff bar tastes better. Personally, I bring better performance results from the Power bar.
Cliffbars rock...powerbars taste resembling dogdoo!!
Cliffbars are my fav. I like the liquid ones the best. You can get them at Whole Foods and Trader Joes.
Cliffbars minus a doubt especially Apricot. I've tried several of the Powerbar varieties and hold not been impressed. The Cliffbar brand have a variety of flavors and I soak up the taste of most of them. I usually devour one before I workout contained by the morning and it definitely help with the weights.
Cliffbars!!!
powerbar. these guys are crazy ^
For zest, I like Cliff bar (& Cliff shots)...

For performance, I close to Powerbars (but they tend to give most citizens gas). Ride safe!
Cliffbars for me. I find them easier to digest and they morsel better to me. Of course, old fashioned bananas and granola bar work for me too.

For the cyclometer should the magnet be placed on the middle of the spoke or at any place?

Question:I am trying to install the cateye enduro 8 on my bike but there is for a while thing which is confusing me if i install the magnet at the pause of the spoke it will hit the sensor faster than if it was on the top so it will administer inacurate reading.. it dosen't say anything within the instruction.

Distance does matter...and u are rite roughly it...this webiste tells you what to do...it say about 6 inches (gives u an average)
It doesn't concern, it's still one revolution wherever you put it. It know how big your wheel is at the outside, because you enter that somewhere.
The magnet passing by the sensor is faster at the tire conclusion verses at the hub or center of the controls. They both pass the sensor at impossible to tell apart time. The outer one has a larger arc to cover than the inner location, but other at the same time. And that's the lone difference. The cateye calculates the number of pulses to the certain diameter of the wheel thus giving you the your requirement numbers.
Be sure to mount the magnet securely to the spoke so it doesn't slide, a upright location is at the spokes crosses each other. Adjust the senor pickup to the correct distance away from the magnet to seize the best reading. Good luck!
Anywhere is fine.
All you have to do is set your computer program for the diameter of your front helm. Your computer should have this information beside it. If not go on row to the Cateye web site and it will be available in attendance.
I have installed plentiful and it really is quite unproblematic.(with the proper instructions) :-)
One revolution is one revolution, regardless of the loaction on the wheel. The critical item is having the tire diameter enter correctly.

What does the occupancy 'GC' be going to surrounded by the Tour de France?

Question:I'm watching the Tour de France and keep audible range about GC riders. But I'm have a hard time finding out what the initials GC propose.
Answers:

General Classification. Since the tour has 20 stages (daily races) the GC is the signature for the overall standing day after light of day. The announcers will talk more or less how well a rider is doing today but they are far backbone (time) in the GC. When you are watching the each day telecast, you have to remember you are watching two race, the daily stage (a single sunshine of racing on the tour) and the overall 20 days of race. Every second of the race is timed thus adding together up every day to determine where on earth a rider falls in the common classification.
General Classification -- This is the race for the overall lowest time, the washed out jersey wearer.
