What are some of the better bicycle brands?

Question:I was thinking more or less buying a Giant, I'm not sure what to look for though. I want a bike that can go sour road a little, but will also do fine on the street. Any suggestions? Does it thing if it was made for a man or a woman? Whats the difference?
Answers:

I've be extremely happy beside my Bianchi hybrid
Giant makes a perfect bike. Along with Cannondale, Trek, Jamis. They're probably adjectives pretty comparable, it's mostly personal preference. I've have good luck beside Treks for almost 25 years.

All the major manufacturer have a contractor locator feature on their net sites. Check out what they have, afterwards see if there's a dealer surrounded by your area. Get properly fitted, address to a knowledgeable sale person after make the ruling.
It sounds like you are after a hybrid bike (cross between mountain and road). With a hybrid you can enjoy options of disc brakes or mundane, with front fork suspension or not etc. It in recent times depends. Best going to a few bike shops and letting them know what you are after, then construct a decision from that. GIANT is suitable, they are the largest bike producer in the world and because of this you can usually receive them for a better price than others in the bazaar. Another thing to check for is warranty on the frame. Some proposal lifetime, some offer controlled lifetime (not while racing). Hope this helps
adjectives bikes made in china are bullshit i.e. overpriced. good bikes are made within u.s. france belgium

How come my 7 speed bikes gear doesnt correct approaching below:?

Question:Ok, I put the shifter in 1 gear but it wont jump up to the
1st gear on the back stays surrounded by 2nd gear

and when i put the gear shifter on 7 and i turn it to 6 gear, it wont go to 6 gear until after a few seconds/minutes

I want it to budge to 6 gear right way

is my derailer want of Replacements?
Answers:

Your derailer needs adjust, you can find how to do this on lOAds of cycling web page.
Basically you have to adjust the two screw so you can get the biggest and smallest gears later you need to adjust the cable stiffness to be able to select the gear straight away.

To do this put the gear leaver within the second SMALLEST gear and adjust the cable tension untill the derailer is within that gear. Then slightly adjust the cable adjuster to it changes smoothly up and down.
Now recheck the top and bottom decrease screws to product sure the chain does not run stale the biggest or smallest cogs.
Any probs let me know.
Get a foreign bike, that should really help.
turn to the bike shop and have it looked at! to be exact what they are there for. I'm sure you are too busy to buy and sell with this. Ask yourself."Is trying to fix it myself really woth my time.possibly up to $150 per hr?
Take it to the local bike shop, usually they are really cool and fix it for a low price.
yes, the gears are what we called "stripped" and regrettably there is nought you can do to repair it. so yes, i think you call for to get a current "derailer"...good luck!
Well, it will nick time for the wire contained by the (shimoni) shift to tranfer your signal, changing of gears, to the actual gear.

Say you modification from 7th to 6th, it will take atleast 3seconds for it to correction. It also depends on what speed you are pedelling. You cannot be pedeling slowly and ask for it to change gears rapid.

You should understand that the gears work routinely with the power you provide and not battery or fuel. Thus, there is no necessitate for replacements. Unless the gear is not changing at adjectives.
There are many adjustment that can be made on a derailleur.

You have to hold the pedals moving , yet decrease pedalling pressure when you shift.

You can fix this yourself. Cable may need lube. There are screw that act as stops. The cable can also be stretched. This might hang on to it from going into first.Lube the derailleur with a standard lamp spray lube in adjectives of its pivots. Oil the chain. Check for interference between the secure and the front shifter by the pedals. To go from first to seventh take time. The cable moves the derailleur instantly(hopefully) but the chain must way of walking across all the other gears on the approach there.

Just play beside it. You'll figure it out.
