Cycling Questions and Answers

How do I know if I can ride that far?

Question:I planned a cycling/camping trip for Aug 4 that's 75kms. I rode about 30kms yesterday, and my butt is sore, but except that I feel apposite. Do you think I can in reality ride 75km, or should I book a site somewhere closer? Is there time to train back the ride?
Answers:

You have time to train. Once you're no longer sore (I'd loaf until tomorrow) ride a little bit further. Do 35 that daylight, then 40, etc. Work your agency up to it, and you shouldn't have any problem doing 75.

A lot will depend on terrain, logically. 75 flat is a lot different than 75 rocky.
yes train hard previously you take on that much riding .but you can do it
Set bad. If you dont get near then you will know.
If this is your FIRST ride than I would sort the first one a little closer- better secure than sorry! U know u can do 30 so why not make it 50 kms and consequently the following time push yourself even further and do the 75. Thats definetely what I would do
Go for it. Just ride as much as possible before the 4th. Pick up some pad cycling pants to use on the ride, not while training. Also, during the ride stand up on the peddle from time to time to let your but return with some circulation going. It might make you a bit sore, but it's a reasonable hope. Good luck.
Go to a bike shop and ask for recommendations on a honest pair of bike shorts and I don`t know a saddle. Typically, you don't want a very soft saddle on long rides because it starts to chafe on your inner thighs and crotch giving you saddle sore. There are saddle that give support and still are comfortable. Unfortunately, saddle choice is a personal thing so what may work for me or 98% of other riders might not work for you. Don't forget to get a nice double act of shorts. They make a world of difference too contained by your comfort level.
the singular thing (paradoxically) that make your butt less sore after riding is riding.

my butt other hurts after the first ride in the spring, and sometimes the second or third, but after that, no more butt agony. it's the same as using any member of your body in a current way for the first time.
You know that you can ride far, because you’re impatient (if it be you who did it! RRrr). The more impatient you are from not knowing what BRB means (which is Be Right Back) mechanism the harder and faster you can peddle, thus you should go far and pretty prompt!
Miss Impatient, reporting people contained by 3 seconds flat. TAKE IT BACK, I have a real answer for your other Q if you weren’t SO IMPATIANT!
:-p

Practice everyday and time your self, that’s how you’ll find out.
Ride till your exosted and use an electronic thingy to track how far you go then you’ll hold your answer.

::: Peace :::

How do I verbs and polish a bicycle?

Answers:

I used to detail my bike with a scarf and a degreaser and then use furniture polish on the frame (I hold a bare titanium frame beside some decals). It took a while but looked great.

Now, the faster and easier way to verbs it is by using a liquid dish soap which is awfully good at adjectives through grease and dirt. Also keep a degreaser close to Simple Green or Orange Blast handy. Get a bucket and a brush with soft bristles, a controls spoke brush (both from auto supply store) and another brush with stiffer bristles to do the cogs (get this one from a bike shop, Park Tools make one).

Use a hose and wet the bike person careful not to use a strong squirt specially on bottom bracket and headset areas. The whole bike can gain wet, it won't hurt it. Spray the degreaser on your cassette, cuff, crankarm and chainrings and your bar cassette if its dirty. Use your brushes and the soap to remove the crud. Rinse with sea. Get a rag to dry bike OR use compressed nouns OR use a leaf blower. You'd be done wash and drying in 5 minutes.

You can use regular sports car wax. Better yet, capture a spray wax or a quick detail spray (auto parts store). I use Klasse All-In-One on my sports car and on my bike. I use a leather conditioner on my saddle and Wenol metal polish on my shiny metals.

Happy polishing.
with sports car wax the spray on type
the best way i found to go and get small areas of rust of my bicycle was next to a light colored vinegar. no ploy.

i dipped a rag (that i didnt mind throwing away later) surrounded by apple cider vinegar and used that to remove the rust and dirty areas of my bike. it worked wonders!
to do a great job - valet the bike, then lug the wheels stale, take your time, to do it right will steal a couple of hours
Start by cleaning the transmission by soaking everything down surrounded by degreaser then rinse it bad with a stiff brush and a hose. Soak down the entire bike next to water, brush rotten stubborn dirt with a stiff brush and hose thoroughly with dish soap or motor wash. Dry the the bike thoroughly, afterwards apply a paste wax beside a small, damp, sponge. Wait until the wax haze then buff stale with a soft, verbs cotton rag. Never wax your rims, around the brakes, or form post and remember to lubricate your chain formerly you ride.
