A cheap bike shop, look in the washed out pages beneath 'cheap bike shops'. You could also try car boot sale or an auction or small ads within the papers or those customer boards in supermarkets. Bloody hell, do we enjoy to hold your hand as powerfully.

Excessive play contained by front forks/steerer column. . .?
Question:I replaced the front forks on my Specialized bike today and all have gone reasonably resourcefully apart from the fact I'm vanished with an excessive amount of play contained by the steerer. When I turn the front wheel to the side in attendance is a fair amount of movement going on. I hold tightened the spider nut inside the tube and tightened the bar stem up pretty honest but it's still there! Any accepted wisdom as to what to try next? Could I enjoy damaged the spider nut bash it in?

i have the same problem beside my macneil. what i did was i go to my local bike shop and asked them what to do and they said that it could be either of two things.
1. your headset is cracked, or
2. you stipulation a headset spacer.
headset spacers are very cheap. they run inbetween the headset and the stem. i will provide a link to the site where on earth i got my headset spacer from.
yea you could enjoy damaged the star nut but if you are getting side to side play consequently id utter tighten the stem but it sounds like you hold. id probably enjoy to see it , cant figure it out.
Try this...
1) Loosen stem and remove steerer panama.
2) Push the stem DOWN onto the fork until it can't go any farther. The fork steerer must be 1/4" to 1/2" BELOW the top of the stem. If the steerer is too long it must be cut sour or a spacer between stem and headset has to be added.
3) Reinstall the steerer boater. Snug it down only until any play is removed. This is call preloading the bearings... do not undergo down on the cap or bolt!
4) Tighten the stem evenly.
