Upgrade Front Derailleur to Shimano Ultegra?
Question:Is there any true benefit to have your front and rear derailleurs meeting? My CAAD 9 came next to 105 components and the added benefit of an Ultegra rear derailleur.
A race friend has an extra Ultegra backside derailleur that he gave me. It fits the specs for the bike, etc.
Should I bother replacing the front derailleur? Would here be any payoff – faster shifting, weight.

Hey,
the benefits of upgrading your front derailleur from 105 to ultegra wouldn't really construct that much difference. The weight difference would merely be about 20 grams - which is zilch really - and the faster shifting would hardly be clear.
you will find a lot of bikes own rear derailleurs that are a step up from the front, because they do more work.
it's up to you, but intuitively, i wouldn't bother

If it make you feel better, budge ahead and do it. The front D isn't really a part that does profusely of complicated movement. Either it's up or it's down more or less. You won't really see any presentation gain from the change.

Question:Ok, so I'm looking for kind of a larger BMX bike, but I don't want it to be too large, and I want it to be comfortable regarding my point (6'2).
Which brands are the best while being the cheapest?
Also, will shocks contained by the front give me big pop wheelies?

some good street mountain bikes i would probably stir with the ryde myself. you can look at other mountain bike manufacturer for these kind of bikes. im around 6'1 and i ride a large scott voltage yz0. great bike but really expensive.

What bicycle pump do I necessitate for a Claude Butler mountain bike?
Question:I've inherited this bike but can't find a pump to fit. I'm response too lazy to stir into a bike shop today and ask so who's got the answer?

It adjectives depends on the type of stem that your tire tube has.
Presta or Schrader?
Some pumps come beside both connections so you win either method.
Check out the website I listed for you and check out the tools/pumps/lube fragment. I recomend the Joe Blow sport floor pump by Topeak.

A Claude Butler pump
go to your friendly local bike shop.
you should hold at least both a floor pump and a mini pump.
The floor pump is so you can pump your tires beforehand you ride.
Keeping tires at the right pressure (it's on your tire sidewall) is your best insurance to prevent flats. the mini pump is to carry next to you just within case you own a flat on the road (you'll also requirement spare tube, levers and the knowlege and tradition of how to change a flat). I also take a CO2 pump.
All my bike pumps convert to either shraeder or presta and that's so:
1) i can use on any bike and
2) so i can help riders similar to you too lazy to shift to the store.
I'm just kid you about the apathetic bit. Good for you that you're riding, now run get bike pumps.
brands I use: Topeak, Planet Bike, Torelli Mini pump.
There are 2 types of pumps you could grasp.
1) a track pump which is very undemanding to use and pumps tyres up very at full tilt. The only problem them is you cant really pilfer it out riding with you. Something resembling this is good.

2)a mini pump which is usually carried with you when riding. take a bit longer to pump a tyre but can be attached to your bike frame or kept in your pouch.

You probably have schrader or saloon type valves on your claud butler, which vehicle you just hold to take the black dust cap off and push the pump on and lock it near the lever on the pump. If they are presta they will be a lot narrower and own a small thread on the top which you must undo until that time pumping.
What size bike should someone 5'11'' catch?

at 5'11" a 19" frame will probably be good, however, you want to try the bike and brand name sure all the geometry feel right for you first you want to see if your inseam clears the top tube when you are straddling the bike in front of the saddle. subsequent you want to ride it around to see if the head tube angle, form tube angle and other geometry is right. i had bought a nice bike 2 yrs ago but i other felt resembling i was too far forward on the bike i other felt close to i was going to walk over the bars. i bought a Jamis Dakar which is impressively similar to my old bike but the angles are a bit different and it feel better, i feel more confident riding it ii immediately ride it more and handle terrain, jump and drop offs with confidence again

The 20" and 26" refers to the pedals size and is not germain to the size of frame that you require. The measurement is taken from the crux of the crank to the top o f the seat tube. At 5'11" you should look at an 18" or 19" piece of equipment. I am 5'10" and ride a 19" Giant.
