How to fix front brakes ona mountain bike?
Question:my brakes are a cantilever brakes. theylook like V shaped. the problem is that when ever i press te brakes it does not stop the tire intricate!
Answers:
screw out the barrel adjuster on the brake lever a bit. dont step too far, about 1/2 inch. if this doesnts resolve it, afterwards reset the adjuster and unscrew the bolt near the caliper that holds the cable surrounded by place. pull the cable through a moment or two farther and tighten that bolt again. play with the cask adjuster again to get it nice and tight. if its still not stopping consequently get contemporary pads. walk to a bike shop and pay $15 for a two of a kind and you'll be glad you did. they are much better than the walmart crap.
get trial brake pads...mountain bike store = unsullied brake pads
Take it fund to walmart!
dont screw with safekeeping, take it to a bike shop

My first question: Are the wheel the right size for your age?
12" Wheel Cycles - Suitable for ages 2 1/2 to 4
14" Wheel Cycles - Suitable for ages 3 to 5
16" Wheel Cycles - Suitable for ages 5 to 7
20" Wheel Cycles - Suitable for ages 7 to 9
24" Wheel Cycles - Suitable for ages 9 to 11
26"+ Wheel Cycles - Suitable for ages 11+ (These are classed as adult cycles.)
------------------------------...
My second grill: Do you have the right size frame for your stage?
The following rules of thumb should be applied when you try a bike for size:
Racing Bikes: Standing flat footed on the ground, you should have a minimum of 1" clearance between yourself and the top tube of the frame
Mountain Bikes: Standing flat footed on the ground, you should enjoy a minimum of 3" clearance between yourself and the top tube of the frame.
------------------------------...
My third question: is your form adjusted correctly?
To adjust the form height, wear your biking shoes and riding shorts and place your heels on the pedals.
As you pedal backwards, your knees should fully extend contained by the down position. If your hips rock side to side the seat is too large. Now when you move your foot into the proper pedaling position, with the ball of your feet over the pedal, you'll hold a slight bend in your knees.
------------------------------...
If you answer "No" to any of the question, correct the problem and you should stop hitting your knees.
move your chair down?
if not all you can do is push em forwards which isn't concrete
or get a bigger bike
Lower your form.
then you inevitability a new bike...the one you own is too small.
Get a bigger bike..bigger wheels
Lower your form
Lower your seat or go and get a new bike.
buy a bycycle and take rid of the tricycle
Try raising the form. It would allow your knees to rise less. In solid terms, you hold to raise the handlebars too, as raise your seat single, would make you hunch more.
I imagine de bike may be too small for you if your bike is smaller than a 26" wheeled bike. If it is 26", than the form and handlebars ought to be raised. try it, if you can't do it yourself, obtain someone else to do it. Most bikes come equipped with early snaps so you do not need a spanner or monkey wrench.
Try raise your saddle.
After that try improving your language rules, punctuation and capitalization
After that buy a bike that fits. I'm not being unkind. It used to be possible to adjust handlebar height smoothly but due to production cost the "Threadless" headset has replaced the elder threaded sets. The marketing hype was that they be "New and improved" though the real pretext was that the entire process could automated and the guy surrounded by the factory who got compensated $1.00 a day to adjust headset was fired
Look around online you can find several sites that share you how to fit your bike
Raise your seat, for one item. Your leg should be nearly straight at the bottom of your pedal stroke.
But it sounds like your frame is too small to switch on with.

well theres a BMX bike made out of pure titanium that weigh about 9 pounds and is close to 9000USD not sure about engender or model
$6-8 thousand bikes are not common but they are not so exclusive anymore. Most bikes you see when you view the Tour de France are in that variety. Almost anybody's top line frame when you affix some snazzy carbon Lightweight wheels and Dura Ace or Record will bring back you in that ballpark or more. If you want costume jewellery adorning your bike (serious) near some silver and other precious metals, the guys at Columbine Bicycle Works can accomodate every whim and fancy near a corresponding $$$$$ price tag.

Here is something to astound you: $5,000 for a couple of bicycle wheels by Lew Racing coming out surrounded by December 2006.

Specialized sells alot of bikes surrounded by the 6-8 thousand range, their s-works column is expensive but there are so various expensive ones anymore that that is a tricky question to answer
It depends on the bike.
One-off bikes ridden by limited level pros such as Lance Armstrong are priceless. Before the 2004 Tour de France, Trek spent over $250,000 into R&D when designing Lance's trial time trial bike with a narrower bottom bracket. Lance rode the bike once, arranged it sucked, and never rode it again. That's $250,000 wasted.
For consumers, I've see a Ferrari edition Colnago with a retail of $20,000 well-defined down to $15,000. It was such other I thought about purchasing it.
the one most forgot almost is BMC TT bike, starting price is around $13k US, fully set up for racing will elevate the cost easily over $22k. Its a nice ride. Its also the solitary bike where they fly you surrounded by, set you up in a hotel, later do a complete measure on you and is built to your specs. Technically no two will be indistinguishable since each is made by paw. To view simply google BMC bikes, or just travel here. http://www.bmc-racing.com/time_machine+m...
