John Salmons and Sebastian Telfair for Kirk Hinrich?
I know Hinrich is slumping and I would do it, but i'm having a easier said than done time seeing Salmons production reduce after Kevin Martin's return. Should I construct the trade?Answers: I wouldnt make the trade. With the coaching make over in Chicago, Hinrich might turn it around. And he have started to get better over the recent past 2-3 weeks (albiet not to his final 20ish rank from 06-07). You never know, and this if factor really shouldnt warrant trading a 4-5th round pick for a bunch of waiver rope pickups.
I really do not see Telfair and Salmons giving you much long term. Telfair is gone once Jaric get 100% and Foye comes back. As for Salmons, his stats are great, but once Martin returns, he will drop to MAYBE a 100 reputation player at best. Plus, with martin out 4-6 weeks since Dec 5, You might get hold of 4-5 more games of Salmons starting before you lose those stats. Tentatively, Mid Jan, salmons is on the bench.
I wouldnt influence dont trade Hinrich, but get better long residence value than a Salmons and Telfair carton.
maybe NO!!!!!
No! John Salmons is too useful to get rid of right in a minute. With Bibby and Martin on the shelf he has stepped up defensively and rudely.. Hinrich has be totally inconsistent this season and doesn't look as if he's gonna break the trend anytime soon.. Telfair shouldn't even be on any fantasy squad.. Get rid of him and pick up someone like Jose Calderon or Beno Udrih if available..
